Comics: Stripped Bare

Combining his love of designer toys and comics, German artist VISEone is poised to open his first ‘custom’ solo exhibition entitled ‘Comic Stripped’ at the Outland gallery, Amsterdam.

Using a wide range of toys as platforms for his creations, VISEone has based each of the designs on famous comic strips and cartoons. The top layer of the customs portray central characters from the comics, whilst their ‘stripped’ skin reveals detailed collages of the strips themselves, resulting in a very impressive homage to graphic illustration.

Along with VISEone’s customised toys, the exhibition will also be host to previews of new production toys, TUBE customs and all new Comic Stripped canvas works.

‘Comic Stripped’ runs between July 3rd – 31st at the Outland Designer Toy Shop and Gallery, Amsterdam.
