Hot on the heals of their recent Ultraman collaboration with Playtoy (check out the awesome figure here if you haven’t already), the guys over at Unbox Industries have teamed up with Blackbox for their latest licensed toy based on the classic tokusatsu series, taking on the mighty Baltan! Created as part of Tsuburaya’s ongoing 50th Anniversary event the “Creative Jam 50“, the highly stylised interpretation of the pincered kaiju has been designed by Blackbox’s Katsuya, with digital sculpting and production duties handled by Unbox. Debuting at the Tokyo-based event on Sunday, August 30th for an undisclosed sum, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that a limited supply have been held back for a drop on the Unbox online store soon after…

Joe Merrill of Splurrt and Secretoy is proud to reveal that his incredible Cinema Monster kaiju will be returning this week for it’s fifth official outing! Heavily inspired by the golden age of monster flicks – including both Ray Harryhausen’s classic Cyclops and the 2-headed “Galligantua” that graces the iconic cover of 1968′s Famous Monsters of Filmland yearbook – the lumbering 12″ tall beast has been produced in a gorgeous unpainted, glitter infused black soft vinyl for this particular release, coming bagged with header art from DeathCat Toys‘ Johan Ulrich. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Ed Roth’s Rat Fink, gross-out toys such as the Madballs and Ma-Ba Zombies, the initial line-up is set to feature a total of 3 very different miscreants – Franken Corpse, Coffin Licker and Spider Brains – all have been sculpted at a super-chunky 3″ tall and nearly 2″ wide. Hot on the heals of his recent “Aoba” collaboration with Konatsuya, T9G has teamed up with none other than Shoko Nakazawa over at Koraters for the release of the “Rangeron” sofubi! Closely mimicking the look of Shoko’s hugely popular debut figure “Bryon” (pictured right), the 4″ tall piece features an almost identical 2-part design, albeit coming complete with T9G’s signature deep textures and horn-like growths. Debuting in clear vinyl at the pair’s “SxT Taipei” show at Singapore’s Paradise toy store today (8/7), we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that Rangeron receives a worldwide release through TAG, Lulubell and Medicom Toy soon…

Originally revealed here as a finished clay-prototype way back in May of last year, the “Sergei the Sturgeon” Mutant Bastard action figure from Dr Death is finally seeing the light of day courtesy of Goodleg Toys! A follow-up to 2013’s incredible “Mutant Steve”, the latest Mutant Bastard borrows heavily from the early 90′s Playmates aesthetic to dazzling affect, coming with all the crazy details and balanced asymmetry that made the likes of TMNT and the Toxic Crusaders such a success in their heyday. Standing at an authentically scaled 5.5″ tall and coming with articulation in the head, tail and arms, the beautifully sculpted piece has been hand cast in resin and treated to an eye-catching, 90’s-style paint app. Due to be making his debut in the Goodleg store soon, look out for full release details for Sergei over the next couple of weeks!

Having had continued success with his debut sofubi Koninu, Monkey3000 over at Ummikko is proud to unveil a near-finished prototype for his latest vinyl figure! Drawing inspiration from classic tokusatsu characters as well as cult horror flick Dreamscape’s Cobra Man, the figure appears to be around the same scale as Koningu at 5.5″ tall, once again coming complete with articulation in both the arms and waist. Fresh back from a recent toy hunting trip over in the UK, Japanese artist Masa-san of Bad Attic Toys is proud to reveal that his long-awaited “Two Face Todd” Trouballz sofubi will be making it’s debut soon! The first to feature in the ongoing Madball-inspired “Trouballz” line, the gruesome ball comes in at an authentically scaled 3″ wide, featuring a two faced, gross-out design complete with a rather clever cranium cap joint. Produced in a thick light purple soft vinyl that mimics the knock-off rubber Madballs of the late 1980’s, the first run is currently being treated to a bootleg-style paint app ahead of their release later this month. Having had the honor of meeting Masa and seeing the balls in-person earlier this month, we can assure any fans of classic gross-out balls that they are most definitely not going to want to miss out on these… With that in mind, be sure to look out for the full, exclusive lowdown on the release right here over the coming weeks!

Continuing their renaissance in classically styled kaiju, the guys over at Roughneck:7 have just unveiled the latest figure to join their ever-growing line-up of city destroying beasts! Referred to as simply “Him” for the time being, the impressive figure dwarfs the previously released Demushiron, Yabkyrie and Jabara at around 14″ tall, coming complete with 9 points of articulation that can be manipulated to transform the figure into a neat “tank mode” (check it out here). Due to head into production soon, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that “He” makes his debut in soft vinyl at Superfestival in September…

Taking on the music collective’s lead guitarist/vocalist “Mecha Elvis”, the crazy, cyborg like character has been faithfully recreated by sculptor Abe Toru at 9″ tall, coming complete with articulation in the waist, an arm and the neck. Originally debuting at Wonderfestival Summer ’15 a couple of weeks back, the line-up consists of a total of 5 different figures from both series 1 and 2 – “Hero Fluffy”, “Friend Fluffy”, “Ninja Fluffy”, “Sister/Dog Fluffy” (sold together) – the adorable little sheep stand at around 1″-2″ tall, coming cast in a keshi-style soft resin with a choice of either classic blue, orange or green colorways.
