Yet more from Awesome Toy‘s ever-popular Jinmenken sofubi this week, as the guys proudly present a Superfestival 70 exclusive painted run from none other than BLObPUS! Featuring both “Human” and “Skull” head designs this time around, the 8″ tall figures have been produced in a glow-in-the-dark soft vinyl this time around, coming with BLObPUS’ signature neon and metallic sprays with black hand-threaded hair. Going on sale alongside a whole host of other exclusives at BLObPUS’ Sufes70 booth this Sunday, January 10th, here’s hoping a few will be held back for online lottery sales soon after…

The “Second Edition” Woebegone sofubi from Psycho Scimitar…

Last seen way back in August last year, the “Woebegone Mamilla” sofubi from Psycho Scimitar is set to make a welcome return next week in its second unpainted colorway! Designed and sculpted by PS’s Alex Gavryushenko, the “miserable nipple” stands at 8″ tall and around 6″ wide, featuring articulation in the neck as well as 2 different eyeballs and a tongue that can be stuck into the eye-sockets. Once again produced in a contrasting mix of magenta and blue soft vinyl (this time with blue bodies), the figure has been limited to a run of just 15 pieces priced at $75 each plus shipping. Look out for them in the Psycho Scimitar store this coming Monday, January 11th at 8pm Eastern time…

Algangu at Superfestival 70…

Sofubi producer Algangu has just revealed a trifecta of releases he’ll be bringing along to Superfestival 70 this weekend! Featuring his latest release, the 70’s inspired Science Boy Co “Robogu” and “Roboga” bots in their OG clear/red colorways, the pair have been joined by Hideyuki Katsuma’s “Hanatuah” in an unpainted blue soft vinyl, as well as the third edition of Teddy Maker x Magical Design’s “Tibe”, coming in an unpainted green vinyl. Going on sale at the “Bad News Rad Uncles” booth (B1-4), online sales should hopefully follow soon after…

Awesome Toy’s “Alien Dog” Skull Jinmenken…

Awesome Toy are proud to present the latest rendition of their ever-popular Jinmenken sofubi, the “Alien Dog” edition! Featuring just the “Skull” head design this time around, the 8″ tall, 2-part homage to one of Japan’s creepiest urban legends has been produced in a muted blue soft vinyl this time around, coming with hand threaded hair, hand painted dolls eye inserts, plus red, ivory and black sprays inspired by John Carpenter’s cult flick “They Live”. Limited to just a hand full of figures, the “Alien Dog” Jinmenken are currently up for grabs via 24 hour lottery, priced at $120 each plus shipping. The “Lucky Monkey” Monkey King from T9G…

T9G is celebrating the year of the monkey with a very special release, the “Lucky Monkey” Monkey King sofubi! Marking a welcome return for the adorable little primate, the 5″ tall piece will be making an appearance in 2 different colorways; a Superfestival 70 exclusive version, coming in a gold glitter-infused vinyl with gold/flesh sprays and red neck tie, and a presale version, also in gold glitter, but with silver/flesh sprays and a blue/white tie. Going on sale to Japanese customers this weekend through Sufes70 and the T9G store respectively for just 5,500yen ($46) each, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that a few will filter through to the regular T9G retailers soon…

Rampage Toys at Superfestival 70…

Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has just unveiled a whole slew of figures he’ll have up for grabs at Superfestival 70 this weekend! Featuring a bewildering amount of customs, painted runs and blank minis, highlights include both Rampage’s Kesagake and MVH’s Zug the Troll in Garamon-homage colorways, a number of Kesagake’s Revenge one-offs, plus a run of the latest Cyclops Dinos in a gorgeous painted purple vinyl. Up for grabs at Rampage/Galaxy People booth (B10-11) this coming Sunday, January 10th, we’ll assume any leftovers will make it into the Rampage Toys store soon after…

Play Studio’s “Red Oni” Shinobu sofubi…

Chak over at Hong Kong-based sofubi house Play Studio has very kindly shared an image of their latest figure ahead of it’s debut at Superfestival 70 this weekend, the awesome “Red Oni” Shinobu! A huge change in direction from their initial release, the “First Kaiju” – in terms of both style and scale – the lofty demon stands at just over 9″ tall, coming with articulation in the arms, neck and waist. Produced in what appears to be a white soft vinyl with red, gold and silver sprays with masked black tattoo detailing, this first run of Shinobu comes complete with a gold rope belt for just 9,720yen ($82). Up for grabs at Play Studio’s Sufes70 booth (C 4-5) this coming Sunday, January 10th, here’s hoping an online release follows soon after…

Electric Monarchy’s “Bukkake” keshi figure teased…

Having already previewed “King Stereo” earlier in the week, the guys behind up and coming toy brand Electric Monarchy – artists Fint and Ralph Niese – have just unveiled concept images for yet another new figure they’ll have up for grabs later this year, the wonderfully disgusting “Bukkake” keshi! Taking its name from a sex act we’ll refrain from describing here, the gloopy, gross-out mini figure is currently being sculpted by Macsorro, with production in a keshi-style soft resin from our very own Tru:Tek coming soon… Keep track of the new EM Instagram feed here for a full reveal of the sculpt over the next few weeks!

 

The “Phantom Blue” Pharaoh and “Camo” Mini 13 sofubi from Rumble Monsters…

Rumble Monsters are proud to announce their first sale of 2016, bringing with them not one, but two new releases for their horde of dedicated fans out there! First up, we have the return of the classic RMS figure “Pharaoh” in an all-new “Phantom Blue” colorway. Standing at around 7″ tall and featuring 3 points of articulation, the tusked beast has been produced in a clear blue soft vinyl with simple silver, yellow, red and black sprays. Next, we have a new “Camo” version of our personal favourite, the Mini 13. Standing at little under 4″ tall and coming with just 1 point of articulation, the little guy has been cast in a yellow/tan vinyl with camo-esque brown and black sprays. Currently available to Japanese customers through the RMS store for just 6,400yen ($54) and 2,200yen ($18) respectively, overseas customers are going to need to hit up a forwarding service to bag the duo…

The Gomlins keshi revealed in-full…

Teased here just a few days back, we can now reveal all 3 Gomlins keshi in-full! A joint venture between NerdoneMee Mie and newcomer Proposal 48 (TBC), the release features a different mini figure from each artist – “Steregon”, “Lemonjah” and the newly revealed “Crablow” respectively – each coming cast in a thermal color-changing blue-to-white rubber and housed in a Boglins-themed window box. Touching down at the “Bad News Rad Uncle” Superfestival 70 booth this coming Sunday, January 10th, we’ll be keeping our fingers and toes crossed for a general release soon after…

Originally releasing at ToySoul HK as part of Ultraman’s ongoing 50th Anniversary celebrations late last year, Playtoy’s special “Blue Glow” rendition of the classic Tsuburaya tokusatsu character has just been made available online through the figure’s producer, Unbox Industries! Inspired by Bullmark’s classic chunky aesthetic, the stunning figure has been 3D sculpted by Unbox’s digital team, standing at just under 10″ of rotocast, glow-in-the-dark soft vinyl and coming with a removable mask, beta capsule accessory and deluxe packaging to boot. Originally debuting to huge fanfare at DCon ’15 back in November of last year, the “Fumetsu” sofubi from Cop A Squat Toys will be making its online debut today courtesy of Gravy Toys! Heavily inspired by vintage toys such as Astro-Mu 5, the line features  a total of 4 “trans-human” characters spread across 2 sets; Erewhon/Vinge in Set A (top) and Neuman/Kurzweil in Set B (bottom); each coming with an ingenious removable torso that reveals a fifth “super computer” character named Allesh that is said to control the four figures from within. Limited to just a handful of sets in an all-new GID painted colorway, both Fumetsu Set A and B will be up for grabs in the Gravy Toys store today at 11am Pacific for $150 each…

Having only seen a limited release since it’s debut back in August of last year, we’re very happy to reveal that Bad Attic Toys‘ debut sofubi – 2-Faced Todd – will be making a return at Superfestival 70 this weekend! The first to feature in the ongoing Madball-inspired “Trouballz” line, the gruesome figure comes in at an authentically scaled 3″ wide, featuring a two faced, gross-out design complete with a rather clever cranium cap joint. Produced in a thick, squishy soft vinyl that mimics the knock-off rubber Madballs of the late 1980’s, Todd will be available in 3 different colorways this time around; the “OG” purple, plus a vintage-style green and blue, each coming with both painted or blank buying options.
