New ‘KO’ inspired custom bootleg line ‘Bones and Daggers‘ is set to receive it’s first release this week, as we proudly reveal to you guys the awesome Alabastard… A tribute to Herr Bone from the infamous ‘Flex-A-Tron’ line, the figure has been kit-bashed from a Galaxy Warrior body and modified AWA Larry Zybysko head, coming complete with digitally sculpted armour and weapons. Beautifully hand cast with both rubber and resin parts, steel-eyelet articulation, and durable nylon accessories, the figure comes housed in an equally extravagant 2-sided color printed UV coated card and removable magnetized bubble. Priced at $140 plus shipping, Alabastard will be available via e-mail (bonesndaggers@gmail.com, subject ‘Alabastard’) from Friday, February 8th at 12pm PST. Be sure to head over to the blog here for the full rules and conditions… We understand that the next 2 B&D figures are already cast up and raring to go, so expect to hear more from this promising line very soon!
The Bones and Daggers story:
THE RESURRECTED UNIVERSE WARRIORS- THE LEGENDARY HEROES OF FANTASY HAVE LONG BEEN LAID TO REST. HOWEVER, MYSTERIOUS BONE DAGGER ARTIFACTS HAVE BEEN APPEARING THROUGHOUT THE WORLD EMBEDDED WITH A STRANGE METEOR. WHEN THE DAGGER PIERCES THE SKULL OF A WARRIOR THEY BECOME SKEL-E-TIZED AND REBORN WITH SKEL-METAL ARMOR. ONCE UNDER THE DAGGERS POWER THEY CANNOT ESCAPE ITS CONTROL. WHERE DID THE BONE DAGGERS COME FROM AND WHAT IS THEIR SECRET INTENT?
ALABASTARD WAS ONCE EMBEDDED WITH FLEX-E-TRON TECHNOLOGIES ALLOWING FOR GREAT COMBATIVE PROWESS. THIS WAS THE FIRST CONFIRMED BONE DAGGER RESURRECTION AND ALL OF HIS PREVIOUS POWERS HAVE BEEN GREATLY MAGNIFIED. NOW ALABASTARD TRAVELS THE WORLD IN SEARCH OF MORE OF HIS REBORN BROTHERS. WHO WILL BE DISCOVERED NEXT?

That’s a terrible looking figure. And $140? No thanks.
True, the figure most definitely isn’t for everyone, but the level of production is insane if you take a closer look- steel joint articulation, 3d printed weapons and some awesome packaging all go towards that pretty hefty price tag… You have to remember, this guy was never meant to look pretty- he’s a knock off of a knock off!! :p
Interesting. I wasn’t even going to comment until I saw the price tag. The aesthetics don’t match the money for me, but that production level is insane. Admittedly, I missed that the accessories were rapid prototyped. It’s an odd disconnect between the production value and the sculpt.
Thanks for getting back man! Hopefully the next couple of B&D figures will be more your bag, I should have some pics of them soon. Admittedly the white and orange doesn’t do the sculpt justice in this pic, but it is a pretty much perfect translation of the original rubber flexy toy. Here’s a link to a pic that I really should’ve included in the post for the sake of context! http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i375/skullbooska/flex_2.jpg
Again, thanks for your reply, opinions on this site are very much welcome 😉
