Hot on the heals of our very own Tru:Tek’s recent release, Paul Kaiju is the latest artist to take on TAN‘s highly popular Mimi Monster sofubi for a limited release this weekend! Dubbed “Punk Eyes”, the 5.5″ slimy cyclops has been produced in a green soft vinyl this time, coming with matte and metallic sprays, detail hugging rubs and meticulous brush work. Limited to just a handful of figures, these will be touching down in PK’s store this coming Sunday, June 18th at 6pm Pacific time… But that’s not all! Joining the standard run, Paul will also have a special “Blood Metal” one-off up for grabs too. Featuring copper metallic sprays over a blood red rub, this guy will be up for grabs at the same time for $150…

Produced by Unbox Industries as part of Play’s ongoing VINART series (of which we’re told to expect a full line of Gatchaman figures soon), the official, Tsubaraya-licensed piece has been cast in a clear soft vinyl, coming with a unique “poison” paint app featuring c-thru rainbow sprays over a black/silver base. Longneck’s Yoda Masahico has teamed up with Mandarake to offer up a special one-off “White Hair 666″ Seabed Maijin this week! Standing at around 13” tall, the highly sought after figure – a homage to Cosmo’s “Fish” Alien gacha – has been produced in an unpainted black/dark red soft vinyl, complete with hand threaded white hair and a submarine omake. With Gory Hole‘s relaunch just over a week away now, we’ve decided to give you guys a closer look at one of the many items that’ll be up for grabs in-store next Friday, June 24th… the deluxe Warui Zonbi mini sets! Solely focussing on our legion of keshi fans this time around, these sweet packs consist of mini rubber versions of both Selwyn and SS Werewolf from series 1 (designed by Tru:Tek and sculpted by TTToy’s Makino-san) in a previously unreleased flesh-tone, matching soft enamel pin badges designed by Kotobuki-man, plus a matching Bikkuriman-style holographic sticker- all packed up in a custom hand cut windowed display box. Solo Is Toy’s “Molochowl” sofubi revealed…

Making its first appearance at Soft Vinyl Garden’s Oz Comic Con booth over the weekend, the debut sofubi from Solo Is Toy, “Molochowl”, has just been revealed in-full! The latest figure to jump on the recent trend for 2-headed monster designs, this beast features a very similar aesthetic to the iconic horned Jack the Giant Killer-inspired Bemon, coming in at a super-chunky 10″ tall with 6 points of articulation. Pictured here in the gorgeous metallic blue and purple colorway that was revealed at Oz Con, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that this version of Molochowl sees a general release soon…

Roooockyyy’s Cucumi sofubi revealed…

Up and coming sofubi producer Roooockyyy has just unveiled his debut sofubi, the stunning Cucumi! Whilst information on the figure remains scarce at present, it would appear that the yokai-based design has been heavily inspired by the water dwelling Kappa, featuring a similar beaked face, pot belly and shell-like back. Produced in a neon green vinyl for its first outing, we’re told that the mid-size figure will be ready for release soon… Keep checking back here for word on how to pick one up over the next couple of weeks!

Terrible Whore’s Bat Mother Fucker sofubi revealed…

 

Having had continued success with their Fucking Four Fingers figure over the past year, Terrible Whore have finally decided to reveal a follow-up to the elusive claw, proudly presenting Bat Mother Fucker! Once again drawing inspiration from classic 80’s toys, the huge figure pays homage to one of the rarer pieces in the Madballs back catalog, the Monster Baseball Bat, featuring a similar design filled to the brim with gross out details including exposed brains, worms and stitching. Produced in a green soft vinyl with red and yellow sprays similar to the original Madballs design, this first version is set to drop very soon… Keep an eye on Terrible Whore’s Instagram feed for more details!

Soft Vinyl Garden at Oz Comic Con ’16…

Fresh from their first ever group show a couple months back, Soft Vinyl Garden will be descending upon Oz Comic Con with yet another shed load of goodies from the length and breadth of sofubi! With highlights including the first painted Sludge Fighter one-off from Mutant Vinyl Hardcore, custom Astro Skullbots and Zombitrons from Kenth Toy Works (pictured below), the debut of Miyajuana from PLT Toy, plus a reveal of Solo Is Toy’s Molochowl amongst many, many more, interested parties Down Under are going to need to make the trek to the Melbourne-based con this weekend to check out this incredible line-up. Opening its doors at the Convention and Exhibition Centre at 9am tomorrow (6/11) for 2 days of toy/comic-relayed goodness, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that any leftovers from the booth make it online soon after…

Up and coming Hong Kong sofubi producers Mamemoyashi are proud to announce the arrival of their first ever figure, the adorable Maguro! Created as part of a series of sea food inspired monsters, the blade wielding tuna fish stands at around 5″ tall, complete with 4 points of articulation and a rather interesting sushi-style torso design. Cast in what appears to be a mix of white soft vinyl and PVC with beautiful life-like metallic blue/neon red sprays with silver highlights, this first version is currently up for grabs through Vintage Vinyl Club for just $390HK ($50) until the end of July… Living in North America?
