With Designer Con 2014 just a couple of weeks away now, Brian Flynn over at Super7 has begun to tease the new figures that they’ll have up for grabs at the event, starting with the piece you see above! A collaboration between Super7, Secret Base and legendary pro skater Steve Caballero, the figure appears to be loosely based on Cab’s legendary “Enter the Dragon” skate graphic first seen in the late 80’s (check it out here). Presumably to be revealed in full closer to the event, be sure to stay tuned for more news on this intriguing collaboration as soon as we hear anything…

Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has just revealed a whole slew of figures he’ll be releasing in-store this Friday, October 31st as part of the huge Rampage Halloween sale! Featuring a number of leftover items from NYCC including the RT x Yamomark Cosmegira, NYCC Cadaver Kids and Lab Mice, these will also be joined by a ton of new items too, with highlights including the pictured assorted tank-micros and sets, blank green Lab Mice, GG micro 2-3 packs, plus the latest Ugly Unicorn run in a clear pink soft vinyl! Bob Conge aka Plaseebo is proud to reveal that his unique blend of Americana and kaiju is set to feature at DCon this year for the very first time! Joining forces with Mechavirus at the Gorgoloid booth (#933), we bring you a quick rundown of the various one-off customs that the legendary artist will have on offer…

Spotted Mega Warui Neko// A one of a kind, 8″ tall custom mash up with Kaiju Coup based on the Warui Neko and Molezilla platforms, the figure comes complete with swirled glass eyes, resin fangs and a motion activated color changing LED unit. Sprayed in a mix of red, yellow and brown Monster Kolor paints, the piece comes signed and dated by Plaseebo.

Blue Eyed Skullo Tank// Mashing up Max Toy Co’s Kaiju Tank with a Plaseebo Skullo resin head, the piece stands at around 4″x4″, coming with a number of rusty, weathered washes, sprays and hand painted detailing. Once again, the figure comes signed and dated by the artist.

Robo Kong Fighter// Featuring the tank turret from Max Toy Co’s Kaiju Tank as well as the body of RealxHead’s Deep Space Monster, the figure has been treated to army green sprays, coming complete with cloth accessories and a mini dolls eye insert.

Plaseebo Mummy// Last but by no means least, Bob will also be bringing along a one-off custom of his original signature figure, the Mummy. Hand cast in resin, the 7″ tall figure has been given a stunning splattered neon yellow/orange paint job and swirled glass eye inserts. Comes signed and dated (2013) by the artist…

Artist Jesse Narens has partnered with HipHopRobot‘s Mark Bentley for the latest edition of his debut sofubi, Stegoforest! Standing at around 5″ tall and coming with 3 points of articulation, the nature loving dino has been cast in a green vinyl this time around, coming with a plethora of metallic blue, purple, green and black sprays courtesy of Mark. Packed with mini matching Acorn Warrior omake, the limited batch of 5 figures are currently up for grabs by e-mailing Jesse directly at jesse@jessenarens.com. Originally revealed as a finished clay sculpt back way back in December of last year, Alex Gavryushenko over at Brooklyn based toy and apparel brand Psycho Scimitar is proud to reveal that his awesome debut sofubi is fianlly read for production! Entitled “Woebegone Mamilla” (the miserable nipple!) or Woebi for short, the crazy looking aquatic kaiju stands at around 7″-8″ tall, featuring articulation in the neck as well as 3 interchangeable eye accessories. Pictured here as an initial blue and red test shot, the soft vinyl figure is set to release in these colors with both painted and blank variants soon. Frank Kozik has just revealed that he’ll be unleashing a slew of new toys in his store today (10/27) at Noon PST! Joining a set of 6 DC Labbits and the “OG” Clockwork Carrot Dim (featured here), the artist will also have 2 figures up for grabs featuring his highly sought after Hateball sofubi; a sweet “Presentation Set” featuring the large ball variant in clear blue mounted on a matching Iron Cross style resin base, and the latest version of Kozik’s Salary Man figure “Mr Taiji”, coming complete with a small clear blue head, black suit and custom severed dolphin omake. We’ve still no word on pricing or edition size at present, so be sure to keep a close eye on the shop near the drop to avoid disappointment…

Shigeo Endo over at Bukimi Blasters has just revealed that his Evil Demon sofubi will be making it’s next appearance at Designer Con 2014 next month! The first version of the 5.5″ tall figure to feature hand threaded hair, the limited run of 8 (TBC) neo-kaiju have been produced in a light green soft vinyl this time around, each coming complete with unique dark green, yellow, red and silver sprays and hand brushed detailing. Packed in a special set for the release, including a matching severed head omake, 3 Bukimi Blaster stickers and a postcard featuring all 8 designs from the run, pricing and availability for these Hairy Evil Demons are still to be confirmed. Following its debut at NYCC earlier in the month, Luke Rook over at Lulubell Toys has revealed that the Rancid Raptor sofubi is set to return for a special Designer Con 2014 exclusive “Grab Back” bag release! Designed and sculpted by James Groman and produced by Lulubell in Japan, the 2-part, 4″ tall sofubi mini is the first in a series of companion figures for the gigantic Rotten Rexx. Whilst little is known about the release save the above image at present, it would appear that the little guys will be offered up “blind bag” style, coming in a selection of different colors including light green, GID, orange and a super-limited flesh/black marble. Stay tuned for more info on the release closer to the event in just a couple of weeks time!

Koji Harmon over at Comet Debris has just teased images of his latest sofubi, the Electric Boy! Debuting as part of the artist’s recent Halloween Unlucky Bag release – of which small and medium sized bags can still be purchased here – the stunning looking figure appears to have been inspired by classic sofubi and action figure lines including Takara’s Micronauts. Making its first appearance in randomly selected bags cast in the pictured clear electric glitter blue, we’ve been told the piece will be making its official debut in an all-new colorway at Designer Con 2014 next month… Stay tuned for release details soon!

Following Healeymade’s awesome Bounty Wrestlers reveal earlier in the week, the guys over at DKE Toys are proud to reveal another exclusive custom bootleg release they’ll be bringing along to Designer Con 2014 next month, the Cantina Banda from 2bitHACK! The latest entry in the artist’s infamous Mi Empire Loca series, the 3.75″ kit-bashes both vintage Boss Hog and Figrin D’an figures to create a hilarious mariachi themed mash-up of Star Wars’ iconic Cantina band. Hand cast in resin and painted by the artist, each figure comes mounted on a custom Mi Empire Loca cardback, complete with guitarron, accordion and trumpet accessories! Limited to an edition of 30 figures priced at $80 each, the Cantina Banda will be up for grabs at the DKE DCon booth (#126) from November 8th to November 9th. Joining the recently posted P.P. Pudding “Nut Chan”, the guys over at Super7 have teamed up with DKE Toys and Scott Wilkowski for another Halloween-themed release, the Infected Dokuwashi! Standing at around 4″ tall, the spooky spirit totem has been cast in Super7’s signature translucent orange, coming complete with a glow in the dark resin skeleton embedded inside. Available as a made-to-order edition during the week of Halloween, the Infected Dokuwashi will be offered for pre-sale in the S7 store from Monday, October 27th at 12 Noon PST to Midnight on Halloween Night, Friday October 31st, coming in at just $85. With Spiderman marking the first release in Medicom Toy‘s Marvel Retro Sofubi Collection just a couple of months back, the Japanese toy giant returns with Wave 2… featuring none other than Iron Man and Ultron! Based on what appears to be legendary artist John Buscema’s take on the classic characters (he was of course the original creator of Ultron alongside Roy Thomas), the near 10″ tall figures have been sculpted by BearModel with coloring from Monsters Stock Farm. Currently available to Japanese customers through the Medicom store, international customers can find the pair on the Rakuten Global Market right here for just 8,640yen ($80) each plus shipping. Up for grabs until November 30th, shipping is expected in late February 2015…

Singapore-based artist Daniel Yu is proud to reveal that a whole slew of figures have just touched down in his online store! Featuring a number of pieces that originally featured as part of Daniel’s extensive STGCC line-up last month, these have been joined by a number of seasonal, Halloween inspired pieces too. Here’s a quick rundown of the 10 new releases currently on offer…

Taupok King// A 4″ tall hand painted resin piece based on Devilrobots iconic Tofu character, each figure comes complete with individually sculpted maggots by Daniel. Limited to an edition of just 6 pieces, these have been priced at $100 each.

Tofu Head Halloween edition// Once again taking on Devilrobots’ Tofu, this time around as a single head with removable pumpkin, the hand painted resin figure comes in at 2.5″ x 2″ x 2″. Limited to just 4 pieces, these can be yours for just $65 each plus shipping.

Gory Bomb & Bronco Buster “Flesh” edition// Cast in a M.U.S.C.L.E inspired flesh-tone resin, the pair of vintage-styled 5.5″ (6″ in Bronco’s case!) wrestlers feature multiple points of magnetic articulation, each coming bagged with their own unique M.U.S.K.L.E header card. Limited to an edition of just 10 of each, both Gory Bomb and Bronco Buster have been priced at $40.

The hugely popular R. Mortis returns for it’s second blind bag assortment! Standing 3″ tall, the hand sculpted and cast resin piece has been produced in a total of 6 different color variants. Packed in a “blind” foil bag, these little guys have been priced at just $11 a piece.

Metalhead Blind Anarchy// Joining R.Mortis, Daniel’s latest Playmobil-style custom, the gritty Metalhead, has also received the mystery blind bag treatment! Standing at 3″ tall, the hand cast static resin figure comes in 6 different finishes. Again, packed in a “blind” foil bag, these come in at just $11 each.

The Footmen “Neon Tribes” and “Super Set”- One of our favourite releases from Daniel in a while, these awesome custom Playmobil figures takes direct inspiration from the 1989 TMNT cartoon’s Foot Soldier minions – more accurately the Playmate action figure interpretations – featuring the same instantly recognisable hooded ninja design, albeit with Daniel’s super-fine attention to form and texture. Produced in a total of 6 different neon colorways and coming with neo magnet articulation, these 3″ resins are available blind bagged for just $13, or as a 7 piece “Super Set” for $80- coming with an extra “shadow” Footman and retro mutagen canister exclusive to the bundle!

Gourd-like “OG” and “GID”// Rising from the depths, he’s harder than hardcore, he’s Gourd-like! The latest Playmobil-style custom figure from Daniel, the rather festive Gourd-like features the same punk body as Metalhead, albeit with a new Jack ‘O Lantern head. Available in a standard mixed part black/orange for just $13, a GID version with hand painted detailing is also up for grabs at $16…

Taking a quick break from his upcoming resin action figure project (recently featured right here), Miso Mike over at the Omiso Factory has just revealed a follow-up to his hugely popular Cyclonator rings! Adding even more functionality than before, the digitally sculpted and 3D printed design takes on the appearance of a mini gun this time around- coming complete with re-loadable missiles that actually fire! Currently in the prototype stage at present, we’ll be keeping our eye out for more on this intriguing project soon…

Originally a set of one-off custom creations created back in 2009, these ingenious 3.75″ mash-ups of both wrestlers and Star Wars bounty hunters – including IG-88, Bossk and of course, Boba Fett – have been cast in black resin and treated to silver hand painted detailing. Limited to an edition of just 10 sets, each coming packed on a sleek framed blister card.
