Joining the selection of figures we posted here just yesterday, artist Cherri Polly has just unveiled yet another piece that will be featuring in tomorrow’s sale, the “Evil” Nenne sofubi! Standing at just under 4″ tall and coming with 2 points of articulation, the adorable feline has been produced in a light lavender soft vinyl with a sleek “Maziora” paint app that changes from sparkling green to purple in the light. Available alongside the previously mentioned figures in the Cherri shop this Friday (11/14), “Evil” Nenne has been priced at just $90 plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// KtoKto’s Monster Series: Wave 2 sofubi minis revealed…

With his first round of “Monster” sofubi minis already proving to be a huge success, Japanese artist KtoKto has just revealed that a second wave is about to head into production! Inspired by a mix of both classic monster designs and 80s Japanese horror toys – including the iconic MaBa Zombies – this second batch once again features a total of 3 different designs; a quad-eyed werewolf, a creature from the Black Lagoon and a de-tombed mummy, each sculpted in the classic finger puppet style and due to be produced in an uncapped soft vinyl. Pictured here as finished wax prototypes, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a debut release before the year is out…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Dol Roffo “Jellyfish Dokugan” and more from BLObPUS…

BLObPUS has teamed up with amigurumi (knitting) artist Dol Roffo for his latest release, the Jellyfish Dokugans! Coming cast in a glow-in-the-dark soft vinyl, the mid-sized kaiju has been treated to subtle pink and blue sprays from BLObPUS, coming complete with a stunning crocheted “jellyfish” head pieces from Roffo. Currently up for grabs via lottery through the BLObPUS blog here priced at 10,500yen each plus shipping, interested parties are going to need to send their name, country, address, telephone number and PayPal address to shopping@blobpus.jp to be in with a chance of bagging the stunning piece…

But that’s not all! On top of the Jellyfish Dokugan, BLObPUS is also offering up a total of 7 different one-offs via lottery too. Featuring a Bogura, Doblar, Ollie Enma, Gori Sludge Demon, plus 3 Alien Argus’, prices range from just 12,000yen ($104) for Bogura right up to 35,000yen ($303) for the Ollie. With their “Aggar” Altered Beast sofubi now seeing 2 sell-out colorways, the guys behind retro apparel brand Geek Life have finally unleashed the second figure in the officially licensed Sega Retro Game Sofbi Collection- the “Mammoth” enemy from 1985 shooter Space Harrier! A near-perfect rendition of the iconic cycloptic mammal in soft vinyl, the Yamada Masami sculpted figure stands at just under 10″, coming with articulation in all 4 legs and both tusks. Debuting in an “OG” brown vinyl complete with dark brown, ivory and black sprays, the figure is currently available to Japanese customers through the Geek Life store, whilst overseas preorders can be placed through BlackBook Toy right here for just 9,720yen ($84) until Thursday, December 4th…

Hot off the heals of the recent post-NYCC release, Aaron over at Uh-Oh Toys is proud to reveal that remainder of his DCon exclusive Errants are now available in-store too! Consisting of 3 2.5″ tall designs; a scientist owl, a cowboy bull and a space faring lizard, the adorable 2 part sofubi micros are up for grabs in 2 different colorways this time around; an “Antiqued”, coming cast in a clear vinyl with a simple black rub, and “Tinsel”, also in a clear vinyl, this time with pink sprays and glittery tinsel inserts. Limited to just 5 of each, the latest round of Errants can be found right here for just $35 per set plus shipping…

Having seen 2 limited releases over the past few months, the officially licensed Alien sofubi from Super7 is set to return for an open “glow-in-the-dark” edition this weekend! Collaboratively produced alongside Secret Base, the 4.5″ tall figure has been designed and sculpted to look like a classic Poppy sofubi mini, this time around cast in a GID soft vinyl with black rub and clear dome. Available through the Super7 store via open-preorder from Saturday, November 15th at Noon PST until Sunday, November 30th at Midnight PST, the “GID” Alien has been priced at $50 plus shipping…

The guys over at Monster Kolor have just secured another blank exclusive for all you customisers out there, the “Flesh” Yamobazooka from Yamomark! Standing at around 9″ tall and coming with 4 points of articulation, the figure has been produced in – you guessed it – an unpainted flesh-toned soft vinyl this time around. Currently available in limited quantities in the Monster Kolor store right here, Yamobazooka wil set you back just $75 plus shipping…

The guys over at apparel brand Scumbags & Superstars have teamed up with MechaVirus for a special micro-run of custom “Glitter” Skull Chiefs! Standing at around 4″ tall (a little larger than a baseball), the mascot head figures have been cast in a silver glitter filled soft vinyl this time around, each coming with a multitude of unique metallic sprays, custom “mecha” head sets and glass eye inserts. Limited to a run of just 4 pieces, the “Glitter” Skull Chiefs can be found in the S&S store right here for $85 each plus shipping…

Having returned safely from Designer Con over the weekend, Jeremi Rimel of Miscreation Toys has just uploaded his store with a huge selection of leftovers! Featuring unpainted marbled micro-runs of Gergle and the Zombie Staple Baby in both “Candy Corn Puke” and “Fallout” colorways, as well as the previously posted banana yellow Zombie GMO Baby, these have been joined by a number of HP runs and one-off customs from Jeremi himself, Joe Whiteford and wife Nicole Rimel – of which her follow up to her TAG “Crawling Dead” Ice Cream custom can be seen above. With prices ranging from $125 to $350, fans of the creepy infants can check out exactly what’s on offer right here…

MAN-E-NEWS// New Nenne, Maman and Nezumi sofubi from Cherri Polly…

Up and coming sofubi artist Cherri Polly have just revealed that they’ll be filling their online store with a whole host of new goodies later this Friday, November 14th! Featuring 2 new versions of mini cat and mouse duo Maman and Nezumi; a “Tortoiseshell/Golden”, coming with orange and black sprays on white vinyl for $70, and “Aquarium”, cast in a clear blue vinyl with an acetate insert and silver detailing for $80, these have been joined by an unpainted “Rainbow” gacha release of Nenne priced at just $18 a piece. On top of all these, Cherri will also be offering up the latest painted micro-run of Nenne too (above), with this “Tropical Banana” edition coming cast in a bright yellow vinyl complete with black, brown and orange sprays for $90. Unfortunately an exact release time is still to be confirmed, so we suggest that interested parties keep a close eye on the store throughout Friday to avoid disappointment!

Having seen numerous setbacks since their first reveal back in early 2012, Jon Karris over at Little Rubber Guys is very pleased to announce that the first production run of Rise of the Beasts will finally available to the general public this weekend! Inspired by the classic Battle Beast mini figures, these bang-up-to-date renditions stand at just under 2.5″ each, coming complete with 5 points of articulation. Kicking proceeding off with 2 different designs, Rhino and Scorpion, the pair are due to be offered up with 4 different colorways up for grabs; a Metallic Black/Grey painted version for $7, plus unpainted Flesh, Gold and Metallic Black for just $4 each. Look out for the little guys in the LRG store at somepoint this Saturday, November 15th…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “BogBat” Ultrus Bog sofubi from Skinner…

As if news of the Lulubell Toys sale wasn’t enough, Skinner has revealed that he will also be dropping his remaining Designer Con 2014 exclusives in the Critical Hit store at Noon PST today (11/11)! Whilst we’re still unsure as to exactly what will be on offer – we’re hoping for a Morgogg or two ourselves – we can confirm that there will be at least a few of the pictured “BogBat” Ultrus Bogs up for grabs. Produced in a classic Batman grey soft vinyl with a mix of both gloss and matt black/yellow sprays, the mischievous anti-heroes will be available at the specified time right here for $150 each plus shipping…

To celebrate the latest chapter in the Mechawhales saga recently going live (check it out in-full below), Hauke Shcheer over at Deep Fried Figures has been hard at work number of new 3D printed additions to the Mechawhale PVC toy line! Featuring new companion figures including the Battle Beast-inspired fan favourite Orca Mechawhale, these have been joined by a selection of kits to customise the existing PVC design. Unable to make it to Designer Con 2014 over the weekend? Then don’t fret, as the guys over at Lulubell Toys now have just loaded up a whole slew of leftovers in their online store! Whilst the complete list is simply too large to list here, highlights we will mention include neon green and pink Lampus for $22 each, a DCon exclusive Multum in Parvo for just $30, various Uamou exclusives such as the “American Dream” Real Uamou for $80, Real Head’s Mago Mohican Troopers for $20 and a total of 5 different Hateball Zinewolfs ranging from $65 – $90 a piece. MAN-E-NEWS// Radioactive Uppercut’s Bite-Size RR sofubi coming soon…

Originally revealed as a finished clay proto way back in December of last year, the second entry into the Radioactive Rumblers series – the undead wolfman known as Bite Size – is now finally nearing the last stages of production! Designed by Radioactive Uppercut‘s John Santagada and sculpted by the ‘titan of the Collectible Toy Industry’, Jean St. Jean Studios, the soft vinyl figure – pictured here in a test-shot white – will make a perfect sparring partner for the previously released 8-Ball, standing at a similar 4″ tall and coming with the same 3 points of articulation… Exact details on the release are still pretty scarce at the moment – John is still currently deciding whether to offer the figure up via pre-order or go down a similar route to 8-Ball with a Kickstarter campaign – but you can guarantee that once details are confirmed, you guys will be amongst the first to know…

MAN-E-NEWS// Max Toy Co’s Mushroom and Ringo Racoon prototypes at Design Fiesta 40…

Joining One-Up and their Kumaboku proto, Max Toy Co were also on-hand at Design Fiesta 40 over the weekend with a couple of new figures ready for production! A follow-up to Teresa Chiba’s Kibunadon, the provisionally titled “Mushroom” (left) is set to become the latest figure to feature in Max Toy’s ongoing “Kaiju Gals” series, with the little guy coming sculpted by Makino based on a design from up and coming artist Kaori Hinata. Joined by the latest Pico Pico-sculpted Max Toy fig – the adorable Ringo Racoon – the pair are said to be “coming soon”, so fingers crossed that means soon rather than later!

MAN-E-NEWS// DeathCat Toys x Dubose Art’s Infected Death Cats teased…

Johan Ulrich over at DeathCat Toys has teamed up with Dubose Art for another round of ever popular Death Cat figures, but this time things are a little different… the poor felines have become infected! Featuring the same standard base design as previous releases, Jonathan over at Dubose Art has set about adding an extra layer of hand sculpted boils, pustules and warts, remoulding the poor plague-ridden moggy and casting him up in a super-bright GID resin. Currently winging their way over to Johan for a lick of paint before release, expect to see the first batch of Infected Death Cats up for grabs in the very near future…

MAN-E-NEWS// Pico Pico’s Kumaboku prototype for One-Up at Design Fiesta 40…

Whilst inevitably there was a huge selection of new toys to buy at Design Fiesta 40 over the weekend, the event also played host to a number of never-before-seen prototypes, the first of which that we’ll be covering coming in the form of this breathtaking new sofubi from One-Up… Kumaboku! Designed and sculpted for the Japanese retailer by Pico Pico, the beautifully realised robo-bear appears to feature a 2 part design – suggesting a small, mini-sized scale – coming complete with stunning cutaway sections that reveal an intricate, Terminator-like aesthetic underneath. Whilst a clear release date still hasn’t been set for the figure yet, the slightly damaged nature of the sculpt would suggest that a mould has probably already been cast from it, meaning the first vinyl pulls shouldn’t be too far off! With Blurble debuting his latest resin figure – The Muckster – at Designer Con 2014 this weekend, collaboration partner SelfishLittle has decided to offer up a micro-run online for those unable to attend the event! Imagined by Blurble, sculpted by SelfishLittle and hand cast by Dubose, these steamy piles of resin stand at around 6″ tall. Limited to an edition of just 3 for this release – each coming with a unique paint app courtesy of SelfishLittle – the Mucksters can be found right here for just $40 each plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// Secretoy’s Cinema Monster test-shot revealed…

Originally revealed as a near finished clay proto back in June, Splurrt‘s debut release under his new Secretoy brand – the Cinema Monster – has just been spotted as a vinyl test shot! On display at the Rampage Toys Design Fiesta 40 booth this weekend, the awesome mid-large size kaiju draws inspiration from the golden age of monster flicks, including Ray Harryhausen’s classic Cyclops and the 2-headed beast that graces the iconic cover of 1968’s Famous Monsters of Filmland yearbook. Hopefully set to make it’s debut before the year is out, be sure to stay tuned for more info on this must-have figure as soon as we hear anything…
