Bowing to the constant requests of fans, Rich Page over at UME Toys is proud to announce the arrival of “GeeGee”- the lady Geekwok! Standing at a hairy 3″ tall, this all-new sculpt is the perfect companion to the original ‘lil geek, featuring similar oversized specs and an adorable bow. Hand cast in resin and painted up by Rich in a swathe of acrylic washes and detailing, the little cutie is set to receive her first worldwide release this coming Friday, June 5th at 9pm London time. Limited to just 20 figures, the signed and numbered GeeGee will be available from the UME store for just £34 plus shipping…

Debuting at Superfestival 68 a few weeks back, DeathCat Toys‘ Elder Demons: Series 1 sofubi will finally be available for general consumption soon! Designed by DeathCats’ Johan Ulrich and sculpted by KtoKto, the 2.5″ tall Bikkuriman/Ma-Ba-style split torso minis – Oni Mira and the Red Pharoah – have been produced by none other than Luke Rook of Lulubell Toys, coming in a gorgeous dark grey and red marbled soft vinyl for this first online release. Due to be making an appearance in the DeathCat Toys store for around $35 a set, look out for full release details soon…

Continuing their recent onslaught of releases, the duo behind sofubi brand Baketan are proud to reveal the “Nurse” edition Nenne, Chi-Chi and Nei! Standing between 4″-4.5″ tall and featuring articulation in the neck, the trio of adorable medical aids have been produced in a rather apt white colored soft vinyl this time around, coming complete with subtle silver, brown, flesh and pink sprays with red cross detailing. Priced at just $35 each plus shipping, the “Nurse” Nenne, Chi-Chi and Nei sofubi will be unleashed in the Baketan store on Monday, June 15th at 11am Japan time…

Having debuted way back in November of last year, it comes with great pleasure today to reveal that Geek Life‘s “Mammoth” sofubi is finally set to return this month in a Convict exclusive colorway! The second figure in the officially licensed Sega Retro Game Sofbi Collection, the Yamada Masami sculpted figure – taken from cult 1985 shooter Space Harrier – stands at just under 10″, coming complete with articulation in all 4 legs and both tusks. Produced in a clear blue soft vinyl with minimal white, red and black detailing for this second outing, the Convict exclusive Mammoth will be touching down online and in-store on Saturday, June 27th for just 9,720yen ($78)…

MAN-E-NEWS// New “Fiji Mermaid” and “Kaiju Avilar” resin figures from Gorgoloid…

Gorgoloid‘s Barry Allen Williams is proud to present the latest addition to his ever growing family of resin kaiju, the super-creepy Fiji Mermaid! Based on the original sideshow oddity that was bought by an American Sea Captain from Japanese sailors in the early 1800’s, these “mermaids” were created by Asian fishermen who would stitch together taxidermy monkey and fish bodies to resemble the mythical beasts. Coming in at around 3.5″ long, Gorgoloid’s rendition has been has been hand sculpt and cast in resin by the artist, featuring a mixed, 2-part design that’s been tinted in a variety of Monster Kolor dyes. Limited to an edition of 25 for this first round, the Fiji Mermaids will be touching down in the Gorgoloid store this Thursday, June 4th at 6pm Pacific for just $30 each plus shipping…

Joining the mermaids, Gorgoloid will also be unleashing a pair of one-off Kaiju Avilars. Standing at around 6″ tall, the pair have been cast in marbled white resin complete with matching Monster Kolor sprays and hand painted detailing. Priced at $100 each, these will join the Fiji Mermaids in the Gorgoloid store this Thursday…

Originally teased here way back in April, the awesome “Joker” Gero sofubi from Slave One will finally be making its way onto the Clutter store later this week! Inspired by the classic attire of Batman’s greatest foe, the 6.5″ tall figure has been cast in lavender purple sofubi and treated to hand-painted red, green, yellow, white, and pink detailing. Rounded out with the addition of a black string bowtie and green colored doll eye, this rendition of Mistah J wouldn’t feel complete without his frequent accomplice and girlfriend, Harley Quinn! Debuting Unaffiliated SJ’s new “Tesaki” resin figure, the 3-inch tall companion omake has been sprayed by SLAVE×ONE to match Harley’s classic red and black costume. Limited to an edition of just 7 sets worldwide, the “Joker” Gero sets will be touching down in the Clutter store this Friday, June 5th at Noon Eastern time for just $69 a piece plus shipping…

Hot on the heals of yesterday’s one-off “T1O” release, the guys over at GRUP Design are proud to reveal that their debut sofubi – “Rimey” from The Midnight Parade – is now up for grabs in a stunning “Pop Shower” colorway! Standing at around 4″ tall and featuring 2 points of articulation, the Kenth Toy Works sculpted figure has been produced in a white soft vinyl this time around, coming complete with subtle green sprays and splatters inspired by vanilla/mint ice cream. After months in development, Unbox Industries are proud to present the first in a series of licensed vinyl figures from the incredible 1973 animated feature ‘La Planete Sauvage’, the beautiful Tiva! Working closely with Argos Films to ensure that the figure was rendered true to the original source, the Unbox digital team have captured the essence of one of the movie’s most memorable characters perfectly, opting for a minimal 8.5″ tall rendition with articulation in the arms. Packed in a gated, full color display box, Tiva is currently available via preorder through the Unbox store right here for just $65 a piece. Shipping has been estimated for late June…

MAN-E-NEWS// “Red King” and “Pigumon” Ultra Kaiju and the Rotten DX from Rampage Toys…

Teased here back in April, the “Red King” and “Pigumon” Ultra Kaiju figures from Rampage Toys will finally be unleashed online next week! Taken from classic tokusatsu show Ultaman, the official, Tsuburaya-licensed figures have been sculpted by Jon in-scale with the previous 2 releases at around 6″-7″ tall each, with Piguman featuring an ingenious articulated balloon, whilst Red King comes complete with an adorable micro Pigumon omake. Produced by Marmit in a dark red soft vinyl with factory-style sprays from Jon, the pair will be debuting simultaneously in both the Marmit and Rampage online stores next Tuesday, June 9th, coming in at just $45 each plus shipping…

But that’s not all! Having had continued success with the Rotten-X mega collab, Jon has revealed that he’ll be teaming up with Mutant Vinyl Hardcore for a limited run of Rotten DX figures! Featuring the standard MVH “DX” body alongside the Triclops designed, Zectron sculpted Rotten Tomato head, the figure has been produced in a GID soft vinyl with neon sprays and gold accents from Jon. Little is known about the release at present, but you can be sure that as soon as we find out, you guys will be the first in the know…

Originally debuting at Art Toy Culture a few weeks back, the collaborative AOBA sofubi from T9G x Konatsuya is now finally up for grabs online thanks to Angel Abby! Sculpted in T9G’s signature style, the figure still fits in perfectly with the rest of Konatsuya’s extensive line-up of figures, coming in at around 3.5″ tall and featuring a similar “paws up” stance. Available in both unpainted black and white soft vinyl, AOBA can be found alongside a number of other T9G figures in the Angel Abby store right here, coming in at just $25 plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Noxious” BIO-HAZRD sofubi Kickstarter from Chokehazrd Toys…

Born out of his passion for sofubi and the designer toy world, UK-based artist/designer Luke Telford of newly formed Chokehazrd Toys comes with his debut figure, the jaw-dropping Noxious! Luke kindly explains a little bit about the project… “After collecting Sofubi toys for a while I found pretty quickly that I could not satisfy my love for these toys, no matter how many I accumulated. It was then I realised I needed to start making my own. A perfect way to express myself creatively and continue my love affair with Sofubi, I decided to take the leap and start up CHOKEHAZRD TOYS… I plan to produce many toys under the CHOKEHAZRD umbrella, but the 2 main toy design streams will be; BIO-HAZRD – Creatures born out of the chemical and biological disasters polluting our planet and NUKE-HAZRD – Creatures born from radiation and waste from nuclear disasters as well as the use of nuclear weapons.”

Kicking things off in the BIO-HAZRD camp, Noxious – designed and sculpted by Luke – stands at around 6.5″ tall, coming complete with a whopping 6 points of articulation and a removable eye that can be swapped between toys. Currently being prototyped over in Japan ahead of full soft vinyl production, Luke has set up a Kickstarter campaign for the figure which will go towards funding the final steel molds needed for casting. Offering up a range of different tiers for all budgets, £35 will secure the base figure in either purple, green or GID vinyl, whilst the highest, coming in at £120, includes a one-off custom, a blank figure, plus a t-shirt and sticker pack. Up and coming toy company Bad Attic are proud to reveal that they’ll be releasing a number of trading cards, mini figures and sofubi throughout 2015, kick things off with the awesome Madballs-inspired Two Face Todd! The first to feature in Bad Attic’s ongoing Trouballz line, the figure comes in at an authentically scaled 3″ wide, featuring a – you guessed it – two faced, gross-out design with a rather clever cranium cap joint. Currently undergoing the final stages of wax prototyping courtesy of Bad Attic’s Masa-shi, Two Face Todd is set for soft vinyl production in the very near future. It’s been a long while since we last saw a painted run of Semi Korosiya sofubi, so it came with great pleasure over the weekend to find that Cop A Squat Toys‘ Adam Saul has dropped a fresh batch of the figure in his store! Available with a choice of 2 very different paint apps – teal/purple and a super-limited black/pink – both have been treated to a mix of masked and free sprays over hot pink and white soft vinyl. Coming bagged with screen printed and airbrushed headers, the “Hiatus” Semi Korosiya’s can be found in the Cop A Squat Toys store right here for just $80 each plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// RESTORE’s “Iron Meat” sofubi test pull revealed…

Originally announced right here back in April, the incredible “Iron Meat” SFB from RESTORE has finally been revealed as a finished vinyl test pull! Said to be the friend of the previously released “Neo Japan”, the lumbering cyborg – originally realised in garage kit form (below) has been reimagined by RESTORE’s Abe Junnokai, standing at little over 8″, coming with 8 points of articulation and featuring clear cutaway sections in the stomach and on the head. Likely to be making it’s debut at Wonderfestival Summer ’15 next month, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a full, painted reveal over the coming weeks…
