Los Angeles based character designer and animator Martin Hsu is gearing up for his latest solo show to be held at Rotofugi gallery and shop this Friday.
Working for both Disney (creator of the Kick Buttowski character) and Nickelodeon, and designing the infamous Ruby Gloom, Hsu’s distinct style shines through in everything he touches. Citing “animals, nature, blush in the young and wrinkles in the old” as inspiration, his melding of various creatures creates a sinister yet strangely endearing backdrop to his work.
