MAN-E-NEWS// Elegab’s “Tatsumakira” sofubi at the Osaka Soft Expo…

Elegab has just revealed that his latest kaiju creation, the natural disaster monster “Tatsumakira” will be making it’s debut at the Osaka Soft Expo this weekend! Consisting of lightning bolts for arms, legs resembling tidal waves and a tornado torso/head – complete with awesome flying cow and hose detailing – the 8” tall figure has been produced in a red soft vinyl for this first release, coming complete with Elegab’s signature mix of classic metallic sprays. Up for grabs at Elegab’s Osaka Soft Expo booth this Sunday, March 22nd for just 8,000yen ($66), we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that the beast makes an reappearance in the next round of Elegab lottery sales later this month…  But that’s not all! Joining Tatsumakira, Elegab will also be unleashing his latest batch of finger puppets at the event, the Kai Ju Boys! Consisting of 2 different designs this time around, the 2.5”-3” tall figures will be up for grabs blind-bag style at just 500yen ($4) each, with a total of 3 different colorways of each to collect. Here’s hoping we see more of the little guys soon!

  Bob Conge aka Plaseebo is proud to introduce the third figure in his ongoing line of vinyl Night Gamer customs inspired by Hell Raiser, taking on our favourite Coenobite from the cult horror flick – the Chatterer – to horrifying effect!  A one of a kind custom fitted with mangey black hair, inset hand cast resin teeth, fish hooks and an internal motion activated color-changing LED unit with replaceable batteries, the gruesome soft vinyl figure comes signed and numbered by the artist. Touching down in the Plaseebo webshop next Wednesday, March 25th, pricing for the piece is still to be confirmed, although we’re guessing it’ll marked up somewhere between the previous releases at $550-$750 plus shipping…

Teased here just yesterday, we can now reveal that Healeymade’s latest entry into the world of Muscle/Mask – christened the “Mortician” – will be touching down in his store later this week! Painstakingly kit-bashed using the Kinkotsuman M.U.S.C.L.E figure alongside an undisclosed M.A.S.K design, the 2” piece has been produced in a metallic purple resin – not the keshi-gomu flesh previously featured – for this debut release. Likely to be priced at around $10-$15 plus shipping, the Mortician will be making his way into the Healeymade store at some point this Thursday, March 19th. Keep a close eye on the Healeymade Instagram feed here for exact release details later on today…

Joining the previously featured Oozeballs (check them out here), Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has just revealed 2 more releases for the upcoming Osaka Soft Expo, the “Camo Poo Toss” Rotten-X and “Tropical Attire” Salary UU sofubi sets! Produced in a green soft vinyl, the 9” tall Rotten-X’s have been treated to a stunning mix of brown and flesh camp-style sprays complete with matching Shitman sofubi mini, whilst the slightly shorter Salary UU’s have been produced in a flesh vinyl this go around, complete with striking “Hawaii” style sprays with contrasting Shaggy Little Unicorn omake. MAN-E-NEWS// Miscreation Toys’ “1939” edition Iron Monster sofubi revealed…

Hot on the heels of last week’s “Fritz” release with MVH, Jeremi Rimel over at Miscreation Toys is proud to reveal the next painted run of his Iron Monster sofubi, the “1939” edition! Inspired by Dr Zorka’s robot in the 1939 scifi/ horror B-movie serial “The Phantom Creeps”, the towering 15″ figure was designed by Rimel, digitally sculpted by iamscumbag and produced in Japan courtesy of Grody Shogun. Cast in a grey vinyl and treated to a subtle mix of black and silver sprays that mimic the look of the classic b/w show, the “1939” Iron Monster will be touching down in the Miscreation Toys store at some point on Friday, March 27th for an undisclosed sum. The mighty Skinner has just revealed that he will have an all-new run of his Morgogg and Ogos sofubi up for grabs later this week! Designed by Skinner with sculpting duties taken care of by the hugely talented David Arshawsky– the original sculptor of the ’88 TMNT line and Skinner’s recent Lurker minis – the pair stand at around 13″ tall and feature 6 points of articulation, each coming complete with different head sculpts and matching club accessories. Produced in a black soft vinyl with multiple layers of gold, pink and metallic green sprays, the figures – limited to just 10 of each – are set to come packed with an “epic” header card and exclusive 8” x 10” giclee print for just $250 each. To make things even more interesting, Skinner has stated that the first person to order either figure will receive a blank unpainted version completely free- so be sure to set your alarms for the Noon Pacific drop time in the Critical Hit store this Friday, March 20th to be in with a chance of bagging these insane freebies!

Heeding to the many requests from fans, Super7 and Secret Base have teamed up for the creation of a new specimen of Xenomorph, proudly presenting the “Green Slime” Alien soft vinyl figure!  Collaboratively produced by the pair, the 4.5″ tall figure has been designed and sculpted to look like a classic Poppy sofubi mini, this time around coming in a gorgeous trans-green vinyl with a black paint rub. John Santagada over at Radioactive Uppercut is proud to announce that plans are being made for a super-limited painted run of 8-Ball sofubi from Charles Marsh aka Monsterforge! Teased as finished clay protos just last week, Awesome Toy’s FAKE BARON sofubi minis have finally been revealed in-full and are now up for grabs exclusively through Toy Underground! Featuring a total of 4 different designs inspired by a collection of pachi (bootleg) Red Baron menko cards (from left to right); a finger puppet, SD (super deformed) mini, pendant-style mini and a standard 2-part design, the quartet have all been produced in the same bright red vinyl as the original FAKE BARON release, coming complete with both yellow and silver sprayed detailing. Currently up for grabs at Toy Underground priced between just $15-$30 each, the set of all 4 figures can also be found for a wallet friendly $90- a $10 discount over buying them individually!

Recently spotted nestled in the middle of group shot above, Healeymade has revealed that an all-new Muscle/Mask mini figure is set to drop soon! Painstakingly kit-bashed using the Kinkotsuman M.U.S.C.L.E figure alongside an undisclosed M.A.S.K design, the 2” piece has been produced here in an authentic keshi-gomu style flesh toned resin. Whilst we’re still unsure of when or how the little guy will be released, you can be sure that as soon as we find out, you guys will be the first in the know…

MAN-E-NEWS// The big scale “Beastman Omega” sofubi from Dream Rocket x GEEK!..

Previously released as a 3.5” mini through One-Up, Dream Rocket’s awesome Beastman Omega sofubi has been blown up for a big scale release just in time for the Osaka Soft Expo! Co-produced alongside GEEK!, the gargantuan figure stands nearly 4 times the size of the original at 12” tall, now coming with articulation in both the arms and legs. Produced in a flesh soft vinyl with dark teal, brown and light silver sprays, the first version of the new Beastman Omega will be up for grabs at the Dream Rocket OSE booth on Sunday, March 22nd for 20,000yen ($165). Here’s hoping we see an online release in the near future!

October Toys are seeing in Spring in style this month, as they proudly present the third round of OTMFG offerings for 2015! Once again seeing the return of the Matt Doughty/Lamour Supreme designed Zombie Pheyden, this time around in a “Tarred” black-orange thermal PVC, the 2″ undead Glyos is joined by a bright orange Mini Gwin, a 1″ reinterpretation of Linux logo mascot “Tux”, created by Larry Ewing/The GIMP and sculpted by OT’s George Gaspar. Both priced at just $2 a piece and limited to just 5 of each per customer, the pair are currently available in the October Toys store right here

Nigo over at Blackbook Toy is proud to reveal that Ron English’s Mousemask Murphy in Airplane sofubi is set to make a comeback this week in a special “Camo” colorway! Designed by English and sculpted by Knuckle-san of Little Chop Design, the 6.5” tall figure appears to be produced in an olive colored soft vinyl this time around, coming with a mix of camo free sprays, masked matt black detailing and transfers on the wings (not pictured). Due to touch down in limited quantities in the Blackbook Toy store this coming Wednesday, March 18th at 11pm Eastern time, expect to pay around $125 plus shipping for the piece…

MAN-E-NEWS// Scumbags and Superstars’ “Bart Spray” figure prototype revealed…

Riding on the success of their awesome bootleg “Bart Spray” enamel pin (pictured below), the guys over at apparel brand Scumbags and Superstars have revealed that they’ll be following up the release with a fully-fledged resin toy rendition! Originally sculpted by an undisclosed artist, the figure has been realised in the same scale as the original Playmates Simpsons line, coming in at around 3.5” tall and featuring articulation in the neck and shoulders. Due to be produced in resin with a paint scheme that perfectly matches the pin’s yellow, black and white, the Bart Spray figure is set to receive a super-limited, blister carded release in the very near future.
