Originally teased here early last month, the as yet untitled vintage computer-style sofubi from Baketan has just been revealed in its first painted colorway! Heavily inspired by Apple’s iconic Macintosh II computer, the adorable slab of retro tech comes complete with vintage-style buttons, switches, cartridge slots and even – in a nod to previous Baketan releases – a pair of super-cute cats ears. Pictured here in what we hope to be the first painted run, the little guy has been produced in a cream soft vinyl with a subtle weathered yellow paint app complete with an authentic logo and font inspired by Apple’s classic ident. Whilst release details are still thin on the ground at present, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that the figure will see the light of day soon…
But that’s not all! Continuing the never ending flow of new toys recently, Baketan have also revealed that they’ve been working on a new “large” size Nenne! Sticking very close to the original design, it would appear that the hooded feline will be around twice the size of its predecessor, coming in at around 6″ tall and featuring extensive articulation. Stay tuned for more news on the figure soon!
