MAN-E-NEWS// Pico Pico’s Kumaboku prototype for One-Up at Design Fiesta 40…

Whilst inevitably there was a huge selection of new toys to buy at Design Fiesta 40 over the weekend, the event also played host to a number of never-before-seen prototypes, the first of which that we’ll be covering coming in the form of this breathtaking new sofubi from One-Up… Kumaboku! Designed and sculpted for the Japanese retailer by Pico Pico, the beautifully realised robo-bear appears to feature a 2 part design – suggesting a small, mini-sized scale – coming complete with stunning cutaway sections that reveal an intricate, Terminator-like aesthetic underneath. Whilst a clear release date still hasn’t been set for the figure yet, the slightly damaged nature of the sculpt would suggest that a mould has probably already been cast from it, meaning the first vinyl pulls shouldn’t be too far off!
