Kenth Toy Works’ 1/6th Nadsat Boy sofubi…

Originally debuting in resin garage kit form way back in April 2015, the 1/6th scale “Nadsat Boy” from Kenth Toy Works has proven so popular that it’ll be making a second appearance in sofubi soon! Pictured here in a glorious unpainted white vinyl, the beautifully sculpted homage to Kubrick’s cult flick “A Clockwork Orange” stands at a lofty 12″ tall, coming with 4 points of articulation plus a removable resin cain. Whilst release details are still scarce at present, our money’s on the figure seeing its first release at Wonderfestival Winter 2016 early next month… Stay tuned for more news as we get it!

Ultimate Skull & Cobra’s “Skullgasm” sofubi prototype revealed…

Tim Stephson over at Ultimate Skull & Cobra is proud to reveal that his signature Skullgasm figure will be making the leap into soft vinyl soon! Pictured here in finished prototype form – cast in the original Hasbro wax mix, no less – the sculpt has seen a number of refinements over the original resin version, including more realistic detailing, the loss of the wrap around tongue, and the inclusion of a standard-sized neck joint for future bodies/collaborations. Currently winging its way over to Japan for production as we speak, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for the first Skullgasm sofubi release around summer time…

The “Cosmic Radiation” Phantom T3-x resin figure from Dark Matter Toys…

Tattooist-come-toy designer Manny Daggers of Dark Matter Toys has just unveiled the latest version of his Phantom T3-x resin figure, the “Cosmic Radiation” edition! Designed/sculpted by Manny and produced by UhOh Toys, the gunslinging space cowboy stands at around 4.5″ tall, coming complete with peg articulation in the arms. Cast in a pink glitter-infused GID blue resin and treated to metallic blue sprays with silver and black detailing, the limited run of just 5 figures come in at $45 each plus shipping. Look out for them in the Dark Matter store next Thursday, January 28th at 12pm Pacific, and be sure to stay tuned for news of special artist-painted runs soon!

Kuidaore’s “Ooze” keshi revealed in-full…

Originally teased in clay prototype form just a few weeks back, we can now reveal the latest keshi from Kuidaore Toy in-full! Heavily inspired by the classic 70’s Ooze-It doll (a regular feature here on Softoy Hobby!), the little guy appears to be in-scale with Kuidaore’s previously released Mr Rucksack at little over 2″ tall. Pictured here in a flesh-tone soft resin alongside a matching Bikkuriman-style sticker from Kuchyubin, we’ll be expecting an online release for the figure through the Kuidaore Instagram feed soon…

The “My Pet Basket Case” resin figure from Worthy Enemies…

Having graced countless indie toy releases with his unmistakable art over the past couple of years, we were very pleased to see that Gabe Hernandez aka Worthy Enemies has finally set about creating his own figure… taking on the one and only ball of flesh known as “Belial” from cult horror flick, Basket Case! Beautifully sculpted by Gabe in a style very similar to his artwork, Duane Bradley’s twisted twin has been cast up by none other than Tim Stephson in a tan colored resin, coming with minimal hand painted detailing on the face. Limited to an edition of just 31 figures – each coming packed with a signedheader and bio card from Gabe – Belial will be touching down in the Worthy Enemies store this Saturday, January 23rd at Noon for $30 plus shipping…

LRG’s Rise of the Beasts “Series 2” Kickstarter…

Spurred on by the success of both Rhino and Scorpion’s numerous releases since their debut back in November 2014, Jon Karris and Glen White over at Little Rubber Guys are proud to announce the return of their mini action figure line Rise of the Beasts for a second series! Tripling the initial line-up with 4 new characters; the original Lion/Asayid and Gorilla/Guwrah (previously scheduled for series 1), a modified version of the Horned Lizard/Khabasat, plus the all-new, wickedly cool, Ant!

Standing at around 2.25″ and featuring 4-5 points of articulation each (a huge feat for such a small scale!), each Glyos-compatible figure is due to be produced at the legendary Onell factory in China, coming in a similar rubbery-but-firm PVC seen in the likes of Glyos and OMFG. Currently available through a new Kickstarter campaign right here, a huge variety of different purchasing options are up for grabs, ranging from single, blank figures plus a weapon for $5, painted figures for $8, weapons packs, also for $8, and GID 2 packs for just $11… Go check them out right here before the campaign closes in few weeks time!

Shoko Nakazawa’s latest overseas sale…

Japanese artist Shoko Nakazawa of Koraters has just revealed a handful of new figures that’ll finally be available for overseas sales later on today! Featuring the T9G collaboration “Rangeron” in its debut “Clear” colorway as well as the recently released “New Year” Byron, these are joined by the pair in the blue glitter-infused vinyl first seen at Design Fiesta back in November of last year. Going on sale in the Koraters store in just a few hours time (11pm Japan), pricing for all 4 figures is still to be confirmed…

Gorgoloid x Awesome Toy’s “Fiji Mermaid” announced…

Originally seeing a couple of limited releases in resin last year, Gorgoloid‘s super-creepy Fiji Mermaid is set to make a return in sofubi courtesy of Awesome Toy soon! Based on the original sideshow oddity that was bought by an American Sea Captain from Japanese sailors in the early 1800’s, these “mermaids” were created by Asian fishermen who would stitch together taxidermy monkey and fish bodies to resemble the mythical beasts. Coming in at around 3.5″ long, Gorgoloid’s rendition has been slightly altered to fit the new medium, featuring a similar 2-part design with simplified arm and head detailing. Due to become Awesome Toy’s first new figure release of 2016, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for the full lowdown on the Fiji Mermaid’s debut very soon…

The Splurrt “Mimi Monster” micro-run…

Briefly mentioned during our Cadaver Kid 5th Anniversary post earlier in the week, we can now reveal release details for the Mimi Monster micro-run from Splurrt! Designed and sculpted by Tan, the 6″ tall, 2-part slimy cyclops has been produced in a bright yellow vinyl this time around, coming with a slew of metallic blue, green and red sprays with meticulous hand brushed detailing. Limited to just a handful of figures, the Splurrt Mimi Monsters will be touching down alongside the Cadaver Kids right here today (1/21) at 5pm Eastern for around $125 each plus shipping…

It’s been nearly a year since we first set eyes on the “Koblin” resin kaiju from Acolorfulmonster, so it came with great pleasure this morning to  find that the figure has finally returned in the form of 2 one-off colorways! Inspired by mythical Japanese beast the Kappa, the beautifully sculpted, multi-mouthed piece stands at around 5.5″ tall, coming with a single point of “peg” articulation in the neck. With 2 different buying options available; “Blue Frost”, coming in a marbled white and blue resin, plus “Blood Drop”, in a marbleded white and red, both can currently be found residing in the Acolorfulmonster store right here priced at just $70 each plus shipping…

Plaseebo’s “X-Ray Skulloctoyouzha” one-off YouZha custom…

Bob Conge aka Plaseebo is proud to present the third in a series of one-off customs based on Kearjun’s ever-popular YouZha vinyl figure, the mighty “X-Ray Skulloctoyouzha”! Mashing up the 8″ tall zombie with a clear-cast Plaseebo Skulloctopus head, the jaw-dropping piece has been filled with colored gels and GID brain parts that are illuminated by a motion activated LED unit, coming complete with a resin cast severed head (that we’re told is for snacking!). Signed and dated by the artist, the X-Ray Skulloctoyouzha will be touching down in the Plaseebo webstore this coming Saturday, January 23rd for an undisclosed sum…

Oriha Kat’s “Pizza Face” Killer Ball…

Japan-based toy artist Oriha Kat  has just revealed a follow-up to his first Killer Ball release “Da Ma Fukuwarain”, proudly presenting the super-gross “Pizza Face”! Once again inspired by cult 80’s toy line Madballs, the suitably “loose” looking sculpt measures in at an authentic 3″ wide (around the same size as a softball), coming hand cast in a squishy latex rubber and treated to a bootleg-style paint app in acrylics. Coming housed in an ingenious package inspired by Domino’s take out pizza boxes, we’re told to expect Pizza Face’s first release in these at Wonderfestival Winter 2016 early next month… But that’s not all! Joining the full-sized release, Kat will also be unleashing both “Da Ma Fukuwarain” and “Pizza Face” in mini keshi-form. Around half the size of the standard balls, these reduced versions have been produced in a bouncy rubber, coming both painted and blank in a variety of neon colorways. Here’s hoping Kat will finally start offering these amazing figures up to western customers soon!

The “Bright Green” Mini Uamou and Boo…

With the recent “Bright Yellow” release proving a huge success (sorry guys, that one slipped under our radar!), the team over at Uamou have wasted no time in preparing yet another new “Mini” Uamou colorway, proudly presenting the gorgeous “Bright Green”! Featuring both Uamou and Boo in 1:2 scale (approx 1.5″ and 0.5″ each), the minuscule pair have been produced in a vivid green soft vinyl with minimal black brushed accents. Going on sale through the Uamou store for a limited time this week, expect Uamou and Boo to come in at around 900yen and 300yen respectively…

Dehara Yukinori’s first 2016 online release…

Japanese artist Dehara Yukinori has just loaded his online store with a whole host of new goodies for the new year! Featuring a limited supply of the DCon exclusive “Aitsu” Jingi from Punk Drunkers, the lanky, blade wielding yakuza is joined by a number of standard Dehara figures in all-new colorways, including Ishida Yutaka, InuFutoshi and Cat Aunt. Priced between just 5,500yen and 8,800yen a piece, all can currently be found in limited quantities on the Dehara store right here… *SOLD OUT*

Splurrt’s new “Cadaver Kid” and “Mimi Monster” painted runs revealed…

Looking to the future yesterday with the reveal of his latest figure “Kronos”, Splurrt now delves into his past with the announcement of an all-new classic Cadaver Kid painted run to celebrate the little critter’s 5th anniversary! Standing at around 4.5″ tall and coming with articulation in the arms and neck, the adorable mass of rotting flesh, chunky stitches and teeth has been produced in a light blue soft vinyl, coming with an array of mint green, purple, gold and white sprays. Going on sale online alongside a Splurrt run of Tan‘s Mimi Monster (pictured), expect both to make an appearance at some point later this week… But that’s not all! Splurrt has revealed that he has a number of other projects planned for CK’s anniversary celebrations, including marbled runs from none other than Grody Shogun- stay tuned for news on those soon!

It’s been a while since we last featured the work of toy customiser Topheroy, so it came with great pleasure today to find an incredible new piece in his store that we just had to share with you guys… the “Tie-Dye” Hidebehind! Purple Toy’s “Death Melon” soft vinyl figure…

Originally unveiled back in November of last year, it would appear that the newly titled “Death Melon” from Purple Toys will finally be seeing the light of day soon! Pictured here in a variety of different colorways, the huge Unbox-produced figure (approx 9″ tall) has been inspired by a number of cult 80’s staples as far ranging as Madballs and Nightmare on Elm Street, coming with a beautifully organic textured surface that’s juxtaposed with a industrial looking control tower on top.
