Say hello to DarthWok- the cute but oh so evil cousin of UME Toys‘ ever popular GeekWok! Based on the original 3.5″ tall resin figure, this little guy sports a custom sculpted belt and chest plate, light sabre accessory, plus a resin cast helmet modified to allow his ears to pop through. Hand cast and painted by UME’s own Richard Page, the one-off figure will be touching down in-store right here tonight at 9pm London time for £85 plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// Nerdone x DeathCat Toys’ NYCC exclusive GID “Nekos in My Pocket” playset announced…

With the success of the first round of “Nekos in My Pocket” tucked firmly under their belt, Nerdone and Johan of DeathCat Toys have revealed that they’ll be teaming up again for an NYCC exclusive glow in the dark run! Presumably featuring the same template as the original playset release, we’re guessing that a painted glow M.O.T.U.L.O.S sofubi castle will be joined by a pair of DeathCat’s signature mascot keshi in a matching hue. Limited to batch of 20 sets priced at just $80 each, we’ll be keeping an eye out for the drop time and booth location closer to the event in October…

But wait, there’s more! As well as the NIMP playsets, Johan will also be debuting an all-new figure at NYCC too, Meowlty Cat! Currently winging his way to Dubose Art for resin production, the little guy will initially be limited to a run of just 10. Again, expect more info and a full reveal closer to the con!

Yet more news from the Uamou camp this week, as the guys reveal their latest exclusives with Japanese retailer Yamashiroya, the “Galaxy Blue” Chaos Warrior and Bastard mini! Hand-painted by the legendary Goto-san alongside Uamou creator Ayako Takagi, the absolutely stunning pair will be touching down in limited numbers at Yamashiroya’s Ueno Stantion branch today (8/15) for an undisclosed sum. Unfortunately only available to customers of the physical store, those outside the Tokyo area are going to have to call in some big favours quick!

The guys over at October Toys are offering fans a chance to beat the heat with August’s offering of citrusy Summer-inspired OTMFG figures! Seeing the return of the Matt Doughty/Lamour Supreme designed Zombie Pheyden in an eye-catching clear “Lemon”, the 2″ undead Glyos is joined by the latest version of George Gaspar’s curious looking Broctal, coming in at a micro 1.5″ of “Creamsicle” orange coloured PVC. Celebrating his Kid Toxic figure’s recent transition from resin to sofubi, Blurble has just revealed that he will be teaming up with tattoo artist-come-toy customiser Evil Dave for a special micro run! Designed by Blurble, digitally sculpted by iamscumbag and produced by Lulubell Toys in Japan using the finest soft vinyl, the 6″ tall figures will each be treated to Dave’s instantly recognisable mix of layered sprays, mottled brush work and insane one-off illustrations. We’re still awaiting confirmation on edition size, pricing and of course a solid release date, so be sure to keep checking back for the full lowdown on these must-have figures soon…

Joining the recently teased “Pea Shooter Mobile” and “RAMPAGE KAIBUTSUYA” (‘giant monster animal shop’), Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has just revealed yet another 2 figures that’ve hit the wax ready for a debut release at Superfestival next month! Whilst we still can’t confirm what the pair of worshipping natives are for, our guess is that they’ll be offered up as omake minis for the soon to be revealed KAIBUTSUYA figure. Produced in a crystal clear soft vinyl with hand painted yellow and black eyes, the 5″ tall figure has been filled with a bunch of bright, colorful goldfish and summer insects. Standing at around 9″ tall and coming with 5 points of articulation, the officially licensed Red Baron pachi (bootleg) has been produced in the same bright red sofubi as before, this time around coming with a rather more vivid choice of blue and gold sprays. The guys over at Shamrock Arrow have just revealed that they will be resurrecting their first ever sofubi figure, the Street Sharks-inspired “Fang”, for an exclusive colourway at this year’s Amazing Model Expo-Japan! Cast in an ivory/bone coloured soft vinyl, the 3″ tall Ma-Ba Zombie style torso has been treated to a detail hugging black rub complete with hand painted detailing and one-off colour eye inserts. Available at the Shamrock Arrow AMEJ booth this Sunday, August 17th alongside figures from Astro Zombies, Pop Soda and Anookata for around 3,000yen ($29) each… Here’s hoping we finally see a few of these in the West now they’ve made a comeback!

Bob Conge aka Plaseebo has just revealed the latest custom toy to touch down in his store, the adorable Minion Tank! A one of a kind custom mash-up of Max Toy Co‘s soft vinyl Kaiju Tank and a Despicable Me “Phil” Minion figure, the 4.5″ tall piece has been hand sprayed by the artist in a dark teal with contrasting light teal splatters, finished off with white acrylic brushwork and ample rust coloured weathering. Currently available in the Plaseebo store right here, the signed and dated figure can be yours for $375 plus shipping…

Fresh from his first L.U.C.H.A release just a couple of weeks back (check them out here), artist MannyX has just revealed that he’s teamed up with fellow customiser Topheroy for a special run of painted one-offs! Featuring all 4 of the original M.U.S.C.L.E custom bootlegs alongside a whole host of other kit-bashed and re-sculpted minis, the figures have been hand cast by Manny in a variety of swirled clear resin tints, with each due to come with a unique Monster Kolor paint app courtesy of Toph. Originally debuting in an SDCC exclusive GID blue last month, Healeymade has just revealed that his Astro Knight resin figure will finally be available to the masses later this week as part of “Astro Knight Friday”! The latest figure in the artist’s ongoing 3.75 Series, the seamlessly kit-bashed figure has been cast in a futuristic blue-grey resin this time around, complete with minimal black hand painted highlights. Coming packed in a resealable plastic clamshell with a stunning triple processed hot foil card backer courtesy of Sidekick Lab, Astro Knight is likely to follow previous releases with an alotted edition of 25 priced at around $75 each. Look out for them in the Healeymade store this Friday, August 15th at 3pm EST…

Having worked on a huge number of painted runs for various artists over the past few months, Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has secured arguably one of his biggest projects to date- a painted run of Yusei and Moon Majin figures for Longneck’s Yoda Masahico! Created for mini exhibition “JON & PUNCH”, to be held at Yoda-san’s legendary Comso Knight Alpha this Friday, August 15th until Monday, August 18th, the super-limited run appears to feature just 2 of both the Yusei and Moon variants, each coming with a crazy mix of multi-coloured camo bodies and flesh toned faces. For those lucky enough to be in the vicinity of the Tokyo based store this week, you can expect to pay upwards of around 50,000yen ($488) per figure…

As promised in our coverage of the “Teal” Bedtime Bunnies last week, Peter Kato is proud to introduce the second in a series of 3 releases dropping this month, teaming up with illustrator Andrea Kang for the debut of the “Blank Artist Series” Bedtime Bunnies! Featuring a slightly tweaked sculpt from previous releases to create a more appropriate “canvas” figure (the eagle eyed among you may have noticed the new lower non-sleepwalking arms for one!), the mid-sized 3″ tall figures have been hand cast in resin by Peter, with each painstakingly painted by Andrea in her unique dream-like style, with every figure unique in finish. Limited to an edition of just 10 pieces this time around, each coming packed in a custom screen printed box, the figures will be touching down in Peter’s store this Thursday, August 14th at 9pm EST for just $50 each plus shipping.
