Hot on the heals of our reveal of the SDCC ’15 exclusive Snybora last week, the guys over at Rotofugi have teamed up with Squibbles Ink and Chris Ryniak for another “Lake Monsters” con release… a special trifecta of one-off “Big Muscamoot” figures! Designed/sculpted by Ryniak and produced in a soft vinyl courtesy of Squibbles Ink, the trio have each been uniquely painted by the combined talents of Rotofugi’s Kirby Kerr and Joe Summers. Priced at just $150 each, the custom Big Muscamoots will be available alongside a whole host of other exclusives at the Rotofugi booth (#5248) starting Preview Night on Wednesday, July 8th… Look out for another Rotofugi SDCC ’15 reveal tomorrow!

MAN-E-NEWS// The painted “Red Bean” Dissolution of Smoke: Vol. 2 sofubi from Algangu…

Originally debuting in blank form a few weeks back, the second wave of “Dissolution of Smoke” sofubi from Algangu has finally seen its first painted release! Featuring a total of 3 all-new designs inspired by traditional yokai and 1970’s candy shop playing cards, the figures – a gourd holding monk, a castle and a cycloptic hat – stand a little shorter than the first release at around 2.5″-3″ each, coming complete with a finger puppet-style open base design. Produced in the same “red bean” colored soft vinyl as their first outing, the trio have been adorned with simple silver and yellow sprays with black brushed detailing. Currently available to Japanese customers through the Fat Moes store here for just 3,132yen ($26) plus shipping, overseas orders can be placed by e-mailing Algangu directly at algangu@bugsyweb.co.jp

But that’s not all! For those that are still in love with the first Dissolution of Smoke release, you’ll be glad to know that it’ll be returning as part of a 2 pack release with Nerdone‘s M.O.T.U.L.O.S play set! Originally debuting unpainted at Superfestival 68 a few weeks back, the pair have been produced in the same smoke clear soft vinyl, this time coming with matching silver and red sprays. Aaron over at UhOh Toys is proud to reveal that his “Cutty” Errants mini figure is set to return this week as part of a special “Crazy Eyes” play set release! Featuring the little guy in what appears to be a black soft vinyl this time around, the adorable space bull has been treated to minimal teal and gold sprays, coming complete with a knife, cowboy hat, noose, wanted poster and miniature real wood coffin. Limited to just 3 sets, the “Crazy Eyes” Cutty will be up for grabs on the UhOh Toys store this Friday, July 3rd at 12pm Pacific time for an undisclosed sum…

The guys over at Cojica Toys are proud to reveal that their much-loved dino sofubi has returned this week for a slew of new releases! Featuring the mighty Tyranbo in a yellow soft vinyl with gold and blue sprays for just 5,000yen ($41) and Soorano in a red vinyl with metallic blue and silver sprays for 6,000yen ($49), the star of the show has got to be all-new figure “Neclong”; coming in an unpainted blue vinyl for 5,000yen ($41), or with silver and red sprays for just 6,000yen ($49). Having recently produced Madball-style figures for both Blurble and Mutant Vinyl Hardcore, artist Chris Grondin has teamed up with none other than Scumbags and Superstars to kickstart their long awaited “Scumballs” line… starting with the jaw dropping “Slimey Siamese” you see above! Based on an original character design from longtime S&S collaborator Sexual Youkai, the suitably gross-looking ball had been hand sculpted by Chris at around 3″ wide, coming cast in an authentic latex foam and layered with a ton of sprays and brushed detailing. China-based toy artist Kearjun has just revealed his debut vinyl figure, the horrific YouZha! Inspired by Fulci’s cult horror flick Zombi 2, the hand sculpted undead monstrosity stands at around 8″ tall (TBC) and comes with articulation in the legs, arms and neck. Debuting as part of a unique “trade only” release in an unpainted glow-in-the-dark vinyl, anyone interested can hit up Kearjun’s agent Gabriella June at DDF_KYDD@yahoo.com with their enquiries… Haven’t got anything to trade? Rather aptly dubbed “Mock Man”, the latest version – a homage to none other than Superman – has been produced in a bright green soft vinyl complete with authentic blue, red and flesh sprays. As if the previously announced Chibi Pachi-Bots weren’t enough, Nama Niku has revealed that he will once again be teaming up with artist John Black for the release of an all-new custom mini figure set! Whilst we don’t have too much information to go on at present, the mini deck propped up alongside the prototype below would suggest a skate theme for the upcoming series. Set to feature a total of 5 figures – 2 each from the pair and 1 as-yet-unannounced – the little guys are due to be cast in a keshi-style rubber coming packed with art from Black. Super-collector Linda Conrad of ChibiGobiToys has revealed that she’s teaming up with Novelty Haus and Marmit for an exclusive release at premier Godzilla/kaiju con “G-Fest XXII” next weekend! Whilst details are still thin on the ground at present, ongoing teasers have revealed that the release will feature a total of 10 Godzilla figure sets produced by Marmit, each coming in an exclusive clear soft vinyl with blue, pink and gold sprays. Yet another keshi outfit that we can’t get enough of at the moment, Uncut have just revealed that a third figure in their ongoing “Splatter Retsuden” series will be ready by the end of the summer! Inspired by cult horror flick Maniac Cop’s lead protagonist, the Bikkuriman-style keshi appears to be the same size as the previously released SP figures (Boropushi/Mush-Man), coming in at around 2.5″. Having worked on a run of “Jyujin” sofubi for Rotofugi last year, Rich Montanari Jr over at Mutant Vinyl Hardcore has revealed that he’s taken on yet another must have figure from GEEK! – the Requiemer of Sun and Death – for his latest third party release! Designed by GEEK! and sculpted by Pico Pico, the figure, inspired by the Aztec’s”Xolotl” stone motif, stands at a gargantuan 12″ tall, coming cast in what appears to be a black soft vinyl with a mix of “lost idol” inspired gold and metallic sprays from Rich. Having had continued success with their debut “Zombie Army” keshi, the guys behind FTWR Toy are proud to reveal that a revised version is in the works and should be available to purchase soon! Once again sculpted by the artist behind the original Neclos Fortress keshi, the figure appears to be in very much the same style as the first version, albeit in a different pose and with some added “mutant” muscle definition.
