MAN-E-NEWS// More ToyCon UK exclusives from Comet Debris revealed…

Joining the previously posted “Marbled Green” Kappa Kid, “Glow” Kappa Shonen, “Black Glitter” Ace Robo and “Neon Red” Sametan, Koji Harmon over at Comet Debris has revealed yet another 2 exclusives he’ll have up for grabs at ToyCon UK next weekend… First up, we have an all-new painted run of Gravy Toys’ “Lonny” Suns of Broadarr figure. Produced in a gorgeous marbled clear blue and glow soft vinyl, the 4.5″ tall piece has been treated to minimal masked yellow sprays, coming in at just £35 a pop. Next up, we have the return of Comet Debris’ latest figure, the Micronauts-inspired “Electric Boy”. Produced in a clear red vinyl infused with contrasting blue glitter, the unpainted piece will be joining Lonny at the Comet Debris booth (#38) next Saturday, April 25th for just £35. Look out for CD’s final ToyCon reveal – a clear red version of the “Kappaborg” – at some point over the weekend…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Pickled Punk” Autopsy Zombie Staple Babies from Miscreation Toys…

Jeremi Rimel over at Miscreation Toys has just put the finishing touches to his latest round of Autopsy Zombie Staple Babies, proudly presenting the “Pickled Punk” edition! Produced in a Japanese soft vinyl, the grotesque 9″ tall figures have been treated to a series of free sprays, detail hugging washes and fine brushwork to create the grim-looking monstrosities you see above. Limited to an edition of just 3 this time around – each coming packed in a special plastic display box – these pickled punks are currently up for grabs by enquiry only, with interested parties having to e-mail Jeremy direct at sales@miscreationtoys.com with their requests…

MAN-E-NEWS// “The What?” resin figure from Renewed Kreations x MOCJoes…

Joe over at Renewed Kreations is proud to reveal details of his latest custom resin action figure, “The What?”! A crazy mash-up of various vintage toys – including, of course, a rendition of Disney’s Donald Duck – the 3.75″ scale piece has been hand cast in resin and treated to a 90’s-centric paint app inspired by the “Saved by the Bell” logo. Coming packed on a deluxe, re-sealable blister card designed and produced by MOCJoes, the limited edition of just 10 pieces will be joined by 2 one-off variants in the Renewed Kreations store today (4/17) at Noon Pacific time, coming in at just $50 and $55 respectively plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// GNOSIS x Monster Island x Pop Soda’s “Goon Squad” resin prototypes revealed…

Originally teased here earlier in the week, the “Goon Squad” mega collab from GNOSIS, Monster Island and Pop Soda had just been revealed in-full! Unlike originally thought, the previously posted sculpts WON’T be used for a Madball-style release, but are in fact heads for a series of full-size, Rat Fink inspired figures! Loosely based on the (sadly canned) E-Ball-A figure revealed a while back, the trio – Electric Finkinstein, Shroom Goon and Pop Soda – have been sculpted by GNOSIS’ Grizlli Atom, coming in at around 8″ tall with articulation in both the arms and head. Prototyped in a white, black rubbed resin by Monster Island for a limited release at the GNOSIS group show at TAG tomorrow (4/18), we’re told to expect the gang in soft vinyl courtesy of Pop Soda later in the year. Look out for more news on these guys soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Prosciutto- Batto- Volcano” wooden figure from Psycho Scimitar…

“His wings are made of old pepperoni that’s been cooked in a secret underground oven fueled by fossilized pterodactyl turds. Enter any of his erupting volcano puss holes and all of your favorite types of lasagna will appear before you… He’s Italian.”

Continuing his onslaught of releases over the next few weeks, Alex Gavryushenko over at New York-based apparel and toy brand Psycho Scimitar has just revealed the latest creation to hit is store, the awesome “Prosciutto- Batto- Volcano” wooden figure! Standing at an impressive 11″ tall with a 12″ wing span, the eye-catching piece comes hand cut, screen printed and fitted with articulation in the head and arms. Initially up for grabs in a stunning blue/purple/red with a black trim, look out for “Prosciutto- Batto- Volcano” in the Psycho Scimitar store later today (4/17) for just $45 plus shipping… Stay tuned for details on the next release soon!

MAN-E-NEWS// The Superfestival 68 exclusive “Rotten-X’ from Rampage Toys…

As per usual, Rampage Toys‘ Jon Malmstedt has revealed that he’ll be going all out for Superfestival 68 next weekend, bringing along a whole heap of original sofubi, painted micro-runs and one-off custom releases- the first of which coming in the form of these drop-dead gorgeous Rotten-X’s! Featuring the Triclops designed/Zectron sculpted “Rotten Tomato” ball as a head, the b-movie “X” body figure has been jointly produced by Rampage Toys and Skull Head Butt, standing at around 9″ tall and coming with 5 points of articulation. Once again produced in a milky soft vinyl infused with red glitter, the piece has been treated to layers of Hawaii-style pink, gold, metallic teal and green sprays with numerous hand painted details. Available at the Rampage Toys booth (#a13) alongside a ton of other soon-to-be-released goodies next Sunday, April 26th, any leftover will be heading to the Rampage online store the following day… Look out for details on a special ToyCon UK exclusive variant early next week!

MAN-E-NEWS// Max Toy Co’s “Kaiju Kinora”, “Kaiju Nemuke” and “Ultimate Saikobi” revealed…

Following the success of Teresa Chiba’s Kibunadon, Mark Nagata over at Max Toy Co has revealed that another 2 designs from last year’s Kaiju Gals competition have made the transition into soft vinyl and will be up for grabs soon! Featuring “Kaiju Kinora” (the Mushroom Monster) from Kaori Hinata and “Kaiju Nemuke” from Hikari Bambi, the pair have been sculpted by none other than Makino-san of TTToys, coming in-scale with previous “Monster Boogie” figures at around 3″ tall. Pictured here in a stunning green soft vinyl, we can only assume that the duo will be debuting in this color at Superfestival 68 next Sunday, April 26th. But that’s not all… One of the original “Monster Boogie” figures, Saikobi, is set to return in upscaled “Ultimate” form! Designed and sculpted by Pico Pico, the incredible mid-large size kaiju features a similar half-mecha style to the recently released Kumaborg- albeit on a much larger scale! Pictured here as a finished clay proto, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a release over the next couple of months…

The guys behind new sofubi brand WAZURI are proud to present the debut of their first ever toy, the simply titled “elephant”! Standing at around 6″ tall, the beautifully realised 2-part piece has been produced in what appears to be a milky soft vinyl complete with minimal blue and gold spray accents. Due to touch down in toy retailer Convict Shimokitazawa‘s online store this coming Saturday, April 18th at 2pm Japan time, WAZURI’s elephant will be available for just 7,020yen ($59) plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Sludge Kraken DX” sofubi from Paul Kaiju x MVH…

Having seen extremely limited appearances at the tail end of last year, the highly anticipated collaboration between heavyweights Paul Kaiju and Mutant Vinyl Hardcore – the Sludge Kraken DX – is finally set to receive it’s first general release this weekend! Featuring the standard MVH DX body with Paul Kaiju’s all-new “Kraken” head sculpt, the 8″ tall figure has been produced in a gorgeous baby pink soft vinyl with magenta rubs and metallic sprays. Up for grabs at just $130 plus shipping, anyone looking to bag the figure is going to need to fill out the dedicated raffle form that’ll be appearing on PK’s site (click the “Raffle Open” tab on the front page) this Sunday, April 19th at Noon PST. Shane Wood over at new toy outfit Eagle Eye Prime is proud to reveal his debut sofubi, Stardust: The Super Wizard! Based on legendary cartoonist Fletcher Hanks’ 1939 superhero of the same name, the stunning, vintage-styled figure has been meticulously sculpted in the artist’s bizarre, compelling style, coming it at around 8″ of articulated Japanese soft vinyl. Coming packed with a Hanks-inspired mini comic written and illustrated by Benjamin Marra, the figure will be up for preorder through Eagle Eye Prime as soon as this coming Friday, April 24th. MAN-E-NEWS// DeathCat Toys x TAG’s Akumaneko, Psycho Sophie and Owlene sofubi revealed…

Originally unveiled way back in July of last year, the Devilman-inspired sofubi series from DeathCat Toys and Toy Art Gallery has finally been revealed in all it’s glory! Featuring a total of 3 different characters – the mini “Psycho Sophie” and “Owlene”, plus the mid-large sized Akumaneko – the trio have been designed by DeathCat’s Johan Ulrich and sculpted by Grizlli Atom of Gnosis Toys, with production taken care of by TAG. Due to be making their debut at the GNOSIS group show at TAG this coming Saturday, April 18th, a limited supply of unpainted white casts as well as a number of custom hand paints from DeathCat will be up for grabs- here’s hoping a few make it to the online store soon after!

Joining the previously posted “Marbled Green” Kappa Kid, “Glow” Kappa Shonen and “Black Glitter” Ace Robo, Koji Harmon over at Comet Debris has revealed yet another exclusive figure he’ll have up for grabs at ToyCon UK next weekend, the “Neo Red and Yellow” Sametan! Produced in a mixed-part neon red and bright yellow soft vinyl, the 4.5″ tall piece has been treated to a minimal mix of light white accents and dark blue masked sprays. Priced at just £30, the limited edition figures will be up for grabs alongside a number of other soon-to-be-announced pieces at the Comet Debris booth (#38) on Saturday, April 25th… Look out for more reveals – including a batch of marbled glow/blue Suns of Broadarr and red glitter Electric Boys – soon!

MAN-E-NEWS// The “JunKing” sofubi protos from Imps and Monsters revealed…

Justin Hillgrove aka Imps and Monsters has been hard at work gearing up for his latest sofubi release, the “JunKing” totem-style set! Still in the early stages at present, it would appear that the series is loosely based on the new Imp Lands card game of the same name (currently on Kickstarter right here), featuring a number of familiar animals, riders and artifacts that can be stacked in pairs or altogether in a similar way to Tim Clarke’s Totims. Due to be produced by Rampage Toys‘ Jon Malmstedt (TBC) – the guy responsible for Justin’s first sofubi release, the Manotaur – be sure to keep a close eye on the Imps and Monsters Instagram feed here for more info on the project soon…

Having debuted to instant sell-out success just a few weeks back, the awesome “Trash Wizard” resin action figure from Joseph Harmon is set to return this week in an all-new Toy Art Gallery exclusive colorway! Standing at around 3.75” tall and coming with 2 points of articulation, the originally sculpted piece has been produced in a blueish-green resin and hand painted in a mix of dark blue, black and red acrylics. Limited to an edition of just 5 figures this time around – each coming blister mounted on a card backer alongside a “unique” piece of trash – the Trash Wizards will be touching down in the TAG store this Wednesday, April 15th at Noon Pacific time for just $50 a pop…

Having taken a break for the past few months to make way for a whole slew of new figures, Barry Allen aka Gorgoloid is proud to reveal that the trusty Kaiju Rhaal is finally back for it’s sixth official instalment! Standing at around 5″ of solid cast resin, the folklore/neo kaiju inspired beast has once again been limited to 4 one-off pieces, each coming colored in a multitude of marbled Monster Kolor dyes and finished with a mix of sprays and hand brushed detailing. Look out for the figures in the Gorgoloid store this Wednesday, April 15th at 6pm Pacific time, priced at just $80 each plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Super7 x Secret Base x Steve Caballero “CabDragon” test-pulls revealed…

Originally teased right here way back in October of last year, legendary skater Steve Caballero‘s collaboration with Super7 and Secret Base – the CabDragon – has finally been revealed in test-pull form! Loosely based on Cab’s legendary “Enter the Dragon” skate graphic first seen in the late 80’s (check it out here), the 4.5″ tall figure draws inspiration from Super7’s recent Astro-Mu 5 reboot, featuring the same “legs closed, arms up” pose as well as a fully removable dragon mask hiding a rendition of the skater’s head underneath. Due to be making it’s debut at SDCC in a couple of months time, be sure to stay tuned for the full lowdown on this awesome team-up soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// MVH x Blood Guts Toys’ “Cyclops” Shikabane Kaiju announced…

Following the success of the “Freddy/Patient Zero” Shikabane Kaiju micro-run back in August of last year, Mutant Vinyl Hardcore‘s Rich Montanari Jr has revealed that he’ll be teaming up with Blood Guts Toys once again for an all-new “Cyclops” Shikabane head sculpt! Pictured here in the early stages of clay prototyping, the stunning oversized design borrows a number of elements from previous MVH releases, including long time favourites Ollie and the DX Sludge Demon. Due to feature a ton of other design elements and refinements before completion – including ears, a horn and spiked collar – be sure to keep a close eye on the MVH Instagram feed here for more on this already must-have figure soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// New “Bedtime Bunnie Danglers” and “Sleeptime Bunnies” from Peter Kato…

In between a whole heap of soon-to-be-revealed collaborative and commission-based projects, NY-based resin artist Peter Kato has managed to squeeze in some time to work on a couple of limited “Bunnie” runs that’ll be dropping later this week! First up, we have the “Mixed Assortment” Bedtime Bunnie Danglers. Produced in a mix of soft yellow, blue, lavender and pink resin, each 2.5″ tall figure has been fitted with a hook attachment on the head for hanging display. Limited to an edition of 40 – 10 in each colorway – the little danglers will come bagged and tagged for just $15 each… Next, we have the latest colorway of the ever-popular Sleeptime Bunnies. Hand cast in a light lavender colored resin, each sub 1″ tall micro has been treated to neon pink painted detailing. Packed in custom hand stamped box, the limited run of just 10 “Lavender” bunnies will be touching down alongside the Danglers in the Peter Kato store this Thursday, April 16th at 8pm Eastern time for just $12 each…

Longtime partners Itokin Park and Mirock Toy have joined forces once more for the launch of their first joint toy brand, Palette Toy! Kicking things off with a bang, the guys will be debuting with the latest release of their collaborative figure “Rocket Boy” (ロケットボーイ詳細). Based on the works of famed Manga artist Shigeru Sugiura, the officially licensed, vintage-styled sofubi has been sculpted by Mirock, coming in at around 9″ tall and featuring 4 points of articulation. Originally seeing a limited release at Wonderfestival Winter ’15 a few weeks back, this edition has been produced in a flesh tone vinyl, featuring a mix of white, black, yellow, metallic purple and blue masked and free sprays courtesy of Itokin Park. Packed with a Daru-Chan car omake for just $80 plus shipping, Rocket Boy will be available via e-mail lottery starting this Wednesday, April 15th until Sunday, April 19th. We don’t seem to feature too many privately commissioned customs on Man-E-Toys these days, but upon seeing the latest work from Japanese artists Le Kuo and Gusion M, we simply couldn’t resist… presenting their incredible “Freddy Krueger” Longneck Moon Maijin! Garnering a huge amount of attention recently for their miniaturised apparel-based customs, the pair’s latest, Nightmare on Elm Street-inspired piece follows a similar approach, featuring a hand sewn red and black striped jumper, spiked glove and leather fedora over the top of a gore-soaked flesh and black paint app. Whilst unfortunately already in the hands of one seriously lucky collector, anyone interested in bagging a similar piece can hit the guys up at vicious0310@gmail.com with their enquiries…
