Fresh from this week’s “Blank Black” release (check it here), Splurrt/Secretoy’s hugely popular Cinema Monster sofubi is set to return as a painted micro-run courtesy of Paul Kaiju soon! Heavily inspired by the golden age of monster flicks – including both Ray Harryhausen’s classic Cyclops and the 2-headed “Galligantua” that graces the iconic cover of 1968′s Famous Monsters of Filmland yearbook – the lumbering 10″ tall beast has been produced in a glow-in-the-dark soft vinyl this time around, coming with layers of metallic sprays and hand brushed detailing courts of PK. Whilst we don’t have any specific release details to announce at present, we’ve been told that these will be available via lottery sales through the PK site over the coming weeks. Keep track of the artist’s Instagram feed here for more info soon!
