Last Friday night saw the opening of the long awaited ‘Here Is My Art’ gallery show at Meltdown Comics, LA. Based on the popular Nickelodeon T.V show Yo Gabba Gabba, interpretations in a wide variety of media came from the likes of Parker Jacobs, Joel Trussel, Brandon Bird and the shows creator, Christian Jacobs.
Blurring the lines between kids television and adult contemporary design, Yo Gabba Gabba has built up a steady cult following in recent years, with clothing and toy lines from the respected Kidrobot cementing the show’s ‘kitsch-cool’ status.
‘Here Is My Art’- A Yo Gabba Gabba Gallery Show will be running until the end of the month at Meltdown Comics, LA.
