MAN-E-NEWS// The Halloween specials from Peter Kato…

Following the release of his latest wave of resin figures at NYCC a couple of weeks back (check them out in full here), our good friend Peter Kato is back with a whole slew of Halloween themed goodies! Here’s a quick rundown of what will be hitting the PK store later on today (October 26th)…

Ninja-Robo Pumpkin Slashers// “Always on the look-out for pumpkins to slash up into jack’o lanterns!” The third variant of Peter’s digitally sculpted Ninja-Robos, the Pumpkin Slashers have been cast in a gorgeous clear orange resin, finished with hand painted black detailing (including separately cast black katana arms!). Standing at 3″ tall, the figures have been limited to just 5 pieces, coming with a price tag of $25 each…

Halloween Party FrightBites// Resurrecting the much loved Fright Bite one more time, Peter proudly presents 2 new variants, Slime Green and Candy Orange. Cast in clear green and orange resins, the mischievous Fright Bite comes lovingly hand finished in a mixture of red, black and white. Once again limited to 5 pieces, both colourways will set you back just $10 a piece…

Tako-Pumpkins// With an adorable round shaped head, Peter has wasted no opportunity in giving these little guys a full pumpkin make-over, painting the clear orange resin figures in a jack’o lantern style with a green stem drilled into the top! As with past Turtle Tetsujin and Tako Cube releases, the Tako-Pumpkins feature a hand painted ghost that has been embedded within the chest with clear resin. Limited to 5 pieces (starting to see a pattern emerging here!), the 2.5″ tall figures can be yours for just $15 each…

Skeletor Tako-Cubes// Leaving the best to last (in our eyes at least!), Peter rounds off the Halloween series with the release of yet another awesome Tako-Cube edition… inspired by the one and only Skelitor! Cast in a mixture of solid dark and light blue resin with yellow and purple highlights, the embedded chest piece comes with an awesome rendition of He-Man’s sworn enemy- WANT! Priced at $15 each, these will also be limited to just 5…

MAN-E-XTRA// Peter Kato’s “Blister” resin for the Scary Girl Ten Year Anniversary Show…

Now, in addition to his humungous Halloween drop, Peter has also been kind enough to share his piece for Toy Tokyo’s 2012 Halloween Show, the “Nathan Jurevicius presents Scary Girl: Ten Year Anniversary Exhibition”… Deciding upon creating a small 5 piece run inspired by Jurevicius’ Blister character, the figure has been created using the never-before-released Alpha body that Peter created before settling upon the Turtle Tetsujin design we all know and love. Originally planned as a “base body” (kind of like a he-man base muscle body) that was due to be used for numerous other figure designs, it’s great to see it finally see the light of day- albiet without a head per say! Cast in a clear green resin, each figure features the face of blister embedded in the chest, coming complete with dark spots and black hand painted detailing… Dropping at the show’s opening on October 31st, expect to pay just $30 a piece.
