Rampage Toys‘ Jon Malmstedt has just unveiled the first exclusive release he’ll have up for grabs at Designer Con ’15 next month, taking on Cojica‘s Soprano sofubi for a special “Toshima” micro-run! Standing at around 7″ tall, the adorable pterodactyl has been produced in a bright yellow vinyl this time around, coming with a selection of red, green, black and silver sprays inspired by Bullmark’s classic “Tokyo” Hedorah colorway. Packed with a magnetically attachable “villager” omake in a purplish-brown vinyl, expect the set to drop at the Rampage x Imps and Monsters DCon booth in just 3 weeks time… Look out for more Rampage reveals as we get closer to the event!

MAN-E-NEWS// The OP Customs x Kearjun “Goodon” micro-run…

Wasting no time since Arturo Ulloa’s drop just last week, Kearjun is proud to reveal that OP Customs is the latest artist to take on the mighty Goodon for a special micro-run release! Heavily inspired by Bemon’s iconic “2-Headed” kaiju, which in turn was inspired by Famous Monsters of Filmland’s 1968 “Jack the Giant Killer” cover, the towering 2-faced figure has been designed and sculpted by Kearjun, standing at around 10″ tall and featuring 6 points of articulation. Once again produced in a tan colored vinyl, the lumbering beast has been treated to OP’s signature metallic Monster Kolor sprays and brushed detailing in purple, green, orange and black. Due to go on sale in the OP Customs store today (10/29) at 10am Pacific time, the limited run of just 5 figures are likely to set you back around $225 each plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Fake Baron keshi from Bigmantoys x Awesome Toy…

Hot on the heals of our Puppet Muscles coverage yesterday, we bring you the second release Bigmantoys will have up for grabs later this week… the Fake Baron keshi! Produced in conjunction with Awesome Toy’s ongoing “Artist Series”, the M.U.S.C.L.E-esque piece has been digitally sculpted by BMT’s Lee Burbridge based on the pachi Red Baron design, coming authentically scaled at around 2″ tall. Originally debut at Superfestival 69 last month in a red keshi-like PU rubber, the little guy will be making a return in his original red colorway alongside a version in the standard keshi gomu flesh tone. Up for grabs at just $15 each, expect to see the Fake Baron keshi alongside the Puppet Muscles in the BMT store this coming Friday, October 30th at Midnight London time…

Following last year’s sell out release, Hong Kong-based retailer Angel Abby are proud to announce that they’ve secured yet another run of Blood Guts Toys‘ Shikabane Kaiju just in time for Halloween! From the black and white pictures we’ve seen so far, the 9″ tall neo-kaiju figure will feature just the “Toxic Eater” head this time around, coming with various sprays and dolls eye inserts from Izu. Brian Bunting over at The Galaxy People will be unleashing an all-new version of his popular Drexyl figure at Rampage Studios‘ Halloween group show this week! Featuring the standard soft vinyl Galaxy People body, the latest rendition of the intergalactic feline features a new head with a beautifully realised half-skull face that’s been cast in resin and treated to a number of layered sprays over a bright red rub. Going on sale at the event this Friday, October 30th for just 5,000yen ($42) a piece, a limited supply have been held back for release on the Galaxy People web store at Noon Japan time on Saturday, October 31st…

Teased right here last month, the Mimi Monster sofubi from artist Zhang Sheng will finally be seeing the light of day later this week! Standing at around 5″ tall (TBC), the slimy cyclops features a simple 2-part design, coming cast in a bright orange vinyl and treated to a swathe of gruesome bloody sprays and hand painted detailing. Limited to just 20 pieces for this first outing, Mimi has been priced at $110 plus shipping. There’s no way a Halloween would be complete without a huge Mutant Vinyl Hardcore release, so it came with great pleasure today to find that owner Rich Montanari Jr has a total of 3 – yes, 3! – separate releases planned throughout the week! Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect to see in-store starting tonight…

“Halloween ’15” Sludge Demons// Continuing the recent revival of his first ever sofubi, Rich will be offering up new marbled green, orange and black versions of the ever popular Sludge Demon. Available either blank for $75 and painted for $85, these will be touching down in the MVH store tonight (10/28) at 8pm Eastern time…

“1st Release” Zug the Troll// Next up, we have the long awaited debut of MVH’s latest full-size figure, Zug the Troll. Available in blank green vinyl for $175 or painted up in a swathe of metallics for $200, both versions come complete with both a poop and club weapon omake, a stamped, orange fabric loin cloth, 2 headers and a limited edition “Sofubi much Bro?” sticker. “Halloween ’15” Sam Heinous// Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without Sam, and this year’s edition has got to be one of the best yet. Dubbed the “Ultra Violent” edition, the figure has been produced in a yellow/green olive vinyl with a glow head, coming with layers of metallic green sprays with bright orange, violet details. Priced at $145, Sam will be making his way on the MVH store at 8pm Eastern on Friday, October 30th…

Standing at around 4.5″ tall and featuring 3 points of articulation, the classically-styled kaiju has once again been produced in a unpainted white soft vinyl, this time coming in a bevy of faded neon rainbow sprays courtesy of Angel Abby’s Andy. Lee Burbridge over at Bigmantoys kindly shares with us the first of 2 releases he’ll have up for grabs later this week, proudly presenting the long awaited debut of the Puppet Muscles! Heavily inspired by Full Moon’s cult horror flick “The Puppet Master”, the pair – Blade and Tunneler – have been digitally sculpted by Lee to resemble the classic M.U.S.C.L.E mini figures, coming in-scale at around 2″ tall each. Produced in a keshi-like PU rubber, 2 different colorways will initially be up for grabs; a standard “flesh” and a mixed “neon”, with both limited to just 15 sets of each. Featuring the body of the iconic cat with the head of PDS’ recurring mascot – albeit with additional whiskers and bow! – the 4.1″ tall figure has been produced in a white sofubi complete with masked black, yellow and red sprays. It’s been a long time in coming, but it would appear that the first ever painted run of Bodhisattiva sofubi from Devils Head Productions – dubbed the “Blackmass” edition – will finally be up for grabs soon! Whilst the above blurb and pic is all we have to go on at present, it would appear that the 4.5″ figure has been cast up in a flesh tone soft vinyl with maroon and tan sprays over a black rub, coming complete with both Bodhisattiva and Alavaka heads… Stay tuned for the full lowdown on the release soon!

Following our brief look at the “Mummy” Gnaw-X last week, Bob Conge aka Plaseebo has revealed yet another custom toy he’ll have up for grabs at the Rampage Studios Group Show later this week, proudly presenting the Robot Tank! A one of a kind mash-up of a new Plaseebo hand cast resin robot head on a Max Toy vinyl Kaiju Tank base, the unique looking piece has been treated to gold and silver sprays with rust weathering, coming complete with a pair of inset glass dolls eyes. Signed and dated by the artist, the Robot Tank will be available at the show’s opening this coming Friday, October 30th for an undisclosed sum… Look out for more reveals throughout the week!

With test shots revealed here a few weeks back, we can now finally reveal that Uky Daydreamer‘s awesome “Queen Alice” sofubi will finally be making its debut at Design Fiesta 41 next month! Taking on a more lifelike aesthetic than previous Uky figures, the sleek looking feline protagonist does manage to retain some of the subtle “transforming” design qualities from past releases, including a rotating face/ “Nekomimi” mask head, a fully poseable resin “Dre” sabre, plus a body that can be turned upside-down to create a transporter that houses the pictured companion mini figure. Produced in a bright orange soft vinyl and treated to stunning gold, silver and black sprays for it’s first release, expect to see the 1st edition Queen Alice at Uky’s booth when DF opens its doors on November 21st… Here’s hoping for an online release soon after!

Unveiled right here just a couple of weeks back, the “Goodon” vinyl figure from Kearjun is set to receive it’s first painted run courtesy of kaiju customiser Arturo Ulloa! Heavily inspired by Bemon’s iconic “2-Headed” kaiju, which in turn, was inspired by Famous Monsters of Filmland’s 1968 “Jack the Giant Killer” cover, the towering 2-faced figure has been designed and sculpted by Kearjun, standing at around 10″ tall and featuring 6 points of articulation. Produced in a tan colored vinyl for this first release, the limited run of 5 Goodons are currently being treated to a gorgeous split paint app in a contrasting mix of earthy greens and browns with silver.
