Realising that one of the most common yokai in Japanese folk lore – the tsukumogami* known as Karakasa – has seen surprisingly few renditions in toy form, Science Patrol have decided to redress the balance with their very own take on the cycloptic umbrella ghost! Pictured here as a finished wax prototype, the little guy appears to be in-scale with Science Patrol’s previous yokai-inspired figures at around 3″ tall, coming with a simple, 2-part design and an indent for the series’ familiar dolls eye inset. Set to debut in soft vinyl soon-ish, you can be sure that as soon as we have word on the first release, you guys will be the first in the know…
