The ever elusive GEEK! have just unveiled a trifecta of new figures they’ll have up for grabs at tomorrow’s Shiryousei Expo 09, each coming even bigger and more monstrous than the last! First up, we have the gruesome Android ROMEO. Designed and sculpted by sofubi first-timers Big Stone Trading Company, the beautifully realised piece stands at a modest 11″ tall, coming with articulation in the arms, legs and head. Produced in a brown soft vinyl, this first version has been treated to subtle metallic green and gold sprays reminiscent of cult 80’s toy line Sectaurs… Next, we have GEEK!’s first collaboration with sofubi heavyweight Gumtaro, the False Messiah. Taking on the appearance of an owl, this incredibly detailed kaiju plays host to a number of awesome design features, including our favourite, a crazy looking ornamental elephant belt! Standing at an impressive 13.75″, this debut “Birth” edition appears to have been cast in a black vinyl with layers of aqua, red, yellow and brown sprays… Last, but by no means least, we have the gargantuan Minotaur! The second collaboratively produced figure with Dream Rocket, this iconic beast from Greek mythology is GEEK!’s biggest figure to date (quite some feat if previous releases are to go by!), standing at an staggering 17.75″ tall. Produced in a milky soft vinyl and adorned with silver highlights over purple, yellow and black sprays, this “Helter Skelter” version comes complete with chains and battle axe accessory… All going on sale at the Nakano-based event tomorrow (5/3), expect to pay 10,000yen, 25,000yen and 30,000yen for each respectively. Here’s hoping we see follow-up versions of all 3 in the Medicom store soon!
