Dan Willet over at Unbox Industries has revealed that he’ll be teaming up with Daniel Yu to bring the highly talented artist’s “Jiangshi Acolyte” (Hopping Vampire) figure to vinyl! Having seen numerous releases in resin over the past year as a 3″ tall mini, it would appear from the above image of the hand that this new version will in fact be a whole lot larger- our stab in the dark being around the 8″ mark. With little else to go on at present aside from this beautifully sculpted hand, we’re going to have to wait a while longer until we find out the exact nature of the release… Hopefully not for too long though!

Barry Allen Williams aka Gorgoloid has just unveiled the latest figure he’ll have up for grabs in his webstore soon, the stunning Garamon/Pigumon Daruma! An ingenious mix of Ultra Q kaiju and a lucky Dharma doll, the stunning piece – inspired by the traditional Japanese toy paintings of Kyosen Kawasaki – has been hand sculpted by the artist at around 4″ tall, coming cast in a super-glossy red resin for it’s first release. Due to touch down in the Gorgoloid store at some point over the next couple of weeks, be sure to stay tuned for full-release details soon…

Teased in prototype form throughout the past few months, the monumental “Dualbat” sofubi from Paul Kaiju has finally been revealed in vinyl! A two-headed rendition of the artist’s signature Mockbat design, the humungous beast stands at around 15″ tall from tip to toe – Paul’s biggest figure to date at nearly double the height of the original sculpt! Pictured here as a flesh-tone test shot, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for the first painted release early next year…

Japanese Star Wars fan site and retailer Star Case have just revealed that their signature “Dester Commando” sofubi is set to return this month in an all-new “Graffiti Blue” colorway! Taken from ongoing knock-off Star Wars line “Star Convoy”, the 6″ tall Stormtrooper-inspired sofubi has been treated to red, black, green and yellow hand brushed detailing on blue vinyl, coming complete with a hand cut paper belt. Coming packed with 2 additional heads plus a matching print card, the “Graffiti Blue” Dester Commando will be touching down in the Star Case store next Saturday, December 19th for around 7,000yen ($57) plus shipping…

Taiwan-based toy artist ShonSide has just teased a forthcoming collaborative release with none other than Goccodo! Whilst we have very little information to go on at present, the above sillouhette would suggest that we’ll be treated to a mash-up of Goccodo’s Astro Unkotsu sofubi at Shon’s resin Cat Rider- although only time will tell! Look out for the full lowdown on this promising pair-up very soon…

The team over at GRUP Design are proud to reveal that their debut sofubi – “Rimey” from The Midnight Parade – is making a welcome return this week! Standing at around 4″ tall and featuring 2 points of articulation, the Kenth Toy Works sculpted figure has been treated to 2 all-new colorways this time around; “Pop Dream”, coming in a clear vinyl filled with multi-colored ballbearings and “Ayame”, cast in white vinyl and treated to subtle metallic purple and silver sprays. Priced at just 6,800yen ($56) and 4,000yen ($33) respectively, the pair are currently being offered up via the usual e-mail lottery system. The “Robo Top” resin spinning top from Inami Toyland‘s Kevin Nam returns by popular demand for a special “Cloudfall” release just in time for the holidays! Coming in at around 2″ tall by 2″ wide, the fully working, hand sculpted spinning top features an ingenious “rock, paper, scissors” style mechanic, with each of the robot’s hands (clenched, 2 fingers up and 3 fingers up) representing the game’s 3 choices. Produced by Kevin in 2 different sunset-inspired colorways for this release, a marbled pearl “white/purple” and “white/blue”, both have once again been limited to an edition of just 10 pieces each. Coming poly-bagged with an admission ticket-style header card, the latest round of Robo Tops will be touching down in the new Inami Toyland store, on Thursday, December 10th at 9pm Eastern time for just $15 each plus shipping. Legendary toy artist Touma has just revealed that he’s been working on an officially licensed Astro Boy sofubi for the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Festival next week! Featuring the iconic android’s signature winged hair and chunky boots, the little guy has been redesigned and sculpted in Touma’s unmistakable style, coming with those elongated arms and smooth curves as standard. Pictured here as a finished clay prototype, we’re told that the final article will be up for grabs at the Tokyo-based event starting Thursday, December 17th… Here’s hoping the official license doesn’t prevent an overseas release soon!

Having quickly built a name for himself with his hugely popular “Kaibutsu Series” finger puppets, artist KtoKto has taken a brief break from horror toys for his latest release, proudly presenting the stunning, as-yet-untitled sculpts you see above! Whilst solid information on the project is still forthcoming, it would appear that the fantasy-based figures have taken a leaf from both Neclos Fortress and Capcom’s Ghosts ‘n Goblins in terms of aesthetic, with both undead knight and gargoyle still retaining the same one-part, open bottom design of Kaibutsu. Pictured here as finished clay prototypes, we’ll be keeping our fingers that the pair make their debut in soft vinyl early next year…

Rounding off an extremely busy 2015 in style, Singapore-based artist Daniel Yu has just revealed that all of the sculpts he’s created this year will be making an appearance as part of a HUGE end of year sale today! Featuring everything from Lil’ Jefe, the Space Creep, Porkins and our personal favourite, the Jiangshi Acolyte, each figure is available in a number of different painted and blank colorways ranging from $20-$80 in price, with a full unpainted set of 7 in “Shadow” black for $150… Look out for them all in the Daniel Yu store at 10am Eastern (12/8)!

In an unexpected shock reveal, Paul Kaiju has just announced that he’ll be teaming up with Jeff Lamm and Unbox Industries for a new “infected” version of their ever-popular Space Mining Division 5 vinyl figure! Whilst the above pic is all we have to go on at present, it would appear that the 10″ figure will remain largely the same as previous releases, albeit with a clear helmet dome and an all new creature designed by Kaiju lurking at the controls… Stay tuned for more news as we get it!

With both “Melting Man” and “Slimy Siamese”selling out instantaneously, Scumbags and Superstars have once again called upon the talents of artist Chris Grondin aka Cryptodude for the release of yet another Slimeball… the 3-Eyed King Kong! Based on an original character design from S&S, the suitably gross-looking ball has once again been hand sculpted by Grondin at around 3″ wide, coming cast in an authentic latex foam similar to the original Madballs and layered with a ton of sprays and brushed detailing.
