Tim Clarke x Clutter Magazine’s “Zombie Tribe” Mini Boglins teased…

Hot on the heals of King Mini Boglin’s reveal just a few weeks back, it appears the single figure has quickly morphed into a whole series as creator Tim Clarke and producers Clutter have just unveiled 2 more designs that’ll be featuring as part of a zombie-themed run soon! Whilst we just have these preliminary sculpts and sketches to go on at present, it would appear the little guys will be very much in-keeping with the original early 90’s mini figure line, with a total of 8 rough and ready sculpts planned for this undead “tribe”. Due for release in resin over the next month or so, be sure to stay locked for the full lowdown soon…

Secret Base’s “Blue Glitter” SpongeBob DX at TAG…

Toy Art Gallery have secured a limited batch of the latest Spongebob DX sofubi from Secret Base, the “Blue Glitter” edition! Standing at around 6.5″ tall, the officially licensed soft vinyl figure has been cast in an unpainted clear soft vinyl this time around, coming complete with a vibrant blue glitter skeletal insert with black sprayed detailing. Coming packed with an exclusive matching key chain, the “Blue Glitter” Spongebob DX will be touching down in the TAG store this Wednesday, August 10th at Noon Pacific for just $90 plus shipping…

Uky Daydreamer’s Sukurio sculpt revealed…

Uky Daydreamer are proud to reveal yet another new sculpt they’ll have up for grabs soon, the beautiful Sukurio! Essentially a follow-up to the mini sized Sqrio, this upscaled version (approximately 8″ tall) features the same simple transforming capabilities as before, albeit with a much more detailed, organic focused design that replaces smooth lines and refined shapes for skulls, tentacles and eyes. Due to head into production very soon, we’ll be keeping our finders crossed for Sukurio’s sofubi debut in the next couple of months…

CAST’s “Summers End” and “Dark Arts” Fumetsu…

Adam Saul over at Cop A Squat Toys has just revealed that his Fumetsu sofubi is set to return this week in 2 all-new colorways! Heavily inspired by vintage toys such as Astro-Mu 5, the line features a total of 4 very different “trans-human” characters; Erewhon, Vinge, Neuman and Kurzweil; each coming with an ingenious removable torso that reveals a fifth “super computer” character named Allesh inside. Produced in a clear soft vinyl with GID guts this time around, we have the “Summers End” edition, featuring a unique striped paint app for each figure, plus “Dark Arts”, coming in a mix of charcoal, gold and clear red sprays with hand painted detailing. Limited to just a handful of figures each, both runs will be touching down in the CAST store this Tuesday, August 9th at 2pm Eastern for just $80 per figure plus shipping…

Gumtaro are proud to announce that their Gyogura sofubi has returned in an all-new colorway this week courtesy of One-Up! One of the most charming soft vinyl minis we’ve seen in a long time, the adorable 3.3″ tall, 2-part “space fish” has been produced in what appears to be a clear soft vinyl this go around, coming with gorgeous c-thru metallic purple, green and gold sprays. Originally debuting at Mandarake‘s Daiman Festival, the Ouroboros from Leo Sofvi Bouya are now available via worldwide mail order! Featuring 3 very different designs; “Iris”, who appears to be modelled on Leo’s recurring Fairy mascot, 50’s styled ‘bot Gravior, plus, in a nod to “Taboo” Guzo, the shark-toothed Typhon; each comes in at around 6.5″ tall, featuring fully-interchangeable heads, torsos, arms and legs that can form a whopping total of 243 different combinations. Produced in contrasting pink, brown and baby teal soft vinyl for this first release, the Ouroboros trio will set you back just 15,000yen plus shipping. Star Case‘s Yuu Katagiri has just revealed that their “Scum Hunter” sofubi is set to return this month in an all-new “Gold Glitter” colorway! The fourth figure to feature in SC’s Star Wars knock-off line Star Convoy, this Boba Fett inspired design stands at around 5.5″ tall, comes with 3 points of articulation, plus a removable bounty hunter mask. Produced in an unpainted clear gold glitter-infused vinyl this time around, the latest Scum Hunter will be going on sale through the Star Case store on Monday, August 22nd. Pricing is still to be confirmed, but expect to pay around the 7,000yen mark…

With RESTORE’s Dr Death now having received several releases since its debut back in October last year, it comes with great pleasure to find that the other 2 figures in Rockin’ Jelly Bean and Blackdots‘ hotly tipped Freaky Monster Village series are now finally up for grabs! Bad Teeth Comics’ Soft Vinyl Mayhem 2 t-shirt preorder…

With Australia’s premiere toy show Soft Vinyl Mayhem returning in little over a month’s time, co-organiser Glenn Manders of Bad Teeth Comics has prepared an all-new t-shirt design to celebrate the much anticipated event! In keeping with the show’s borrowed Street Fighter 2 aesthetic, the SVM2 shirts feature a number of the toys that’ll be making an appearance at the show, all reimagined by Glenn in the classic 90’s collage style. Printed on white Gildan shirts (sizes small – XXL) with a tour shirt-style artist line up on the back, interested parties can currently find them in the Bad Teeth store right here via preorder. The Chō Kōsoku Galvion “Garubion” sofubi at Mandarake’s Daiman Festival…

Mandarake have unveiled a number of new toys they’ll have up for grabs at their upcoming Daiman Festival this week, the highlight for us coming in the form of this incredible licensed Chō Kōsoku Galvion sofubi! Taken directly from the classic 80’s mecha anime, “Garubion” has been faithfully recreated in soft vinyl form, standing at a gargantuan 12.5″ tall and featuring extensive articulation that changes the figure from ‘bot to car within seconds. Produced in Garubion’s signature white, blue, grey and black for this first run, the figure will be going on sale at the festival this Friday, August 5th for 19,440yen. Here’s hoping we see a version outside of Japan soon!

Brandt Peters x Real Head’s Astro-Bat debut…

Originally teased back in May, the Astro-Bat from Brandt Peters and Real Head will finally see its first release as part of the artist’s Outer Limits show at Stranger Factory this week! Following along the same lines as RxH’s previous collaborations with Paul Kaiju and MVH, the 9″ tall figure features all-new head and arms attachments on the standard Chaosman body, albeit with a bat-like, Skelve twist. Produced in what appears to be a black soft vinyl and treated to cream, red and metallic sprays, this first run of 6 figures will be joined by a number of one-offs at the show’s opening this Friday, August 5th… Here’s hoping for an online release soon after!

Slave One have just unleashed their latest release online, the “Space Monkey” Haku micro-run! A unique mix of organism and machine, the beautifully realised figure stands at a humongous 19″ tall, featuring 6 points of articulation, plus retractable column arms that can be stored in the head. Produced in what appears to be a white soft vinyl and treated to black and silver sprays with hand painted detailing, this “Attack” version has been priced at 30,000yen plus shipping. Planet 3 Toys’ “Nigori” Bōzu sofubi revealed…

Following a successful debut last month, Planet 3 Toys‘ Bōzu sofubi is set to return soon in an all-new “Nigori” colorway! Based on the yokai Ao Bōzu ( “Blue Monk” ) from Japan, the 3.5″ tall finger puppet-style figure has been produced in an unpainted milky white soft vinyl inspired by Nigori, an unfiltered sake that produces a similar cloudy appearance. Going on sale via Lulubell Toys within the next few weeks, be sure to keep an eye out on Softoy Hobby for the full lowdown on drop times and pricing soon…

TAN x Purple Toy’s Death Melon micro-run…

Purple Toy have teamed up with none other than TAN for the release of the first ever painted Death Melon! Coming in at around 10″ in diameter, the super-gross ball has been limited to an edition of 5 pieces; 2 in a Devilman-inspired green, blue and red paint app, 2 in a gruesome bloody paint app, and a final one-off that remains unrevealed at present. It’s been quite some time since we last saw a release of The Tarantulas’ Nibbler sofubi, so it came with great pleasure this morning to find that Rampage Toys‘ Jon Malmstedt will be reviving it for his next Sofubi Saloon event this month! Standing at around 4.5″ tall and featuring 4 points of articulation, the Real Head-produced figure has been cast in a banana yellow soft vinyl this time around, coming in Jon’s signature palette of blue sprays with red have painted detailing.
