Originally debuting way back in April of last year, the fourth figure in Skullmark‘s Galaxy Commanders line – Commander Mach – is the first to receive its second colorway this week! Directly inspired by obscure 1977 action figure line “Starroid Raiders” from Tomland, the 9” tall Mach comes cast in an red vinyl with masked gold/black sprays and a black/yellow chest panel insert inspired by the original Mach Baron. Bob Conge aka Plaseebo kindly shares his latest creation, a figure simply known as the “Ghost”! A one-of-kind custom utilising Kaiju Coup and Medicom Toy’s Warui Inu, the 6″ piece has been cast in a crystal clear vinyl complete with red glass eye inserts and a switched color-changing LED unit that illuminates the color gel and GID guts found inside. Skinner is proud to reveal that his titanic Morgogg sofubi will be making a welcome return this week in an all-new painted colorway! Whilst little info has been shared about the release so far, it would appear that the 14″ of Ray Harryhausen-inspired barbarian has been produced in a red soft vinyl this time around, coming with gorgeous metallic ice blue, yellow and black sprays. Unoblab’s Telerobo sofubi revealed…

Start-up sofubi producers Unoblab have just unveiled their debut figure, the jaw-dropping Telerobo! A twisted mix of cult kids show the Teletubbies and the best of neo kaiju (most notably Shigeru Arai’s NagNagNag), the stunning creation appears to feature 7 points of articulation, coming complete with a T.V infused in the mid section, a familiar (albeit a whole load more disturbing) antenna-mounted head, plus a ton of beautiful textured detail that we’re sure will be a ton of fun to paint. Whilst details on Telerobo’s first release are still thin on the ground at present, anyone interested in bagging one of the first figures may be interested to know that Unoblab are currently running a competition to win just that. Originally making their debut at Design Fiesta Vol.43 a couple of weeks back, the last remaining Gyogura sofubi from Gumtaro‘s  second official release will be making their way online later today! One of the most charming soft vinyl minis we’ve seen in a long time, the adorable 3.3″ tall, 2-part figure will be available in 2 different colorways this time around; a blank flesh for 2,000yen ($18) and a milky white with blue/pink sprays and gold/metallic blue detailing for 3,500yen ($32). Going on sale via the Gumtaro store at 9pm Japan time tonight, supplies will be limited so be sure to head over quick to avoid disappointment!

Yep, yet more from retailer Yamakichiya today and something a little different than our usual coverage to boot, as the guys proudly present their latest officially licensed toys from Sega… the Space Harrier garage kits! Created by RC Berg as part of their ongoing Videogame Heroes series, the 1/12 scaled release consists of 2 different characters from the cult shoot ’em up; lead protagonist Space Harrier himself and classic bad guy Ida the Stone Head.

Coming packed in unassembled, unpainted form complete with a whole host of accessories, both resin sets can currently be found in the Yamakichiya store via open preorder, coming in at just 10,584yen and 9,720yen respectively… Look out for more Yamakichiya x Sega soon!

Siccaluna Koubo’s Monster??? sofubi revealed…

The guys behind Siccaluna Koubo have started teasing their next release, the jaw-dropping ghoul you see above! Whilst we have very little to go on at present aside from the posted tag “monster???”, the stunning piece  – presumably around 12″ tall – features a very similar aesthetic to Siccaluna’s current collaboration with SX Toy, the Yabanjin, coming with near identical textures, form and coloring- albeit with a 1959’s b-movie twist… Likely to make its debut in Japan very soon, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that retailers in the West get their hands on a version soon…
