Zoomoth’s Bill Rizer “Ver.2” Contra keshi revealed…

With Wonderfestival Winter 2016 coming up in just a couple of weeks time, the guys over at Zoomoth have revealed the first 1 day license they’ve secured for the event, taking on Konami’s classic run-and-gun platformer Contra fit their third official release! Returning to one of the game’s lead protagonists Bill Rizer, the second version of the sub-totting commando has been given an Arnie-esque makeover (he previously resembled Rambo!), perfectly realised in Zoomoth’s oversized keshi scale at a super-detailed 2.5″ tall. Due to be produced in the now standard palette of flesh, red, green and blue, the rubber minis will be up for grabs at the Zoomoth Wonderfestival booth next month for around 3,000yen ($30) each… Look out for a reveal of Zoomoth’s second new licenses figure over the next few days!

Super7’s “Melted” Rose Vampire and “Bandaged Bruiser” Pocket Mummy Boy sofubi…

The guys over at Super7 are proud to announce the arrival of 2 new figures later on today! First up, we have the return of Josh Herbolsheimer’s Rose Vampire in a stunning “Melted” colorway. Standing at around 5″ tall and featuring articulation in the neck, the blood sucking horticulturalist has been produced in a marbled purple and GID soft vinyl with metallic silver sprays and green, yellow and red details… Next, we have Brian Flynn’s “Bandaged Bruiser” Pocket Mummy Boy. Cast in a marbled black and blue vinyl, the little mini has been treated to silver sprays with red detailing. Priced at $35 and $25 respectively, both Rose Vampire and Pocket MB will be available in the Super7 store from Noon Pacific time today (1/28)…

Gravy Toys’ “Trans Smoke” Suns of Brodarr sale…

Bwana Spoons over at Gravy Toys will be unleashing his Suns of Brodarr sofubi in a gorgeous “Trans Smoke” colorway later this week! Featuring nearly all of the 7+ line up, including Jeff, Lonny, Drizz, Kamisama by T9G, Quiller by Paul Kaiju, and Private Hooligan, each 5.5″ tall figure has been produced in an unpainted, glitter-infused clear black soft vinyl. Going on sale blind bagged (with certain figures such as Quiller a little rarer than others!) through the Gravy Toys store at 10am Pacific time this Friday, January 29th, expect to pay around $40-$50 each plus shipping…

Skull Head Butt’s Plant Monster sofubi…

Skull Head Butt turn to yet another classic B-movie for their latest figure, taking on one of the many mutants from 1974’s The Freakmaker! An unfortunate crossbreed of plant and human created by mad genetic scientist Dr Nolter, this particular monster plays a central role in the film, featuring a rather disturbing venus fly trap-esque chest that slowly devours/ingests its poor victims. Produced in a GID vinyl and treated to simple green, brown and red sprays, we’re presuming the roughly 9″ tall rendition will be making its at Wonderfestival Winter 2016 next month for around 8,000yen ($67)… Time to hit up a forwarding service for a chance at bagging one outside of Japan then!

New “Blind Bag” Rotten Raptors and “Kira Kira” Grody Quackers at Lulubell Toys…

On top of a ton of new Grody Shogun stock that’s just touched down in-store, the guys over at Lulubell Toys are proud to announce 2 very special releases they’ll have up for grabs later on today! First up, we have the return of James Groman‘s Rotten Raptor mini. Packed blind-bagged in a selection of red and red/mint marbled vinyl, these will be available with a maximum limit of 2 per customer for just $25 each.

Next, we have the comeback of yet another favourite, the Grody Quackers from Candie Bolton! Dubbed the “Kira Kira” edition, the release will once again feature bear, dog and elephant quackers, this time coming in a mix of blue, purple, green and black sprays over a silver base. Priced at just $30 each, these will be available in limited numbers alongside the Raptors come Noom Pacific time today…

The undisputed king and queen of creepy resin, Double Parlour, will be making a welcome return online this weekend with a whole slew of new work up for grabs! Whilst exact details are hard to pin down at present, it would appear that their Shopify store will be set to burst with new items, including one-off originals and resin multiples like the priest/plague doctors and “Forest Dwellers” you see above. Standing at around 5″ tall, the adorable duo have been cast up in a matching pink soft vinyl this time around, coming with an explosion of classic Hawaii-style yellow, red, metallic real and purple sprays. KaijumonsteR’s Euro Con exclusive Jinmenken and Goukai Zaular from KK…

As promised in our look at the one-off Dorols and Madalas a few weeks back (check them here if you haven’t already), KaijumonsteR has revealed 2 more exclusives he’ll be bringing along to the european toy cons this year… the elusive Goukai Zaular and Jinmenken set from KK! Standing at a humungous 14″ tall and featuring 4 points of articulation, the part super-bot, part kaiju known as Zoular has been produced in a blue GID vinyl for it’s third outing, coming with loose, vintage-style sprays in metallic blue, red, silver and gold…

The Jinmenken set, on the other hand, has been produced in a classic green GID vinyl. Featuring both male and female variants, the 7″ tall figures have been treated to metallic blue sprays with contrasting pearl purple and brown… Going on sale at Dutch Comic Con 2016 (3/26-3/27) and then ToyCon UK soon after (4/9), pricing and edition sizes are still to be confirmed…

It’s been a few years since the debut of his last 100% new figure “Yusei Maijin”, so it came with great pleasure today to find that Yoda Masahico of Cosmo Knight Alpha/Longneck has been hard at work on yet another bonafide sofubi classic… the jaw-dropping Megagorilla! Based on the (as-yet-unverified) vintage mecha gorilla mini pictured above, the towering beast stands at an impressive 12″ tall, coming complete with 5 points of articulation. Currently available to Japanese customers via Instagram in an authentic “OG” paint app of blue, silver and brown over red vinyl, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for an overseas Megagorilla release over the next couple of months…

The one-off “Atomic Nosferatu” Night Gamer sofubi from Plaseebo…

Bob Conge aka Plaseebo comes with his latest one-off custom, the glorious “Atomic Nosferatu” Night Gamer! A one of a kind mash-up of Plaseebo’s Night Gamer head, the lower half of Guumon’s Diagomi and a pair of resin cast arms, the 10″ tall monstrosity comes fitted with red glass inset eyes and an internal motion activated, color-changing LED unit with replaceable batteries. Signed and dated by the artist, the “Atomic Nosferatu” Night Gamer will be touching down in the Plaseebo store for an undisclosed sum this coming Friday, January 29th…

Whilst we have very little info with regards to what will be featuring at present, you can guarantee that alongside the special “Totoro” inspired Kessagake run you see above, Jon will be bringing along a whole host of one-off customs, painted runs and gacha fodder from his extensive line-up of self produced sofubi. Better Days Toys‘ Julio Sanchez Roldan is proud to reveal that his “Unhappy Wife” resin figure will be returning today in an all-new “Bronze” colorway! The first figure in the ongoing “Mad World Series”, the super-creepy housewife has been hand sculpted, cast and painted by Roldan, standing at around 3″ tall, featuring 4 points of articulation and coming complete with a porcelain doll-style mask (Rotten Love version shown for illustration purposes) that can be removed to reveal a horrific They Live-inspired face underneath. Mutant Vinyl Hardcore’s new “parasitic worm” figure announced…

Continuing his seemingly endless onslaught of new figures into 2016, Rich Montanari Jr over at Mutant Vinyl Hardcore has just unveiled what could possibly be his most disturbing sculpt to date… a parasitic worm “pet” for Zug the Troll! As the eagle-eyed amongst you may be aware, the super-gross cycloptic head sculpt you see above was actually meant to be part of a collaboration with IzuMonster, but due to ongoing scheduling issues has since been given a rather unique worm-like body with gorgeous rough texturing inspired by old school kaiju. Currently in the early stages of development at present, we’ll be waiting with baited breath for further updates on the as-yet-untitled figure soon…

Electric Monarchy’s “Bukkake” keshi sculpt revealed…

Teased in a work-in-progress state just a couple of weeks back, we’re very proud to exclusively reveal Electric Monarchy‘s “Bukkake” keshi sculpt in-full today! Taking its name from a sex act we’ll once again refrain from describing here, the gloopy, gross-out mini figure has been sculpted by Macsorro based on a design from EL’s Fint and Ralph Niese, coming in just over 2″ tall and the same wide. Currently winging its way over to our very own Tru:Tek for production in a keshi-style rubber, interested parties can expect word on Bukkake’s debut over the next few weeks…

Panpanya x Mandarake’s “Red” Carp-kun sofubi…

Originally debuting early last year, the unique looking “Carp-kun” sofubi from Panpanya has returned in an all-new “Red” colorway! Standing at just under 10″ tall and featuring 3 points of articulation, the stunning koi kaiju has been treated to a painstaking hand brushed paint app in red, blue and yellow over white vinyl. Limited to a run of just 40 pieces, “Red” Carp-kun is currently up for grabs through Mandarake via lottery sale for just 6,500yen ($56) plus shipping.
