Yep, yet more from Rampage Toys‘ Jon Malmstedt today, as we reveal yet another painted micro-run he’ll have up for grabs at Superfestival 68 later this week… the “Aqua Green” Nerdone Gorilla Tanks! Using the remaining 3 figures from the previous Wonderfestival release, the Nerdone tanks have been produced in a white soft vinyl, this time around coming with a tight mix of metallic aqua, silver and red sprays over a black base. Packed with matching striped Gorilla “omake” – if you can call it that, the thing stands at over 10″ tall! – the Gorilla Tanks will be touching down at the Rampage Toys/Galaxy People Superfestival booth (a-13) this Sunday, April 26th for around 15,000yen ($126)…

Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has been working his magic on yet more of The Disarticulators’ Oozeball sofubi, proudly presenting a trifecta of ToyCon UK exclusive custom one-offs! Produced in a non-squishy flesh-toned vinyl this time around – sadly sans squeaker – the Tru:Tek-designed, Zectron-sculpted balls have been treated to layers of sprays and brushwork, with the rather aptly titled (from left to right) “Red Planet”, “Funfetti Ooze” and “Golden Sludge” all having their own very distinct look and feel. Due to touch down alongside a whole host of other ooze-related surprises during Tru:Tek’s stint at the Toy Shack booth this Saturday, April 25th, the trio of Rampage customs will set you back just £65 ($100) each… Look out for more ToyCon reveals from our editor in chief later this week!

As if the “Kyorochan” Diatryma custom and Fake Spectreman prototypes revealed just yesterday weren’t enough, the guys over at Awesome Toy have revealed yet another piece that’ll be winging it’s way over to ToyCon UK this week, the hilarious “Naked Baron” one-off! Originally painted for fun way back last year before FAKE BARON’s official release, the flesh-toned prototype has since received further detailing – albeit in the form of drawn on body hair, butt cheeks and nipples! – in preparation for it’s release at the Kaijumonster booth (#29) this Saturday, April 25th. Coming bagged with an exclusive custom header (shown above), pricing for this rather unique piece is still to be confirmed…

But wait, there’s more! Not content with showing at just one con this weekend, Awesome Toy will also be unleashing a new painted run of FAKE BARON sofubi at Superfestival 68 too! Inspired by the classic Scopedog colors, the 9″ figure has been produced in an authentic army green vinyl with light blue, mint and red sprays. Going on sale at the Rampage Toys/Galaxy People booth (a-13), the “Armored” Barons have been priced at just 10,000yen ($84) each…

Hugely popular upon their initial release last year, the “Matsutake Mask” sofubi gacha micros from Sunguts and One-Up have finally made a return this week! A hilarious mini interpretation of Sunguts’ recurring Matsutake mushroom, the little guy features a similar aesthetic to One-Up’s previous lucha gacha release, standing at around 2.5″ tall and coming with articulation in the neck. Available in a blind-assortment of 4 colors; blue, white, red and brown, the Matsutake Mask micros can currently be found in the One-Up gachapon machines for just 500yen ($4) a pop- time to find a friend in Japan to help bag some of these!

A cross between lucha and samurai, the stunning kinkeshi inspired figure stands at an oversized 2.5″ tall – what appears to be the standard for contemporary keshi these days – coming cast in a flexible, flesh toned urethane rubber. Following a hugely successful opening over the weekend, Toy Art Gallery are proud to reveal that the remaining piece from the GNOSIS group show are now up for grabs online! “Intelligent slugs are not new to Earth. They’re just small enough for us to not know about them. From the telekinetic deep sea nudibranch elders, to the hard-mantled terrestrial gastropod mollusc, their secrets are finally revealed – forcing them out into the open to live alongside, or battle mankind!!”

Our good friend Lee Burbridge over at Bigmantoys is proud to reveal that the second wave of “Day of the Slug” minis will be touching down later this week! Heavily inspired by Tim Clarke’s Mini Boglins, the 1″-1.5″ tall rubber figures have been designed and sculpted by Lee, with each mutated mollusc once again based on either a horror/fantasy theme or direct film parody. Releasing across 4 super-collectible waves of 4 figures a year – that’s a total of 16 in 2015! – this round will feature the pictured Slugger, Leatherface, Portal Mage and Portal Slug in a selection of hand cast rubber finishes. Due to touch down in the Bigmantoys store this Saturday, April 25th at 11pm London time, DotS: Wave 2 will again be available through 2 different buying options; singularly for $10, or just $30 for the “Value” 4 pack; with super-glossy companion trading cards of each character available for an additional $1 per figure… Stay tuned for news of the next wave over the coming months!

With ToyCon UK in just a few days time, The Tarantulas have begun to reveal the handful of exclusives they’ll have up for grabs at the event… starting with this beautiful “Gold Glitter” Nibbler sofubi! Whilst information remains scarce at present, it would appear that the highly sought after RealxHead collaboration has been produced in an unpainted gold lamé soft similar to the recent “Glitter Bomb” Unchiman and Finger5 sets (check them out here). Likely to retail at around £30-£35 each, expect to find these at the Toy Shack booth at some point on Saturday, April 25th. Look out for more reveals from The Tarantulas later in the week!

MAN-E-NEWS// Blood Guts Toys’ “Namanari Ningyo” sofubi revealed…

Whilst this past weekend’s GNOSIS group show at Toy Art Gallery played host to a number of different Shikabane Kaiju customs from Blood Guts Toys‘ Izumonster, it was the reveal of his latest sofubi that really stole the show… the stunning Namanari Ningyo! An ingenious blend of Japanese folklore, the figure features the head of Namanari – a half beast/half human creature – and the body of Ningyo – a fish-like creature often referred to as “mermaid”. Pictured here as a flesh-toned test pull, it would appear that the piece comes in at around the same size as the Shikabane Kaiju (10″+), with articulation in both the arms and neck. Sadly not for sale at the event, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that the figure will be making it’s debut in the near future. Keep track of Izumonster’s Instagram feed here for more news soon…

Having already made appearances in sofubi and 3.75″ action figure form over the past couple of years, Kenth Toy Works‘ signature Clockwork Orange-inspired character – Nadsat Boy – has finally made the transition into 1/6th scale! Standing at around 12″ tall, the hyper-realistic figure features many of the characteristics seen in previous releases, including removable cain, “maskie” mask and bowler hat. Due for release as a vintage-style resin garage kit soon, interested parties can check out the fully painted and assembled prototype seen above at Superfestival 68 this Sunday, April 26th- here’s hoping for a full release soon after!

It’s been a while since we last heard anything from the highly talented Jack’s Attic, so it came with great pleasure this weekend to find that they’re finally gearing up for their latest release, the awesome “8Bit13” bootleg resin figure! A variant of Jack’s previously release “Kill People” peg figure, the awesome mini Jason has been revived in a mix of purple and blue resin as a nod to 1989’s infamous Friday 13th videogame. Coming packed on vintage, repurposed Nintendo cartridges complete with authentic custom game labels and hang tags ready for display, the limited run of just 20 figures will be touching down in the Jack’s Attic store this coming Saturday, April 25th at Noon Eastern time for just $30 each plus shipping. To sweeten the deal even further, Jack will be including a scratch-off trading card with every order that gives purchasers the opportunity to win a one-of-a-kind “Bloody Gold” variant figure- what more could you want?!

Originally teased here back in December of last year, BlackBook Toy‘s latest collaboration with Ron English and Popaganda – Evil Mc – has finally been revealed in full! Based on the reoccurring character seen in many of English’s paintings, the sinister-looking fast food anti-mascot has been realised in 3D by the talented Chop over at Monster Farm, standing at well over 13″ tall and coming with an impressive 8 points of articulation. Making it’s first appearance in prototype form at ATC 2015 over the weekend – complete with detachable fast food gun and jumbo hamburger accessory – the hulking figure will be making it’s painted retail debut at Superfestival 68 this coming Sunday, April 26th for an undisclosed sum. As if last week’s steady flow of exclusive reveals wasn’t enough, Koji Harmon over at Comet Debris has yet more figures up his sleeve for ToyCon UK this weekend! First up, we have a companion to the previously posted Lonny, the “Clear Blue & Glow” Jeff. Once again produced in a gorgeous marbled clear blue and glow soft vinyl, the 4.5″ tall “Suns of Broadarr” figure has been treated to minimal pink and silver sprays, coming in at just £35 a pop. Next up, we have the return of Comet Debris’ highly sought after Kappaborg. Produced in a clear red vinyl with a mecha insert designed by Chanmen, the little guy won’t be available to purchase individually, but instead will be offered up for free to customers who purchase 4 or more figures from the Comet Debris booth (#38). Supplies are said to be limited, so be sure to make the booth one of your first ports of destination to avoid missing out on this super-sweet deal!

Following our test-shot reveal last month (check it here), we can now finally reveal full-release details for the latest batch of Galaxy People sofubi from Japan-based artist Brian Bunting! Featuring a total of 3 new “villain” characters – Drexyl, a teleporting cat assassin, Skreel, the galaxy bat, and Tragg, a ruthless dinosaur-headed mercenary – the trio stand at around 4.5″ tall each, coming complete with the standard sofubi mini “arms up” pose as well as articulation in both the head and waist. Produced in what appears to be a mix of orange/black soft vinyl with vintage style spot-sprays and hand painted detailing, this first batch will be making their debut at Tokyo’s Superfestival 68 this Saturday, April 26th at the Galaxy People/Rampage booth… Unable to attend the con? Following the success of their DCC exclusive “Vamp Baron” micro-run (check it here), the guys behind Awesome Toy have once again teamed up with Kaijumonster for another round of EU con exclusives, this time taking on the UK’s ToyCon! First up, we have a one-off Hukkokudo x Grumble Toy “Kyorochan” Diatryma custom. Produced in a bright yellow soft vinyl, the flightless pre-historic bird has been treated to a vintage-style brown and red paint app that resembles Kyorochan, a Japanese cartoon bird that serves as a mascot for a brand of morinaga chocolate known as “Chocoball”… Joining the Diatryma, Awesome Toy will also be unleashing a limited batch of 4 Spectreman prototypes. Produced in a selection of yellow, orange and red sofubi, these ultra-rare protos each come packed in retro printed PVC bags with authentic header cards. Due to touch down at the Kaijumonster booth (#29) this Saturday, April 25th, pricing for all 5 figures is still to be confirmed…

The guys behind elusive Japanese sofubi house Ilu Ilu have just revealed their latest offering ahead of Superfestival 68 this weekend, the breathtaking “Cyber Future Techno Loader” series! Heavily inspired by the likes of Transformers and Micronauts, the initial line-up consists of 2 vintage-style bots – Commander Victor (red) and Commander Victor (green) – both coming packed with a set of 4 mini robots in Ilu Ilu’s signature deluxe window display box. Due to go on sale via lottery at Superfestival 68 this coming Sunday, April 26th, both versions have been priced at 24,000yen ($201) each. Likely to be as easy to obtain as chicken teeth outside the con, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a more general release soon…

Featuring all-new limited runs of some of their most popular resin figures – the Kiddos, Giggles, Catrinettes and Scott Tolleson collab, the masked Weishaupts – these have been joined by the latest painted run of Merryners sofubi. Joining the all-new Rotten-X revealed just yesterday, Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has just revealed yet another exclusive that’ll be up for grabs at Superfestival 68 next weekend, a special “Galactic Teleportation” edition of The Disarticulators‘ Oozeball! Produced in a squishy clear matt soft vinyl this time around, the Tru:Tek-designed, Zectron-sculpted “sqeaky toy” has been treated to 2 different paint apps for the run; a neon pink and a rarer green, both coming complete with matching gold sprays and hand painted detailing. Making an appearance at the Rampage Toys booth (#a13) alongside a ton of other soon-to-be-released goodies next Sunday, April 26th, any leftover will be heading to the Rampage online store the following day…

But that’s not all! On top of the painted run, Rampage will also be offering up a special one-off “Moon Cheese” custom! Produced in a non-squishy GID soft vinyl (sans squeaker), the ball has been adorned with orange/yellow sprays and hand painted detailing. Whilst this one is unfortunately likely to sell at Superfestival, collectors in the West will be glad to know that another 3 one-off custom Oozeballs will be making their way to ToyCon UK in little over a weeks time- more news on those very soon!
