BlackBook Toy have just revealed that they’re teaming up with pop artist Ron English for an all-new take on Ronald McDonald for their latest sofubi, Evil Mc! Based on the reoccurring character seen in many of English’s paintings, the sinister-looking fast food anti-mascot has been realised in 3D by the talented Chop over at Monster Farm. With the figure now currently in the wax prototyping stage – the finished head cast pictured above – we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for the first release sometime in early 2015. Shimomoku over at Japanese toy retailer and producer Jungle has just revealed that a whole swathe of new releases will be touching down online this weekend! Featuring the return of Lampu in a clear soft vinyl, the Skulltula Skeleton Warrior in GID, plus a restock of all-new figure Beta in both lavender and light green, these are to be joined by the latest painted release of Moguming; coming in a selection of one-off mixed part configurations with minimal silver and gold masked sprays. Going on sale in the Jungle store this Sunday, December 14th at 1pm Japan time, pricing on the figures is still to be confirmed, but we’re guessing they’ll be available for around 1,800yen ($15) to 2,500yen ($21) each plus shipping…

As 2014 comes to an end, Rich over at Mutant Vinyl Hardcore has decided to finish up strong with one last monster from the depths, proud presenting the “Toxic Goldfish” Toxigon! Produced in a bright orange soft vinyl, the lumbering beast has been treated to a paint app that pays homage to the vintage toys of yesteryear, coming with a minimal selection of burgundy, gold silver and black sprays that highlight the stunning figure’s many textures and folds. Coming complete with a “fish stick” omake/weapon, sticker and pin – sadly no Mackrel Mouth this time around – the limited run of 25 signed and numbered figures have been priced at $200 each plus shipping. Paul Bass over at Monster Island is proud to reveal that he’s teamed up with Kalaka Toys and Grizzli Atom for the release of his latest resin figure, E-ball-A! Designed by Kalaka’s Matias, sculpted by Grizzli and produced by Paul, the awesome Madballs inspired piece stands at around 7″ tall, coming complete with articulation in both the arms and head. Due for it’s first fully painted release soon, expect the full lowdown on the figure as soon as we hear anything… But that’s not all! On top of E-ball-A, Monster Island have confirmed that they have recently taken over control of production and distribution of Kalaka products, so as well as securing new projects such as the upcoming collaborative Shit Ballz – more on those soon – they will also be revisiting past releases for those that missed out the first time! Similar to the other figures in the series, theKaneko Yowohei sculpted mini stands at just under 2.5″ tall, coming in a selection of 5 different blind-bagged soft vinyl colorways. Having dabbled with sofubi through contributions to Rampage Toys’ Gachapon Goblin series, illustrator Joseph Harmon has just revealed a work-in-progress prototype of his first full-scale figure, Vampirass! Whilst details on the piece are still thin on the ground, the released image suggests that the bikini clad vamp will stand upwards of 6″ tall, coming with articulation in legs, hips and arms. Presumably due to be produced through Toy Art Gallery in the new year (TBC), we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for more info on this super-fun figure soon…

Previewed here a few weeks back, Tyler Ham aka HamFX‘s super space traveller Starman is now up for grabs alongside an all-new rendition of half man, half piranha, Amazon! Taken from cult NES game PRO WRESTLING, the pair of digital brawlers have been faithfully recreated by Tyler in 3.75″ action figure form – albeit unarticulated – coming 3D printed in full color with a hand painted clear coat finish. Double blister packed on an oversized, vintage wrestling poster inspired backer card, the set can currently be found in the HamFX store via preorder for just $80 plus shipping. Peter Kato is planning on ramping up the festivities this week as he proudly announces his special Holiday Sale! Bedtime Bunnies Ornaments- A completely re-sculpted, hanging foot interpretation of the ever popular Bedtime Bunnies, the little guy comes in at around 2.25″ tall, featuring a loop-screw on the head with a metallic wire ornament hook. Limited to 20 in a mix of white and pink resin, these will be up for grabs at just $20 each… A bunny is not just for Christmas though! Luckily we can expect to see this sculpt again in the near future as part of Peter’s new range of danglers and keychain figures.
Sleeptime Bunnies Holiday Colors- The tiny little Sleeptime Bunnies return for a festive Holiday round of colors! Limited to a batch of 35 this time around, the adorable micros have been produced in a blind-assorted mix of white, light green and pink resin with hand painted detailing. Pricing on these is still to be confirmed, but we’re guessing they’ll be available for around $12 each.
Bedtime Bunnies Holiday Polka Dots- Last from Peter comes the latest round of ever popular Bedtime Bunnies. Produced in a mix of red, pink, green and clear purple resin, each has been treated to a round of hand painted white polka dots. Limited to 10 in the 3″ medium size and 20 in the 2.5″ small, these have been priced at just $20 and $12 respectively.
Kevin Nam’s Big Top- Having interned with Peter over a 7 month period last year – picking up the ins and outs on hand sculpting, mold making, resin casting, dremeling and beyond – up and coming artist Kevin Nam was tasked with creating an original resin toy as his final project, the result being the awesome Big Top ‘bot you see above! Standing at a chunky 2.5″ tall x 2.5″ wide, the fully working, hand sculpted spinning top features an ingenious “rock, paper, scissors” style mechanic, with each of the robots hands (clenched, outstretched and 2 fingers up) representing the game’s 3 choices. Produced by Kevin in 3 different colorways for this debut release- “Red”, limited to 5, “Green”, again limited to 5 and “Marble Red/White/Green”, limited to just 2 – each comes packed with a clear stand for display for just $30 each. Here’s hoping Big Top is the first toy of many we see from Kevin!

Up and coming toy customiser Videov0mit has just unveiled the prototype for his debut sofubi, CZERNOBOG! Designed by Videov0mit and digitally sculpted by iamscumbag, the towering 9″ of sub-aquatic terror cherry picks choice elements from both classic kaiju and cult horror, featuring 4 tentacle-like arms, a finned robotic torso, skull chest piece and a creepy, teeth clenched, shark-like head. Having had a huge amount of success with his debut sofubi, the Evil Demon, Shigeo Endo over at Bukimi Blasters has wasted no time in getting to work on a follow-up, the super-gross Bukimi Kun! Whilst details on the figure are still forthcoming, it would appear that it will be considerably smaller than the Evil Demon, featuring a unique, worm-like 3 part design.
