Taken from Ultraman Ace episode 29, the hulking beast has been faithfully recreated by Max Toy Co at a sizeable 9.8″ tall, coming with articulation in the legs, arms, head and even the horns. Produced in a super-bright glow vinyl with vintage-style metallic blue, red and green sprays, One-Up’s exclusive version of Gitagitanga will be touching down in limited quantities right here this Saturday, March 12th at 11am Japan time for just 6,500yen ($58) plus shipping…

Up and coming artist Chen aka co.oc29 have very kindly revealed details of his debut sofubi, the jaw-dropping Gamarah yokai yu! Designed and sculpted by Chen, the hulking aquatic beast – inspired in-part by classic kaiju Gamera – stands at a super-chunky 7.5″ tall, coming complete with 5 points of articulation as well as a (still to be revealed) 2-part omake. Pictured here as a neon green test shot, we’re told to expect painted versions from fellow HK artist TAN in wasabi green and pink colorways soon… Stay tuned for word on the drop here first!

UnaffiliatedSJ‘s Kohai kaiju is set to make a comeback this week in its first official painted colorway! Said to be inspired by Godzilla’s son “Manilla”, the beautifully sculpted figure plays side kick to the artist’s previously released Creature-X, featuring an altogether more stout (and short) frame at around 6.5″ tall and coming with 8 fully articulated parts that can be swapped out with future releases. Produced in a dark blue rotocast resin with metallic teal/silver sprays and meticulous hand brushed detailing, the “First” Kohai will be touching down in the Unaffiliated store at 12pm Pacific time tomorrow (3/9) for just $60 plus shipping…

New Dissolution of Smoke: Vol. 2 sofubi from Algangu…

Lenny Cervello over at Algangu is proud to reveal that their Dissolution of Smoke: Vol. 2 will be seeing it’s long-awaited second painted release very soon! Featuring a total of 3 designs inspired by traditional yokai and 1970’s candy shop playing cards, the figures – a gourd holding monk, a castle and a cycloptic hat – stand a little shorter than the first release at around 2.5″-3″ each, coming complete with a finger puppet-style open base design. Produced in a gorgeous purple vinyl this time around, each mini comes packed with a variety of metallic blue, purple and pink sprays with hand brushed detailing. Following months of custom releases, one-offs and painted artist runs, the hugely popular Jinmenken sofubi from Awesome Toy is now finally up for grabs in its first official factory-painted release! Featuring both “Human” and “Skull” head designs, the super-creepy canines have been produced in a GID soft vinyl with simple red/blue sprays inspired by the classic “Nipper the Dog” sofubi toy. Seeing it’s last release as a Convict exclusive almost a year ago now, it came with great pleasure today to find that Geek Life‘s Mammoth sofubi has returned in an all-new “ZX Spectrum” colorway! The second figure in the officially licensed Sega Retro Game Sofubi Collection, the Yamada Masami sculpted figure – taken from cult 1985 shooter Space Harrier – stands at just under 10″, coming complete with articulation in all 4 legs and both tusks. Produced in a mix of brown and GID soft vinyl, the lumbering cycloptic beast has been treated to subtle brown and silver sprays that perfectly mimic the unique color palette seen in Space Harrier’s ZX Spectrum home conversion. Utilising the new SEFLApod vehicle, the awesome one-off creation features a resin cast head sculpted by Rampage’s Jon Malmstedt based on his full-size Kesagake sofubi. Having seen numerous artist runs over the past few months, Awesome Toy‘s Loch Ness Monster sofubi has finally been treated to it’s second official painted colorway! Inspired by easily the most obscure and hard to obtain figure from the iconic Stretch Armstrong line – the Stretch Serpent – the stunning 4″ tall figure features a number of design alterations that better suit the new medium, including a revised head sculpt plus a small curling tail similar to Leo Boya’s Guzo Kaiju. Produced in a slightly darker green than previous versions, the figure has been treated to a paint app that authentically replicates the look of the Stretch Serpent to a tee, coming with simple masked black, yellow and red sprays. Currently up for grabs through the Toy Underground store right here, the “2nd Edition” Nessy will set you back just $30 plus shipping…

Having seen a number of Japan-only releases since it’s debut back in early January, the Shinobu sofubi from Hong Kong’s Play Studio will finally see it’s first worldwide release this month as a Medicom Toy exclusive! A huge change in direction from their initial release, the “First Kaiju” – in terms of both style and scale – the lofty demon stands at just over 9″ tall, coming with articulation in the arms, neck and waist. Produced in black soft vinyl with metallic purple/silver sprays and red detailing, the Medicom exclusive Shinobu comes complete with a matching silver rope belt for just 10,000yen ($89). Interested parties will be glad to know the figure will be going on sale via open preorder right here starting Thursday, March 24th…

Radioactive Uppercut’s Strange Creatures of Atlas Island keshi revealed…

Previously teased way back in November of last year, the Strange Creatures from Radioactive Uppercut are finally making their way over to the UK for full-scale keshi production courtesy of our very own Tru:Tek! Whilst details on the project are still pretty thin on the ground at present, it would appear that these intestinal kaiju have been limited to 3 initial designs, each coming sculpted by Turtle Milk‘s David Arshawsky at around 2.5″-2.75″ tall each. Due for release in a whole slew of different colorways over the coming months, be sure to stay tuned for details of the first release very soon…
