MAJOR SITE ANNOUNCEMENT: Change-over to MAN-E-TOYS.com next Monday (30.01.12)…

We mentioned a couple of weeks back that we’ve been planning some major changes to the site since our shift in focus towards the art toy scene, and today we can finally reveal what those are going to be…

  • First off, the name change. As from Monday (January 30th) the Tru:Teknology Files will be known as MAN-E-TOYS.com. Old TTF links will still work, but anyone using the truteknologyfiles.com address will be re-directed to the new site.
  • Alongside our daily news feed and the recently introduced A week in toys… and Custom round-up… weekly articles, we will be introducing a new feature, The MAN-E-TOY project…,which will be documenting the progress of our very first art toy- the T.M.N.T-F.L.A.B keshi inspired mini figure (and the 3″ Pilko).
  • The new site will also see the comeback of last year’s Retro:Respect series, a monthly article looking at the art toy scene’s biggest influences. The Playmates Teenage Mutant Turtles featured in our first issue, so we thought it apt to delve into the world of keshi/M.U.S.C.L.E for our next piece, considering the theme of our MAN-E-TOY project!
  • The new site will also bring a new, cleaner layout- with easier to find links, a featured post slideshow for quicker viewing, and a brand-spanking new identity that’s easier to recognise and harder to forget!
  • Plus the arrival of the long awaited shop- more details to follow!

Unfortunately we won’t be posting much over the next few days, but expect us back on Monday with some seriously hot exclusives, huge interviews with some of the industry’s finest (including the mighty Peter Kato and JPK), plus a gargantuan update of all the latest news from the past few days!

Thanks to all our readers, see you on the other side!
