Mirock Toy’s new “Shakatchi” and “Cloud Cut Beauty Mirokumaru” sofubi…

Debuting alongside a whole host of other exclusives at Wonderfestival Winter 2016 over the weekend, we can now reveal the latest sofubi from Mirock Toy… “Shakatchi” and the “Cloud Cut Beauty” Mirockumaru! The first figure in Mirock’s all-new Buddha Squadron series, the statuesque leader Shakatchi stands at an impressive 10.2″ tall, coming complete with articulation in the arms, legs, neck and waste. “Cloud Cut Beauty” Mirockumaru, on the other hand, is the latest extension to the ever-growing world of Dr Mirock. Featuring a simple 2-part design that can be interchanged with a number of previous releases, the cloud racing Mirockumaru comes in at a mini-sized 3.5″ tall. Both cast up in an unpainted stone “Gandhara” colorway for their debut WF release, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for the first painted run online soon…

Rampage Toys’ Ultra Kaiju Series returns…

Debuting at Wonderfestival Winter 2016 earlier on today, the latest round of Rampage Ultra Kaiju will be receiving a limited online release next week! Featuring all 3 designs from the current line-up, the Rampage Toy-sculpted, Marmit-produced Pigumon has been cast in a Goji-blue, Jamira, a neon green and Aboras, a deep orange, each have been treated to a number of flat and metallic sprays with hand painted detailing. Going on sale via limited preorder in the Rampage store, the latest Ultra Kaiju will set you back around $40 each…

Tattoo artist Zach Taylor and Middle of Beyond‘s Ezra Haidet have just revealed that their new Violence Toy imprint will be returning today with a staggering total of 13 new custom creations! Featuring various figure combinations from their initial line-up of figures – the ET inspired “Asogian Assasin”, helmeted “Death Car Assasin”, infinity mouthed “Time-Gore” and our personal favourite, the “Trollborg” – each has been produced in a Japanese soft vinyl and treated to unique one-off sprays, rubs and hand painted detailing courtesy of Taylor. Going on sale in the Violence Toy store today (2/7) and Noon Pacific time, pricing for these is still to be confirmed…

KtoKto’s Monster Series 4// KtoKto‘s ever popular Monster Series is set to make a return at WF with it’s fourth run of figures! Taking on a more fantasy-inspired look than previous releases, the Neclos-esque set features a gargoyle (Semushiotoko), skeleton knight and hunchback, all coming in at around 3″ tall and featuring an uncapped, finger puppet-style design. Produced in a grey soft vinyl with gold, metallic purple and silver sprays for this first outing, Monster Series 4 will set you back just 5,500yen ($46) a set… But that’s not all! KtoKto will also have all 3 previous sets up for grabs in an all-new GID colorway. Treated to metallic purple, blue, gold and silver sprays, these will be up for grabs at 5,000yen ($41) each…

Sunguts’ Hyakki “Dunkleosteus” and more// Sofubi producer Sunguts will have a whole slew of new items up for grabs at WF, with highlights including the latest addition to the Hyakki Series, Dunkleosteus, for 2,700yen ($22), a GID Ver. Helicoprion, also priced at 2,700yen ($22), plus a GID Ver. Nekomata set for just 3,240yen ($27). Look out for all three of these and more at the Sangattsu Honpo booth (5-15-05) from 10am…

BLObPUS’ “Pink Glitter” Dokugan and more// BLObPUS has so far revealed a quartet of exclusive releases he’ll have up for grabs at WF come Sunday. Featuring the return of both classic BLObPUS DX and Dokugan figures in a gorgeous painted “Pink Glitter” colorway, plus a number of Awesome Toy Loch Ness Monster custom one-offs, these will be joined by an as-yet-unrevealed painted run of Sunguts’ large “Matsutake Mentor” on flesh vinyl. As usual, expect any leftovers to go on sale via lottery through the BLObPUS blog after the event…

Shikamark’s Oni Kamichi and Monster School Series// Shikamark‘s current sofubi line-up has been given the GID treatment for WF this time around! The unique looking, 2-part Oni Kamichi has been treated to a painted run in gold, silver, pink and red sprays for 3,800yen ($32), whilst the Monster School quartet will see a release in the pictured painted black/neon, a GID blank, plus a pink rub colorway, all for just 500yen ($4) per figure. Here’s hoping we see an overseas release for these fun little finger puppets soon!

Chimagroup’s WF exclusive Parabola, Uncle Bolo and more// Purveyors of cute Chimagroup will have a whopping total of 9 different exclusives up for grabs at WF this weekend! Featuring a swathe of figures both old and new, personal highlights include the adorable pet-coned Parabola, roly poly Naughty Monster Comic, plus all-new figure, Spence Cat. Blackdots’ “Weirdo Black” and “Wipe Hollow” Mr Death// Blackdots and Rockin’ Jelly Bean‘s first instalment  in the Freaky Monster Village Series, Mr death, will be up for grabs at WF in 2 new colorways. Designed and sculpted by RESTORE’s Abe Junnosuke, the hot rod culture-inspired figure comes in a blank “Weirdo Black” with clear cain accessory, and a painted “Wipe Hollow” in an off-white vinyl with blue rub and black detailing. Up for grabs at a con exclusive price of just 10,000yen ($83) each, the pair will be available at booth 5-03-09…

PPPudding’s Higeheru, Zeema and more// PPPudding will be gracing WF with a total of 4 exclusive mini releases! Joining personal favourite, the suited Higeheru, we have the return of the Neobaren Corps Down 3-pack, a special “GP” version of Chama from Gliderworks, plus the debut of all-new ‘bots Zeema 1 and Zeema 2. Going on sale at booth 7-07-04 (aside from Chama, who will be available from Gliderworks at 5-18-20), pricing for all 4 releases is still to be confirmed…

Play Studio’s “Blue Demon” Shinobu// Debuting and quickly selling out at Sufes70 a few weeks back, Play Studio‘s awesome Shinobu sofubi returns for WF in an exclusive “Blue Demon” colorway! A huge change in direction from their initial release, the First Kaiju – in terms of both style and scale – the lofty demon stands at just over 9″ tall, coming with articulation in the arms, neck and waist. Produced in what appears to be a white soft vinyl with blue, black and silver sprays with masked black tattoo detailing, the “Blue Demon” Shinobu comes complete with a red rope belt for just 10,000yen ($83). Look out for the figure at Angel Abby’s booth 5-30-03…

Newtervision’s WF exclusive SD Scopedog keshi…

With Wonderfestival Winter 2016 just a few days away now, keshi producer Newtervision has just unveiled the first exclusive figure he’ll have up for grabs at the event, a breathtaking “SD” Votoms Scopedog keshi! Officially licensed by Armored Trooper Votoms’ producer Sunrise, the beautifully realised mech has been sculpted in-scale with the vintage Marukoshi SD Gundam Deca figures at an oversized 2.5″-3″ tall. Cast in a selection of flesh and army green colored soft resin, the little guys come packed with a removable heavy machine gun and insert for just 3,000yen ($25) a piece. Those lucky enough to attend Wonderfestival this Sunday, February 7th can find the Votoms SD Scopedogs alongside a whole host of other exclusives at the Paralyzing Toyz booth (8-26-06)…

Koraters x T9G’s Medicom exclusive Rangeron…

With Byron having received a Medicom Toy exclusive last year, Koraters‘ adorable companion figure Rangeron steps up for a similar treatment later this month! A collaboration between Koraters’ Shoko Nakazawa and T9G, the 4.7″ tall figure – a mash-up of Byron and T9G’s Rangeas – is set to come in a white soft vinyl this time around, complete with orange, red, yellow and blue sprays with black inset eyes. Going on sale in the Medicom Toy store via open preorder starting Wednesday, February 24th, Rangeron will set you back just 4,860yen ($40) plus shipping…

Rotten Studio’s one-off Demon Shit resin figure…

As if the “Buttercream” Unchi wasn’t enough, we rather embarassingly bring you yet another turd monster for your delectation today, a custom Demon Shit from Rotten Studio! Originally debuting in unpainted form a couple of weeks back (check it here if you haven’t already), the painstakingly detailed figure stands at around 5″ tall, coming with magnetic articulation in the arms and neck. Cast in a yellow resin and treated to a variety of black, orange and metallic teal spot sprays, this particular version has been rounded off hand threaded hair and inset eyes. Currently up for grabs in the Rotten Studio store right here, the figure will set you back just $50 plus shipping…

Leeeeee Toy’s EARTHLY sofubi revealed…

Up and coming sofubi producers Leeeeee Toy have just unveiled images of their debut toy, the wonderfully strange EARTHLY! Whilst we have very little to go on at present aside from the pics you see here, it would appear that the fully articulated soft vinyl figure draws on a number of influences – primarily cult 80’s toys the Cabbage Patch Kids/GPK and Gloworms – coming with a number of cool design features including butterfly hands and interchangeable “Good” and “Bad” heads that can be removed to reveal a tiny Earth underneath. Standing at around 8″ tall and featuring 3 points of articulation, the loveable shit monster has been cast up in a baby blue vinyl with a plethora of vivid cream and pink sprays with hand brushed detailing. Aaron over at UhOh Toys has just announced a special “Jade New Year” run of Errants sofubi that’ll be making it’s way online soon! Consisting of all 3 2.5″ tall designs from the series; “Roku” the scientist owl, “Cutty” the cowboy bull and “Verge” the space faring lizard, the adorable 2 part figures have once again been produced in a milky soft vinyl, coming complete with subtle jade green sprays and hand crafted Buddha prayer beads. Unbox Industries x 2000AD’s Visible Man…

After almost 3 years in the making (we first caught sight of a proto way back at NYCC ’13!), the officially licensed Visible Man project from Unbox Industries will finally see it’s first release later this week! Based on 2000AD‘s fateful Frank Hart from early obscurity Visible Man, the series is set to feature a number of interpretations of the character, the first coming in the form of Skull Toys’ classic, 70’s styled design you see above. Essentially a toy within a toy, the 12″ tall figure features an internal hard vinyl body with a super-pliable “X-Ray” skin, both painstakingly produced using vintage toy-making techniques originally employed over 4 decades ago. Coming packed in a deluxe display box (prototype pictured), the absolutely breathtaking figure will be touching down in the Unbox Industries store this Saturday, February 6th for $225 plus shipping. We’ve been told that due to high production costs and failure rates, the figure will be extremely limited, so be sure to keep checking the store throughout the day to avid missing out!

Originally debuting back in October last year with the release of Ultra Earth and Devil Bado, the resurrection of Nakajima’s classic Astro-Mu 5 line continues this month with the arrival of yet another goodie/baddie combo… Gold Bina and Masuman! Near-identical to the original 10″ tall soft vinyl figures, the pair have been produced by Medicom in a classic trans yellow/turquoise vinyl complete with authentic, vintage-style sprays and hand brushed detailing overseen by The Galaxy People. Bob Conge aka Plaseebo comes with his latest one-off custom Gnaw-X, the “Abominable Snowman”! Standing at around 8″ tall and featuring 5 points of articulation, the Skull Head Butt/Rampage Toys produced figure has been cast up in a clear soft vinyl this time around, coming with layers of Monster Kolor sprays, red inset doll’s eyes, internal brain parts, plus an internal motion activated color-changing LED unit that illuminates his ice cold innards (including 2 glow-in-the-dark humans from a recent meal!). The Machine Soft Vinyl Series’ “Zollbots” from Longneck…

As if the reveal of Mecha Gorilla last week wasn’t enough, Yoda Masahico of Cosmo Knight Alpha/Longneck has just unveiled yet another figure in his new Machine Soft Vinyl Series, the awesome Zollbots! Featuring the same vintage ‘bot inspired body, the towering 12″ tall figure comes with an all-new head that resembles a mechanised version of Zollmen’s “Robin” Fancy Toy and “Garuban” Ape combined- although we’re not too sure if that was the intention! Painted up in an eye catching mix of metallic blue and red sprays over orangey-yellow vinyl, the first edition of Zollbots is currently up for grabs to Japanese customers through Yoda’s Instagram feed right here. Hopefully we’ll see an international release sometime soon!
