Comprising of 2 different figures; a “Gay Empire” rendition of stormtrooper knock-off Dester Commando in hot pink vinyl, and the Scum Hunter (aka Boba Fett) painted up in the Sucklord’s classic grey jumpsuit; we’re guessing they’ll be making their debut exclusively at Designer Con ’15 next month. Teased right here early last week, the “Kohai” resin kaiju from UnaffiliatedSJ will be making it’s debut in just under an hours time! Said to be inspired by Godzilla’s son “Manilla”, the beautifully sculpted figure is set to play side kick to the artist’s previousluy released Creature-X, featuring an altogether more stout (and short) frame at around 6.5″ tall and coming with 8 fully articulated parts that will be swappable with future releases. Having had continued success with Kesagake over the past year, Jon Malmstedt of Rampage Toys is pleased to announce that the second figure in the ongoing “Kaibutsuya” (Giant Monster Animal Shop) series will be up for grabs soon! Whilst Kesagake was based on the infamous Sankebetsu Brown Bear of Hokkaido Higuma – who was subsequently killed after the worst bear attack in Japanese history – it would appear from the “revenge” stamp pictured that this is actually the same bear, albeit with some neat “mecha” additions to fight off those pesky Higuma settlers once and for good! Originally teased way back in April, the “JunKing” totem sofubi from Imps and Monsters has finally made it to the wax prototype stage this week! Loosely based on the new “Imp Lands” card game of the same name (available for preorder through Kickstarter right here), the absoilutely adorable set featuring a number of familiar animals, riders and artifacts that can be stacked in pairs or altogether in a similar way to Tim Clarke’s Totims. Finally bowing to the requests of his legions of fans, A.R.M (Alien Robot Monster) is proud to reveal that his debut toy “Monsterex” has been reduced down to M.U.S.C.L.E size for a special keshi release! Directly inspired by one of the many foes found in the classic TMNT Adventures comics, the ingenious mix of Universal Monsters – including elements from the Creature from the Black Lagoon, Frankentstein’s Monster, the Mummy and Dracula – has been perfectly realised in 2″ keshi-form, coming digitally sculpted in Z-Brush, 3D printed and then cast in a rubbery resin by A.R.M. Heavily inspired by Bemon’s iconic “2-Headed” kaiju, which in turn, was inspired by Famous Monsters of Filmland’s 1968 “Jack the Giant Killer” cover, the towering 2-faced figure has been designed and sculpted by Kearjun, standing at around 10″ tall and featuring 6 points of articulation.
