A first for the Saatchi Gallery, new exhibition ‘The Shape of Things to Come’ has dedicated it’s space entirely to 3D sculptural art. Showcasing the work of leading sculptors including David Batchelor, Rojer Hiorns, Sterling Ruby and David Thorpe, the exhibition surveys the recent international trends in the ancient artistic discipline.
A particular highlight by the German artist Dirk Skreber entitled Crash portrays two sports cars wrapped around huge iron bars, challenging perceptions of both strength and fragility with visually striking results.
The show runs until 16th October at the Saatchi gallery, London.
