MAN-E-NEWS// Blurble’s Sparrow 2.0 rubber figure for the “Funds For Seth” charity auction…

Blurble has just revealed that his long awaited follow-up to Sparrow will be making it’s debut as part of the “Funds For Seth” charity auction tomorrow! A jumbo-sized, 6″ tall rendition of the original 3.5″ resin mini figure, Sparrow 2.0 has once again been digitally sculpted by iamscumbag, coming complete with 2 fully interchangeable heads, 3 points of articulation, a fully working skateboard accessory plus an extra hat for good measure. Produced by Dubose Art in an unpainted flesh tone rubber, the one-off figure will be up for grabs alongside a whole host of donated toys, paintings and prints through the dedicated Funds For Seth Instagram page starting at 9pm Pacific time this Friday, November 28th. MAN-E-NEWS// DeathCat Toys’ Oni Mira sofubi prototype revealed…

Hot on the heals of their recent Kaibutsu Series run – of which a couple of sets can still be found right here – DeathCat Toys have once again teamed up with KtoKto for an all-new finger puppet style release, Oni Mira! Conceived by DeathCat’s Johan Ulrich and sculpted by KtoKto, the demonic mummy has been heavily inspired by Bikkuriman and the classic Ma-Ba Zombies toy line, sculpted in-scale at around 3″ tall and coming with a split torso, capped bottom design. To be joined by another, as yet unrevealed character, the pair are due to touch down in soft vinyl at some time early next year. Stay tuned for more news as we get it…

Standing at around 8″ tall and coming with 3 points of articulation, the anthropomorphic beast has once agaoin been produced in BLObPUS’ signature GID soft vinyl, coming with a multitude of neon/metallic sprays over a detail hugging black rub. Medicom Toy have secured yet another exclusive release from Max Toy Co, the “Fluorescent” Yuninko set! Taken from Max Toy’s latest wave of “Monster Boogie” sofubi minis, the adorable My Little Pony-inspired centaur has been sculpted by PicoPico, standing at a little under 4″ tall and coming complete with articulation in the neck. To be released as a set of 3 produced in a mix of bright yellow, green and pink soft vinyl, the trio each come with an array of contrasting masked spray work and hand painted detailing. Due to touch down on the Medicom Toy store right here on Sunday, December 7th, the “Fluorescent” Yuninkos will set you back just 5,000yen ($43) plus shipping. Medicom Toy have teamed up with artist Mee Mie for a sofubi version of Ooze-It/Cosmos Alien tribute, Emerian! Originally debuting as a self-produced resin mini figure at Design Fiesta 39 back in May (check him here), the little guy has now received an official license from Cosmos, releasing in a choice of 5 soft vinyl colorways as part of Medicom’s new Vinyl Artist Gacha (VAG) Series 1. Touching down at Village Vangard alongside 26 other Japan-based retailers on December 13th for a super-cheap 463yen ($4) each, overseas customers are going to need to get in contact with forwarding service M-World at m-world-service@dream.jp to be in with a chance of securing these awesome minis…

Having garnered a huge amount of attention through his constant flow of work on Instagram, custom resin artist Dollar Slice Bootlegs has bowed to the request of fans by finally getting around to opening an online store! Kicking proceedings off with a bang, DSB has teamed up with fellow artist EYEONE for a painted micro-run of “Slaughterhouse” Slaughterbots. Kit-bashed from a variety of vintage action figures and recast in a selection of one-off resin finishes, DSB’s signature figure has been limited to a batch of just 4 this time around, each coming with various unique sprays and hand painted details courtesy of EYEONE. Packed with a custom header from DSB, the latest round of Slaughterbots can be found alongside a slew of other figures in the newly opened store, coming in at just $60 each plus shipping…

As promised in our coverage last week, we can now finally reveal release details for Skinner’s latest sofubi, Morgogg “The Whispering Prince” and Ogos “Eye of the World”! Taking on a more traditional kaiju aesthetic than both Lolgolth Gnazgoroth and the recently revealed Sextopigon, the pair blend elements of 80’s nostalgia, giant monster cinema energy, and mythology to devastating effect. Designed by Skinner with sculpting duties once again handed over to the hugely talented David Arshawsky– the original sculptor of the ’88 TMNT line and Skinner’s recent Lurker minis – both figures stand at around 13″ tall and feature 6 points of articulation, each coming complete with different head sculpts and matching club accessories. Produced in an unpainted “Gamma Ray” green soft vinyl by none other than Velocitron in Japan, the pair are due to touch down in the Critical Hit store this Friday, November 28th at Noon Pacific for $175 each or just $300 for the set.

Artist Jesse Narens is turning to crowd-funding site IndieGoGo to aid with the production of his latest sofubi creations, the Mossy Kappa and Stego-Rider! A follow-up to the artist’s popular Stegoforest and Acorn Warrior, the pair have been sculpted by Beth Graves under Jesse’s supervision; the Mossy Kappa created as another standalone piece, whilst the Stego-Rider coming scaled and posed to perch on top of Stegoforest. With backing for the S.U.C.K.L.E Series 2 Kickstarter now a little over 60%, the guys over at DKE Toys have decided to give the project a little push by adding an eleventh figure to the already bulging line-up… Frank Kozik‘s Krono Pussy! Originally released as a 3.75″ custom bootleg as part of The Sucklord‘s Super Suck Up! 2 show last November, this new 2″ tall mini figure rendition has been created in much the same way, featuring a kit-bashed Sucklord 75 with an originally sculpted octopus head. Available to all backers that pledge a minimum of $45 – the price of the Kickstarter Exclusive Set – each will be guaranteed to receive a copy of the figure in both GID and the standard flesh-tone. As a cheeky reminder that our Oozeball sofubi preorder will be closing at 9pm London time tomorrow (11/24), we thought we’d share some images of this gorgeous custom paint job from none other than GUUMON! Utilising the recent resin prototype version – of which just 1 remains in-store right here – the artist has treated the 3″ diameter Madball-style figure to his signature “Titanium” paint app, coming with a silver base layered with an array of stunning clear blue, purple, green and yellow sprays. Whilst this one-off will unfortunately be staying in the GUUMON private collection for the foreseeable future, we’ll be working alongside the artist for a special release in the new year- stay tuned for more news soon!

Recurring persona of legendary rapper Kool Keith, the extraterrestrial time traveling gynecologist from the planet Jupiter has been digitally sculpted by Co Kreeate based on the illustration used for the artist’s debut solo album cover – Dr. Octagonecologyst – coming cast in solid resin and hand painted by Blockheads. Standing at approximately 6.5″ tall and coming with articulation in the neck, the soft vinyl “alley cat of Kaijuland” has been adorned with a mix of eye catching orange, yellow and purple sprays courtesy of Plaseebo, finishing with swirled glass inset eyes, white resin cast fangs and an internal motion activated color-changing LED unit with replaceable batteries.
