New York artist JK5 (of Flowbot fame) has just revealed his latest collaboration with Kidrobot, the Astrofresh Basketball Droyds. Combining two of the artist’s greatest passions, a certain George Lucas film and basketball, the 8.5″ figures have rather interestingly been crafted in resin- could this be marking a change for the almost exclusively vinyl Kidrobot?! It’ll be interesting to see how these are received…
Coming in the regulation orange coloured ‘Galactic Game Ball’ and the retro red, white, and blue ‘Hyper All-Star’ editions, the figures have been limited to just 327 in total, with a price tag of $100 (£79.90 UK) each. Look out for these from March 8th at your local Kidrobot retailer…
