Cherri Polly over at Baketan has just unleashed the latest version of their adorable Chi-Chi sofubi, the “Luna Gold Tabby” edition! Standing at around 4.7″ tall and featuring articulation in the head and waist, the little guy has been produced in a gorgeous gold glitter-infused clear vinyl with 2 different color variations up for grabs; “Type A” featuring a black face with gold sprays and “Type B”, coming with a rosy flesh face with gold and flesh sprays. Priced at just $45 each plus shipping, the “Luna Gold Tabby” Chi-Chi’s can currently be found in the Baketan store right here…

Barely Human‘s John Black has teamed up with artist Joseph Harmon for the latest figure in his “Fancy Ape” series, proudly presenting the suave Jacques Chessnutts! Said to be a competitive eater by day and an international playboy by night, the 3.5″ tall resin has been designed and produced by Barely Human to resemble the classic Mexican bootlegs of old, coming hand sprayed with exclusive packaging by Harmon. Going on sale in very limited quantities at Designer Con ’15 booth #1104 next week, pricing and edition size are still to be confirmed… Look out for more DCon exclusives from the Barely Human camp over the next few days!

Tattoo-come-toy artist Joe Trucker of Snatch Punch will be unleashing a number of exclusives at Designer Con ’15 next week (including, fingers crossed, the debut of an all-new figure), the first to be revealed coming in the form of this special “Brush Only” micro-run of Bostyrants from Tru Slithers! Designed by Joe, sculpted by Grizlli Atom aka GNOSIS and produced by Velocitron, the mid size, 4-part soft vinyl has been treated to a number of Tru’s signature hand brushed paint apps, coming in a stunning metallic blue/teal with red and orange detailing. Limited to a run of just 5 figures (TBC) including a special “King Bostyrant” chase replete with viking helmet, expect to see these guys at DCon booth #1104 come opening on Saturday, November 21st…

Yep, we know it’s not a toy in the traditional sense, but this mask based on our favourite slime-filled doll “Ooze-It” from Live Rad Studios was simply too good to ignore! Designed and sculpted by LR’s Thomas Fernandez, the vintage-style vacuform mask features the same iconic sad expression as old craterface, coming hand formed and sprayed in the classic green with red slime. Bob Conge aka Plaseebo is proud to present second in a series of one of a kind customs based on Chinese artist Kerjun’s debut vinyl figure, the Mummy YouZha with Sarcophagus! Standing at around 8″ tall and coming with 5 points of articulation, the gruesome looking zombie has been wrapped in Plaeebo’s signature mummy cloth, coming complete with red inset dolls eyes, an internal, motion activated LED unit and a 9″ sarcophagus accessory to house him in. Coming signed and dated by the artist, the Mummy YouZha will be touching down in the Plaseebo store this coming Friday, November 13th for $350 plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Bear Death God” vinyl figure from Akashik Records…

Originally featured right here just a couple of weeks back, the debut figure from Akashik Records’ Soft Vinyl Toys (ARSVT) – “Bear Death God” – has just made it’s way onto Kickstarter! Designed and sculpted by California-based artist Dave Linares, the 6″ tall beast draws inspiration from right across sofubi and neo kaiju, featuring a beautifully textured, 2-headed design akin to Skull Head Butt’s Demon Cyclops figure complete with 4 points of articulation and both death scythe and battle axe accessories. Produced in a bright green soft vinyl for the Kickstarter campaign, early adoptees can currently pledge just $35 for a blank or $75 for a custom one-off from a number of different artists including D-Lux, Truslithers, UnaffiliatedSJ and Slave x One. Continuing their onslaught of releases over the past few months, the elusive Anraku Ansaku has once again teamed up with Medicom Toy for the launch of 2 all-new figures, Haunted Whale Tiamat and Keitosu! Standing at around 9″ tall each, these stunning sea dwelling kaiju have been produced in contrasting milky and green soft vinyl, coming complete with a mix of solid and metallic sprays with hand brushed detailing for this first outing. Going on sale via open preorder through the Medicom Toy store starting Tuesday, November 24th, both figures have been priced at 16,200yen ($132) each plus shipping… But that’s not all! As an added purchasing incentive, Medicom will be offering up unpainted heads of both Tiamat and Keitosu who buy both! Time to start saving those pennies…

Miscreation Toys‘ Jeremi Rimel has just revealed that his gargantuan “Cestoda” sofubi will be making an appearance at DCon ’15 this month as part of a special “Blood Worm” painted micro-run! Designed by Jeremi, digitally sculpted by iamscumbag and produced in a Japanese soft vinyl courtesy of Toy Art Gallery, the huge figure stands at an impressive 14″ tall and the same wide, coming complete with a whopping 10 points of articulation. Treated to a swathe of gruesome fleshy sprays, paint splatters and hand brushed detailing, this limited run of just 4 figures will be up for grabs from the Miscreation x Retroband booth (#223) for an undisclosed sum… Keep a close eye on the Miscreation Instagram feed here for more DCon ’15 reveals throughout the next couple of weeks!

Datadub has teamed up with paint master Goto-san for a special run of Paul Kaiju‘s Unchiman in a glorious “S.T.E.A.M” colorway! Sprayed in a gorgeous mix of steampunk-inspired copper, silver and gold sprays with black accents, the stunning 9″ tall soft vinyl figure comes complete with matching Morning Man finger puppet omake. Currently available in extremely limited quantities through the Fig-X store right here, the S.T.E.A.M Unchiman will set you back 17,000yen ($138) plus shipping…

Splurrt has just unveiled the first round of exclusives he’ll be bringing along to DCon ’15 in just a couple weeks time! Joining 2 micro runs of the Evolved Diggler in GID vinyl, plus one-off customs of the hugely popular “Walking Cadaver”, the sofubi artist has revealed that a number of new figures are set for debut too, including the pictured “Puppoo” blind bags and our personal favourite, “Uncle Steve”. The guys over at Pop Soda and Refreshment Toy have unveiled a number of exclusives they’ll have up for grabs at DCon ’15 later this month, but there was one that caught our eye in particular, the adorable “Ear Hat” Exotic Short Hair Cupcake! Standing at around 3″ tall, the gorgeous 2-part cupcake cats have been treated to a paint app inspired by Disney’s Mickey Mouse, coming with a mix of red, white and yellow brushwork and finished with the iconic Mickey “ear” hat. Going on sale at DCon booth #713 come opening time on Saturday, November 21st, pricing and edition size on these is still to be confirmed…

Originally debuting way back in March at the Osaka Soft Expo, the adorable Ringo Raccoon from Max Toy Co has finally returned for his second colorway! Designed and sculpted by PicoPico, the little rodent stands at around 2.75″ tall and 3″ long, featuring articulation in both the neck and tail. Produced in a brown vinyl and treated to masked black and cream sprays this time around, Ringo Ver.2 can currently be found in the Max Toy store here for just $30 plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Super Creamium” Mr Melty resin figure from Buff Monster…

Whilst we’ve seen numerous sofubi releases of Buff Monster‘s Mr Melty over the past year or so, the graffiti-come-toy artist is proud to announce a very special “Super Creamium” run of the little guy in resin! Cast from the original Melty sculpt rather than the recent soft vinyl variants, this edition has been hand poured by Buff himself, with each unique figure featuring multiple casts, glitter infusing, marbling and hand painted detailing that appears to be “frozen in space” with the aid of an ample clear coat. Limited to an edition of 40 signed pieces, the 3″ tall figures each come housed in a custom made and painted wooden box. Touching down in the Buff Monster store this coming Friday, November 6th at 10am Eastern time, pricing for the “Super Creamium” Mr Melty is still to be confirmed…

MAN-E-NEWS// The DCon ’15 exclusive “Fumetsu” and “Semi Korosiya” sofubi from Cop A Squat Toys…

Originally unveiled right here early last month, the long-awaited “Fumetsu” sofubi from Cop A Squat Toys will be making its debut at Designer Con ’15 in just a couple of weeks time! Heavily inspired by vintage toys such as Astro-Mu 5, the line features a total of 4 “trans-human” characters spread across 2 sets; Erewhon/Vinge in Set A (top row) and Neuman/Kurzwell in Set B (bottom row); each coming with an ingenious removable torso that reveals a fifth “super computer” character named Allesh that is said to control the four figures from within. Limited to just 5 set of each in a debut GID painted colorway, both Fumetsu Set A and B will be up for grabs from the Lulubell Toys DCon booth (#926) for just $150 each…

But that’s not all! Joining the debut of Fumetsu, C.A.S.T will also have a special DCon ’15 exclusive version of the Semi Korosiya up for grabs too! Produced in a clear dark gray vinyl with metallic gold flake, these guys will come bagged with a screen printed header card for just $70 a pop…

Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has revealed that he’ll be resurrecting Splurrt‘s highly underrated “Evolved Diggler” sofubi for a special mash-up release just in time for Designer Con ’15! Dubbed the “Salary Diggs”, these stunning figures feature the suited body of Skull Head Butt‘s “They Live” with the hands and head of the cycloptic, dual-mouthed beast, each coming complete with a huge amount of masking, rubbing, spraying and dry brushing to create the stunning effect you see above. Limited to just a handful of figures (including a rather awesome pink chase!), expect to see the Salary Diggs at the Rampage x Imps and Monsters DCon booth come opening time on Saturday, November 21st…

MAN-E-NEWS// Radioactive Uppercut’s new keshi series teased…

With the success of the Freaks, Finks and Spazzes tucked firmly under his belt, John Santagada over at Radioactive Uppercut has set about working on an all-new keshi series that should hopefully be making their debut soon! Whilst little is known about the project at present – even a confirmed name! – we’ve been told that these “intestinal kaiju” will be limited to a total of 4 different designs, each coming in slightly smaller than FFS at around 2.5″-2.75″ tall each. Due to be produced by our very own Tru:Tek at the Disart ToyLabs over the coming weeks, be sure to stay tuned for the full lowdown plus a final reveal of all 4 sculpts soon…

Whilst versions of Kearjun‘s latest vinyl figure “Goodon” have been cropping up over the past couple of weeks, Blurble has returned to the artist’s debut toy “YouZha” for a special “Rotten Fruit” micro-run! Standing at around 9″ tall and featuring articulation in the head, arms and legs, the Zombi-inspired figure has been produced in a bright green soft vinyl this time around, coming with numerous sprays, rubs and hand painted detailing from Blurble to create the decayed look you see above. Presumably limited to just 5 pieces, the “Rotten Fruit” YouZhas will be touching down in Blurble’s store this coming Saturday, November 7th for around $125 each plus shipping…
