Awesome Toy delve into the world of cryptozoology for not one, but two all-new figure releases this week! First up, we have AT’s take on the infamous Big Foot. Based on a vintage gorilla sofubi mini, the little guy has been upscaled to a huge 10″ tall, coming with articulation in the waist and arms. Cast in a black soft vinyl and treated to brown and silver sprays faithful to the original toy, this pre-release edition of Big Foot is currently up for grabs at just $120 shipped worldwide. Anyone interested in purchasing the figure is going to need to send over the funds via PayPal to catcatftw@gmail.com– be sure to get in quick as any orders over the allotted supply will be refunded!

Fiji-Mermaid-1

Next up, we have the arrival of Gorgoloid‘s Fiji Mermaid in glorious soft vinyl! Based on the original sideshow oddity that was bought by an American Sea Captain from Japanese sailors in the early 1800’s, these “mermaids” were created by Asian fishermen who would stitch together taxidermy monkey and fish bodies to resemble the mythical beasts. Coming in at around 3.5″ long, Gorgoloid’s rendition has been slightly altered to fit the new medium, featuring a similar 2-part design with simplified arm and head detailing. Currently up for grabs in a choice of 4 unpainted colorways, the Fiji Mermaid can currently be found residing in the Toy Underground store right here for just $20 plus shipping…
