With SGTCC opening it’s doors tomorrow morning, master toy maker Daniel Yu has just revealed a whole slew of figures that he’ll have up for grabs at booth AA90! To all those lucky enough to be able to attend this weekend, here’s a quick rundown of what you’ll be able to pick up…
The Footmen “Neon Tribes”- Previously featured here last week, Daniel’s latest custom Playmobil figure takes direct inspiration from the 1989 TMNT cartoon’s Foot Soldier minions – more accurately the Playmate action figure interpretations – featuring the same instantly recognisable hooded ninja design, albeit with Daniel’s super-fine attention to form and texture. Produced in a flurry of mixed neon resin parts and coming with neo magnet articulation, these will be up for grabs as singles (price TBC), or as a 7 piece “Super Set”, coming with an extra “shadow” Footman and retro mutagen canister!
Metalhead “Blind Anarchy”- Daniel’s other all-new figure Metalhead will also be making it’s debut at the con in a special “Blind Anarchy” run. Produced in various resin finishes, including standard opaques, metallics and pearlescents, the unpainted, unarticulated figures are due to be sold randomly “blind bag” style (price TBC).
Mystery Mortis “version 2.00”- The hugely popular Mortis mini figure returns for 2 new runs at SGTCC, the first coming in the form of a follow-up to the “Mystery Mortis” release! As with Metalhead, these static, 3″ tall figures have been cast up in a variety of different resin finishes – including neons, glitters and marbles – selling randomly “blind bag” style (price TBC).
Mortis “Noir”- Joining the “Mystery” run, Daniel has prepared yet another amazing hand painted Mortis run, this time opting for a sleek film noir inspired palette of dark greys, blues and black. Likely to be limited to around 10 pieces, pricing, as with the other releases, is still to be confirmed…
