Created as homage to one of the artist’s all time favourite sources of inspiration, Matango, and out of a general interest in mycology mythology, the mini mushroom kaiju stand at around 3″ of solid, hand cast resin, with this latest batch coming dyed in a variety of “Tropical” one-off Monster Kolor tints. Designed and sculpted by Plaseebo and rotocast in resin by True Cast Studio, the run of 4 one-off creations have been treated to multiple Monster Kolor sprays and hand painted detailing from DP, coming complete with a fitted LED light in the base plus replaceable battery. Recently spotted over at the Kaiju-Lab blog, the guys over at Chinese toy company Point Panda have just unveiled their latest run of gacha-style minis, the Green Green Army! Consisting of 8 of the world’s most endangered animals – from the Amur Leopard right through to the Red Panda – each “Green Army Man” style PVC figure has been beautifully sculpted in the 2″ keshi scale, decked out with thought provoking, WWII inspired attire, supplies and weapons and packed with their own propaganda-style mini poster. Due for release across Asia (presumably in capsule form) late August, the Green Green Army will set you back just 200yen ($2) a piece- here’s hoping we can get them over in the West at some point!

The guys over at ToyAsObject are proud to announce their latest custom bootleg release, the MiniNikku resin mini figures! Kit-bashed and re-sculpted by Object’s Sean Gallagher from a number of different classic M.U.S.C.L.E figures, the pair have been cast by none other than Kris Dufler in a multitude of matching one-off resin tints. Due to be sold through the TAO store soon for just $20 set, be sure to keep track of their dedicated Instagram feed here for solid release details over the next few days…

Having made a super-limited appearance at HeroesCon back in June, Scarecrowoven‘s Yügla the Glorg resin action figure finally returns for it’s first full release! Available in 2 different body types this time around, “Warrior” and “Mystical”, the 4.5″ tall figures have been kit-bashed and re-sculpted from a number of different vintage toys, both coming complete with a reduced version of the ever popular GLORG relief head sculpt (check the original right here). Hand cast in resin and meticulously painted in the artist’s signature palette of black, silver, neon blue and pink, both Warrior and Mystical have been limited to 50 pieces each, coming packaged on a blistered cardback with art from Scarecrowoven for $40 plus shipping… But that’s not all! On top of the standard release, the artist will also be offering up a special “Fantasy Package”, coming with one Mystical Glorg, a jumbo sticker, plus a Yügla teeshirt (in sizes S-XXL) for just $60. Motorbot is the latest artist to get in on Madballs’ recent resurgence amongst the indie toy community, proudly presenting his latest creation, the the My Pet Madball! Based on an illustration the artist created a couple of years back, the cycloptic beastie has been inspired by the classic 80’s plush “My Pet Monster”, perfectly realised in 3D as an authentically scaled, 3″ wide ball. Our good friend Peter Kato has readied a total of 3 new releases that’ll be dropping over the next few weeks, the first of which coming in the form of an all-new batch of “Teal” Bedtime Bunnies! Inspired by fan-reaction to some test shots a few weeks back, the beautiful blue/green tone of the ocean has been captured in 5 different shades ranging from dark to light, with each figure coming complete with a pair of sandy, beach yellow slippers. Limited to a run of 24 figures in total, both small ($12) and medium ($20) varieties will be up for grabs in Peter’s store this Thursday, August 7th at 9pm EST. Following our look at the “Melting Man” proto early last month, the guys over at Scumbags & Superstars have just revealed the second figure in their upcoming bootleg Madballs series! Inspired by the American football headed “Mud Brain” from infamous KO line Wacki Balls, the figure appears to be considerably bigger than the Melting Man, coming in at around 3″ tall and 4″ wide. To be joined by a whole host of other designs in the near future, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a release, whether it be rubber, foam or soft vinyl, before the year is out. Following the announcement of the RAMPAGE KAIBUTSUYA series earlier in the week, Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has just revealed yet another new figure destined for soft vinyl soon- the Pea-Shooter Mobile! Fully compatible with the Gachapon Goblin micros (primarily the pictured Crazy Unicorn!), the 1″ tall figure has been hand sculpted by Jon, featuring a static turret with a removable top that can be replaced by the GG top halves. Already in the final stages of wax prototyping, we’re guessing the tiny tank will be making it’s debut at Superfestival and NYCC in just a couple of months time. Cojica Toys are proud to announce that the second addition in the ongoing Kyoryuju series, the towering Tyranbo, is set to receive it’s first unpainted colourway next week! Standing at an impressive 9″ tall and coming with 3 points of articulation, the might rex has been produced in a dark blue/green soft vinyl this time around. Limited to a run of just 20, these will be touching down on the Cojica Toys site next Sunday, August 10th for around 5,000yen ($49) a piece. Demand is likely to be pretty high, so expect a lottery style system similar to previous releases…

The guys over at toy emporium Novelty Haus are proud to unveil their latest collaboration with Baltimore’s GreenPlasticTunnels, the Ω (OHM) resin art figure! Kit-bashed and hand cast from various vintage plastic artifacts of American culture, the summery, multi-hued figure stand at around 3.5″ tall, with each individual appendage having been crafted with quarter inch round pegs for both full articulation and interchangeability with future releases. Packaged in a clear plastic resealable box with two colour glow in the dark cardstock backing cards, the limited run of just 12 pieces will be touching down in the Novelty Haus store today (08/01) at 5pm EST for an undisclosed sum…

With the alternate triceratops Rotten Rexx head now finally making it’s way into production (check out our first reveal way back in January here), legendary toy designer and illustrator James Groman has got to work on a new series of Rexx minis, the Zombiesaurs! Currently consisting of 2 different designs, Vile-oceraptor and Rank-lasaurus, the 2-part figures should hopefully be making their debut in sofubi courtesy of Lulubell/Grody Shogun over the coming months. Monster Kolor are proud to reveal that they’ve secured a preorder for Dream Rocket’s latest vinyl figure, Gandye! Taken from Dynamic Kikaku/Toei Animation’s classic Devilman anime, the three-eyed monster has been sculpted and hand painted by Dream Rocket’s Yajima-san, standing approximately 12″ tall with an impressive total of 11 different parts. Originally debuting at Wonderfestival last week in a One-Up exclusive colourway, this second version has been produced in a metallic soft vinyl complete with orange and yellow sprays. Available through the Monster Kolor store right here, Gandye has been priced at $90 plus shipping…
