Renewed Kreations is proud to present the arrival of his first ever soft vinyl toy, the Slime Skull! Originally released in resin last year, this new and improved design stands around 4″ tall (TBC), utilising a simple 2-part vinyl design. To be produced in Japan using a GID sofubi for this first release, a total of 20 preorder slots are currently up for grabs in the Renewed Kreations store. Priced at just $50 each, we’re told to expect shipping with 6-12 months…

Rampage Toys’ Medicom Toy exclusive Kesagake, Red King and Pigumon sofubi…

Rampage Toys are proud to reveal that they’ll have a trifecta of exclusives for release through Medicom Toy over the next few weeks! First up, we have the second Medi colorway for the ever popular Kesagake. Standing at around 10.5″ tall with articulation in the arms, waist and neck, the ferocious grizzly has been cast in a bright yellow soft vinyl with blue, gold and red sprays. Look out for him in the Medicom store right here on Sunday, April 24th, where he’ll be available for a month via preorder for 21,600yen ($199)…

Next, we have the latest Medicom exclusives from Rampage’s ongoing Ultra Kaiju series. Featuring new entries Red King and Pigumon, these officially Tsuburaya-licensed figures have also been cast in bright yellow, coming with a plethora of pastel cream, orange and blue sprays that match Kesagake. Going on sale via the Project 1/6 store starting May 8th for 8,640yen ($80), anyone outside of Japan is going to need to hit up a forwarding service to bag the pair..

Tru:Tek’s Ooze-faced Jinmenken…

Briefly featuring in our pictorial review of ToyCon UK yesterday, we thought we’d shine some light on the latest collaboration between our very own Tru:Tek and Awesome Toy… the Ooze-faced Jinmenken! A mash-up of AT’s Human-faced Jinmenken and the Disarticulators’ Oozeball, the 9″ tall figure has been cast in a yellow soft vinyl, coming with a mix of orange, brown and teal sprays with hand brushed detailing courtesy of Tru:Tek. Created as a one-off for the Softoy Hobby/STKL Toy booth, we’re told that interested parties won’t have to wait too long for a standard release… More news as soon as we have it!

Mr DLux’s Mimi Monster micro-run revealed…

Mr DLux is the latest artist to take on the hugely popular Mimi Monster for a special micro-run release! Designed and sculpted by Tan, the 6″ tall, 2-part slimy cyclops has been produced in a bright red vinyl this time around, coming with a slew of metallic grey, green and ivory sprays with meticulous hand brushed detailing. Going on sale in the D-Lux store at Midnight Eastern time this coming Friday, April 15th, pricing and edition size for these is still to be confirmed…

Grizlli Atom’s Madballs-inspired wrestler keshi revealed…

Joining the new wave of similarly themed patches that have just touched down in his store, Grizlli Atom is proud to reveal the first of a series of figures inspired by infamous wrestlers of the 80s and 90s! Whilst we have very little info to go on at present (even the name is still to be decided!), we can confirm that the piece has been directly inspired by James Groman’s cult classics the Madballs, featuring a two-sided head that resembles the one and only “Baby Bull”, Big Van Vader. Designed by Grizlli with the aid of CheapPopShop, sculpted by Macsorro and currently undergoing keshi-style production courtesy of our very own Tru:Tek, interested parties won’t have long to wait until they’ll be able to get there hands on these beauties… More news on the first release as soon as we have something confirmed!

Obsessed Panda’s “Neo” Mini Fake Baron sets…

Hot on the heals of Topheroy’s release just last week, Michael Devera over at Obsessed Panda is the latest artist to take on Awesome Toy‘s Mini Fake Baron set for a limited “Neo” painted release! Featuring all 4 miniature versions of the pachi super ‘bot – a pendant, finger puppet, chibi and standard mini – each has been produced in a white vinyl coming with a split red/blue paint app complete with stencil fade detailing. Limited to just 10 sets, these can currently be found in the Obsessed Panda store right here for $100 each plus shipping…

Medicom Toy’s “Jupirosu” and “Satan Ace Kenzan” Astro Mu 5 remakes…

Having already seen 2 releases since its comeback in October last year, the resurrection of Nakajima’s classic Astro-Mu 5 line continues this month with the arrival of yet another goodie/baddie combo… Jupirosu [Jupiter] and Satan Ace Kenzan [Saturn]! Near-identical to the original 10″ tall soft vinyl figures, the pair have been produced by Medicom in a classic trans yellow vinyl complete with authentic, vintage-style sprays and hand brushed detailing overseen by The Galaxy People. Packed with all the design features you’d expect from a fully-fledged Astro-Mu 5 remake, personal highlights for us include glitter pipe cleaner filled limbs, removable gloves and boots, back/chest button controlled “yes/no” head articulation, plus mountable pulleys for string aided flight. Touching down in the Medicom Toy store via open preorder starting Sunday, April 24th, Jupirosu and Satan Ace Kenzan will set you back just 15,984yen ($133) each plus shipping…

Debuting at ToyCon UK ’16 over the weekend, Mintyfresh‘s exclusive Byron and Rangeron from Koraters and T9G will finally be available online later today! Standing at around 5″ tall each, the adorable duo have been cast in a gorgeous clear green soft vinyl complete with inset black eyes. Going on sale in the Mintyfresh store right here at 10am Eastern time, pricing for the pair is still to be confirmed, although we’re guessing they’ll set you back somewhere similar to their original retail of £40 ($60)…

Shigeo Endo over at Bukimi Blasters is proud to announce the return of his mixed-part releases with a whopping total of 9 one-off figures that have just landed in his store! Featuring a selection of parts from both Evil Demon and Mole Man, each 6.5″ tall figure comes in a random assortment of colors complete with severed head omake. Designed by Skull Toys and produced by RealxHead, the skeletal mono-horned dino stands at around 7″ tall and features 5 points of articulation. Awesome Toy have teamed up with Izumonster of Blood Guts Toys for a special one-off Shikabane Kaiju dubbed the “Peanut Eater”! Inspired by peanut butter brand Planter’s iconic Mr Peanut mascot, the 9″ tall “Flesh Eater” Shikabane has been produced in what appears to be a black soft vinyl, replete with peanut shell yellow and brown sprays, black and white hand brushed detailing, plus the pièce de résistance- a custom made felt top hat! Hot on the heals of last month’s Ashuraman release, Japanese lifestyle brand Convict are proud to offer up another “Childhood” Kinnikuman exclusive to overseas customers this week, the “Clear Ver. Hey guys! I’d just like to give my regular readers a huge apology for the lack of coverage over the past few days. Unfortunately with ToyCon UK ’16 coming up and running this thing on my own, something had to give whilst I prepare the exclusives I’ll have up for grabs at my booth with the one and only Stkl Toy. I will be back with a full rundown of anything sofubi/keshi related from the event over the weekend, plus details of next week’s leftover sale, but in the meantime, I suggest keeping a close eye on my Instagram feed here (@trutek if you have the app) to stay abreast of the various exclusives (including the WZ set above!) Joining an all-new, soon-to-be-revealed resin mini, StickUp Monsters‘ Javier Jimenez has just revealed a pair of exclusives that he’ll have up for grabs at ToyCon UK ’16 this weekend! First up, we have the “Stray” Wananeko. Factory painted in various shades of brown, the 5.5″ tall soft vinyl figure comes packed with a ghost blaster weapon and header illustrated by the talented artist Pedro Delgado, aka Kid Kaos. Next, we have a very limited run of just 3 hand painted Wananeko’s, the “Outlaw” edition. Featuring his Ghost Blaster, a cloth poncho and a cowboy hat, this badass yokai cat is looking for some furniture to use for target practice! Touching down at booth #10-12 (Martian Toys) alongside the new resin mini we’ll be featuring later in the week, pricing for both “Stray” and “Outlaw” Wananekos is still to be confirmed…

Monkey 3000 over at Ummikko is proud to reveal that his Koningu sofubi will be making an appearance at ToyCon UK ’16 this weekend in a gorgeous “British Beetle” colorway! Standing at around 5.5″ tall and featuring articulation in the arms and waist, the vintage-style Kong figure has been produced in a green soft vinyl this time around, coming complete with stunning gold, red and metallic green sprays. Following our coverage of Ace Robo a couple of days back, Comet Debris‘ Koji Harmon treats us to 2 more exclusives he’ll have up for grabs at ToyCon UK ’16 this week! First up, we have the latest version of the ever-popular Kappa Shonen. Standing at around 6″ tall and featuring 3 points of articulation, the figure has been produced in a gorgeous green and GID marbled vinyl complete with masked purple, blue and lime sprays.
