Refreshment Toy will be joining a whole host of other Japanese sofubi artists for the Toys, Things & Art group show at SF’s Woot Bear Gallery this week, bringing along with them a limited edition “Pierced Mohawk” version of their hugely popular Many Eyes Cat! Produced in a clear vinyl this time around, the all-seeing “cupcake cat” has been treated to Refreshment’s signature internal paint app in a mix of white, orange, red and black, coming complete with a hand threaded mohawk and piercings in the ears and labret. Touching down alongside a selection of other sofubi creations from the likes of Dehara and Uamou at the show’s opening this Friday, April 10th, pricing and edition size for the “Pierced Mowhawk” many Eyes Cats are still to be confirmed.
