Originally teased way back over a year ago now, the next monumental creation from elusive sofubi producer Utsugiyo is now finally up for grabs… the double headed dragon Dogura! One of the most breathtaking sculpts we’ve seen in a long time, the wonderfully odd looking creature stands at around 10.6″ tall, featuring articulation in it’s stubby arms and legs, weighty neck base and both heads. Produced in a Japanese soft vinyl and treated to an exquisite mix of red-yellow and green-metallic blue sprays, brushed detailing and hand threaded hair, Dogura comes packed with 2 chintamanis and 2 cork coasters. UnaffiliatedSJ‘s Kohai kaiju is set to make an unexpected comeback today in a special “Bruiser” colorway! Said to be inspired by Godzilla’s son “Manilla”, the beautifully sculpted figure plays side kick to the artist’s previously released Creature-X, featuring an altogether more stout (and short) frame at around 6.5″ tall and coming with 8 fully articulated parts that can be swapped out with future releases. Produced in what appears to be a red resin with black and silver sprays over a detail-hugging rub, the “Bruiser” Kohai will be touching down in the Unaffiliated store at some point later today for around $60 a piece (TBC). Japan-based sofubi producer Brian Bunting has revealed that he’ll have a limited supply of Galaxy People Lucky Bags up for grabs next week! Whilst the specifics are still to be confirmed, it would appear that each bag will feature a number of different figures from the Galaxy People universe, including both painted and blank Skreels, Drexyls, Traags, plus our personal favourite, the recently released Cephalopod vehicle. Going on sale in the Galaxy People store next Wednesday, February 17th at 11pm Japan time for an undisclosed sum, we suggest keeping an eye on the Galaxy People Instagram feed right here for the full lowdown on the bags later this week…

Teased right here just a few weeks back, the 1/6th scale Nadsat Boy sofubi from Kenth Toy Works is now up for grabs via preorder through Japanese lifestyle store Milk Boy! Originally released as a resin garage kit in April last year, this new, slightly altered soft vinyl version stands at a lofty 12″ tall, coming complete with fully detachable resin “maskie” mask, cain and display base. Available in 2 different hand painted colorways for this first release; a standard “White” and a more limited “Special Pink” (60pcs), both can currently be found in the Milk Boy store right here for just 16,200yen ($134) each plus shipping. Continuing their onslaught of both new and re-releases, the legendary Anraku Ansaku have teamed up with Medicom Toy for the release of a figure previously unseen in soft vinyl, the breathtaking Teruryu Doragorasu! Whilst we’ve had a few issues translating from our press source, from what we can gather the figure was originally prototyped way back in 2013, but due to several technical problems remained un-produced until now. Overcoming the various issues, Medicom have finally managed to successfully reproduce the piece and will be initially offering it up in 2 different colorways; “Blue”, with metallic purple and black detailing, and “Orange”, with yellow and black. Going on sale via open preorder through Medicom starting February 24th, Teruryu Doragorasu will set you back 16,200yen ($134) plus shipping…

Japanese artist Hariken over at Mad Panda Factory is proud to reveal that his アレの見守りソフビ人形 (literally translated as “Array of Watch”) soft vinyl doll has made a return in 2 all-new colorways! Standing at around 2.5″ tall and featuring articulation in the neck, the little fellow -designed by Hariken and sculpted by TTToy – has been produced in both “Egg White” and “Egg Yellow” sofubi, coming complete with alternate white/yellow and black sprays. Awesome Toy delve into the world of cryptozoology for not one, but two all-new figure releases this week! First up, we have AT’s take on the infamous Big Foot. Based on a vintage gorilla sofubi mini, the little guy has been upscaled to a huge 10″ tall, coming with articulation in the waist and arms. Cast in a black soft vinyl and treated to brown and silver sprays faithful to the original toy, this pre-release edition of Big Foot is currently up for grabs at just $120 shipped worldwide. Next up, we have the arrival of Gorgoloid‘s Fiji Mermaid in glorious soft vinyl! Based on the original sideshow oddity that was bought by an American Sea Captain from Japanese sailors in the early 1800’s, these “mermaids” were created by Asian fishermen who would stitch together taxidermy monkey and fish bodies to resemble the mythical beasts. Coming in at around 3.5″ long, Gorgoloid’s rendition has been slightly altered to fit the new medium, featuring a similar 2-part design with simplified arm and head detailing. Currently up for grabs in a choice of 4 unpainted colorways, the Fiji Mermaid can currently be found residing in the Toy Underground store right here for just $20 plus shipping…

Bob Conge aka Plaseebo is proud to reveal the third entry into the Arachnid Series, the rather aptly titled Skullo! Coming in at a monstrous 10″ wide, 6″ deep and 4″ high, the one of a kind custom mash-up features a clear vinyl Skulloctopus head on top of a hand cast resin body, coming complete with swirled glass eye inserts and an internal motion activated color-changing LED unit that illuminates glow-in-the-dark and gel brain parts from within. Offering up 4 different figures to work with; Neo Japan, Iron Meat and Pop Soda collaborations Jungle Fever Darts and Fog; all have been cast in either blank flesh or white soft vinyl with matching accessories where applicable.
