Mirock Toy have just unveiled yet another finished prototype for their ever-growing Dr Mirock line! Created primarily as a base for the new “Jizo” sculpt, the decidedly abstract looking piece takes on the form of a cloud for the little buddhist monk to ride on. Pictured here ahead of wax prototyping and eventual soft vinyl production, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed the mystical puff makes it’s debut at some point early next year…

Answering the prayers of many a sofubi collector, Marmit’s grail-like Alien sofubi is to be resurrected by Medicom Toy for a special re-release later this month! Featuring all 5 designs from the classic line-up – the “Alien” and Nostromo crew members “Ripley”, “Dallas”, “Kain” and “Lambert” – each 9.5″ tall figure has been produced in soft vinyl and treated to authentic sprays based on the original release. Going on sale through the Medicom Toy store via open preorder starting December 24th, these will set you back just 7,560yen ($62) each plus shipping- a drop in the ocean compared to the prices the originals fetch for now!

Making it’s debut at Milk Magazine’s Milk Mart event over the weekend, the remaining “Rocket Boy” sofubi from Angel Abby is now up for grabs online! Designed by tattoo artist Marcus Yuen and produced by Angel Abby, the 5″ tall, 4-part figure has been produced in a yellow soft vinyl with 2 painted colorways up for grabs; a “Minions” inspired standard edition and a multi-neon “Secret” version. Originally teased right here a few days back, the first release in Plaseebo‘s new “Arachnid” series will be touching down online later this week! A mash-up of the artist’s ever-popular Gnaw head with a resin cast spider body, the one-off creation – spanning an impressive 10″ wide and 4″ high – has been fitted with red glass eye inserts and a motion activated color-changing LED unit with replaceable batteries. Hand painted and signed by the artist, the Gnaw Arachnid will be up for grabs in the Plaseebo online store this Thursday, December 10th for an undisclosed sum…

Having had continued success with his ingenious Neclos-MOTU mashup, the “M.O.T.U.L.O.S” playset, Nerdone are proud to reveal that an all-new mini “Jr” version will be making an appearance early next year! Featuring the same infusion of Neclos Fortress’ “Neclos” and MOTU’s Castle Greyskull, the figure has been reduced to finger puppet-scale, set to come with the same open bottom base made popular by the likes of DeathCat’s Elder Demons and KtoKto’s Monster Series. Pictured here as a finished wax prototype, we’re told to expect the first release some time in February/March 2016…

With the first official painted run of Gory Hole‘s “Warui Zonbi” sofubi finally set to touch down online over the next few weeks, we’re very proud to reveal a surprise extra that’ll be making an appearance too… the Warui Zonbi gacha keshi! Inspired by MaBa Zombies’ gachapon spin-off series, both “Selwyn” and “SS Wolfgang” have been reduced to an authentic 1.5″ tall, albeit coming cast in a solid keshi-style rubber as opposed to the hollow, rotocast feel of the originals. Due to come in all 3 colorways seen in the 1987 vending machine release – the pictured purple and grey, plus a mid-brown – these will rather uniquely NOT be offered up for sale individually, but instead as omake for the next 6 Warui Zonbi sofubi releases. Kicking things off with a painted run on yellow vinyl with the purple Wolfgang you see above, look out for the full lowdown on this first release soon…

Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has just revealed that he’ll be hosting a very special “Beer and Bears” show at Ikebukuro’s PUMP Craft Beer Bar next Thursday, December 12th! Featuring a whole slew of bear-related toys from the Rampage back catalog including custom Kesagakes, Snack Packs and Bunny-Bear gachapon, the star of the show – aside from the awesome selection of beers on offer! – will be the release of the first ever painted Kesagake “Revenge” Bear. Teased above, the towering figure has been treated to a mix of sprays, rubs, dry brushing and hand painted detailing to mimic the first ever Kesagake release from last year.
