Continuing his 10th Anniversary celebrations this week, Bob Conge aka Plaseebo comes with the sixth instalment in his Plaseebo Mummy series! Standing at around 7″ tall, the creepy figure has been cast in a green glow-in-the-dark vinyl this time around, coming with detail hugging grey and earth washes, orange swirled glass inset eyes, an internal, motion activated LED unit and authentic aged mummy bandages. Housed in a 9″ tall, gold leaf encrusted sarcophagus complete with a groaning and screaming sound unit, this signed and dated figure will be touching down in the artist’s store this coming Friday, April 22nd for an undisclosed sum…

Rampage Toys’ Superfestival 71 exclusive Skelehag and Big Foot…

Hot on the heals of yesterday’s Fig-Lab mini show at Rampage Studios (of which a few recap pics can be found at the bottom of this post), Rampage Toys‘ Jon Malmstedt has started to reveal the various exclusives he’ll have up for grabs at Superfestival 71 this weekend! First up, we have the Skelehag… The latest version of Rampage’s “Hag-X” collaboration with Skull Head Butt, the piece – inspired by MOTU’s Skeletor – appears to have been cast in a black soft vinyl this time around, coming with faithful purple/blue/yellow sprays and a matching “He-Man” settler omake…

Next up, we have the first official third party run of Awesome Toy‘s new Bigfoot sofubi. Standing at a monstrous 10″ tall, the elusive ape has been produced in a red soft vinyl with gorgeous metallic sprays and detailing from Rampage. Both going on sale alongside a ton of other soon-to-be-revealed exclusives this Sunday, April 24th, look out for more exclusive reveals on the Rampage IG feed throughout the week…

Gegephix x PLM’s “Gege Lumps” Languor Mania series…

Chanmen of Gegephix/Gargamel has teamed up with PLM for a special run of their daruma-style doll Languor Mania! Dubbed “Gege Lumps”, the mini series consists of 4 different takes on the ball-like figure from Chanmen; Gi-Oh’s Ray Prophecy (Red), Gi-Oh’s Spirit-Spell (blue), Gi-Oh’s Spirit and Electronic, and our favourite, the Gameboy-inspired Gi-Oh’s Spirit and Play. Going on sale via prerelease at BEAMS‘ Tokyo Culture To exhibition on Friday, April 22nd, we’ll be holding out for an online release through the PLM store soon…

Takepico’s “MT Green/Purple” Keronga at One-Up…

Takepico’s Keronga sofubi returns this weekend in an all-new “MT Green/Purple” colorway! Sculpted by Pico Pico and produced by One-Up, the mini-sized frog monster stands at around 3.3″ tall, featuring articulation in the neck. Produced in a pink soft vinyl and adorned with metallic green, purple and gold sprays with hand brushed detailing, the “MT Green/Purple” Keronga comes bagged and headed for 2,600yen ($23) plus shipping. Interested parties can find the little guy in the One-Up store alongside a whole host of other goodies at 9pm Japan time tonight…

Goccodo’s “Hulkster” Strong Smell Cyclops revealed…

The awesome Strong Smell Cyclops from Goccodo is set to return soon in an all-new colorway inspired by the one and only Hulk Hogan! Designed by Goccodo and sculpted by RESTORE‘s Abe Junnokai, this 9″ of wrasslin’ hot mess appears to have been cast in a brown soft vinyl this time, coming in a swathe of sprays inspired by Mr America’s signature yellow and red get-up. Whilst details of his release are still thin on the ground at present, we’ll be keeping our fingers and toes crossed that the big man sees some sort of overseas release soon…

Milk Boy Toys’ exclusive 4-Eyes NagNagNag…

In conjunction with their collaborative “Compound” show in Harajuku, Milk Boy Toys have teamed up with Shigeru Arai for the release of an exclusive NagNagNag run this weekend! Featuring the classic 4-Eyes Siamese head on the standard Nag body, the highly prized figure has been cast in a pink/red soft vinyl this time around, with paint app(s) to be revealed shortly. Going on sale at the Milk Boy store this Sunday, April 17th at 4pm Japan time for 85,000yen ($780), we’re told that one will be held back for an online lottery sale through Instagram soon after. Utilising the latest SoB tailed body, this 5.5″ tall figure comes complete with an all-new Wage UD-inspired head with a crazy oversized arm attachment. We at Softoy Hobby had an amazing time at ToyCon UK ’16 over the weekend, catching up with friends, selling toys, and most importantly, picking up a few gems for our own collection! Thankfully to all who couldn’t attend, we held back some select stock that we’ll be releasing online next week along with a few leftovers and a couple of soon-to-be-revealed surprises that didn’t make it to the event… So without further adieu, here’s a quick rundown of the slew of toys that’ll be available from our store starting Wednesday, April 20th at 9pm London time

  • Gory Hole’s Warui Zonbi: Series 1 “Ghost Edition”// Featuring both SS Wolfgang and Selwyn, these MaBa Zombies-inspired finger puppets have been cast in a GID soft vinyl complete with teal rub, violet sprays and silver detailing.   • Hand painted Strange Creatures keshi// A soft-debut for Radioactive Uppercut’s Strange Creatures of Atlas Island keshi, this first wave of casts have been hand rubbed, sprayed and brushed by Tru:Tek in a variety of styles and finishes.   • TMNFB one-off// Continuing the TMNT theme, Tru:Tek has customized yet another upcoming figure from Radioactive Uppercut in those classic greens and browns, the clawed kappa known as Freakboy! Sculpted by Tim Stephson based on RU’s original design, the little guy – standing at around 2.5″ tall – has been cast by Tru:Tek in a keshi-style rubber, coming with various sprays and detailing to mimic TMNT’s Raphael. Limited to just 1, TMNFB can be yours for just $35…
  • “Darkside of the Rainbow” Arch Mage// Continuing his collaborations with Science Patrol (of which we hear there’s more coming very soon!), Tru:Tek has set about working on a micro-run of their ever-popular Arch Mage sofubi. Cast in a flesh vinyl, the little guys have been treated to a plethora of metallic pink and purple sprays over a black rub. Limited to just 3 pieces, these have been priced at just $30 each…

Monster Worship has been hard at work on a special “Aqua Fresh” Slime Bat release in celebration of Super7 forum Skull Brain‘s 10th anniversary celebrations! Designed by Michael Skattum and produced by MW, the 6″ tall piece has been cast in a clear vinyl this time, coming complete with silver/clear green sprays with GID ball bearing inserts. Bob Conge aka Plaseebo has very kindly shared his latest custom creation, the “Night Gamer Masquerading as R2D2 on Tatooine”! A one of a kind vinyl custom standing 10″ high and 7″ wide, the unique-looking kaiju droid has been weathered with Monster Kolor sprays and drips to match life on the desert planet, coming complete with two switched external mounted color-changing LED units and one switched internal  color-changing LED unit that illuminates the entire body from within.
