MAN-E-NEWS// Attack of the Mushroom People: Tropical Blanks from Gorgoloid…

Barry Allen aka Gorgoloid is proud to present a surprise drop of unpainted “Attack of the Mushroom People” resin figures! Created as homage to one of the artist’s all time favourite sources of inspiration, Matango, and out of a general interest in mycology mythology, the mini mushroom kaiju stand at around 3″ of solid, hand cast resin, with this latest batch coming dyed in a variety of “Tropical” one-off Monster Kolor tints. Limited to an edition of 19, the little fungi can be found in the Gorgoloid store right here for just $27 each plus shipping.

MAN-E-NEWS// Toy Art Gallery’s “Death Rides Again” group show now online…

Having opened it’s doors during our brief break over the weekend, the leftovers from Toy Art Gallery‘s “Death Rides Again” group show are now available online! Featuring a plethora of awesome paintings, drawings and sculpture from trio Lurk, Double Parlour and Mike Egan, highlights include a number of one-off custom Bones “With Wings” mash-ups, plus the debut of TAG’s latest sofubi, Lurkfoot from Lurk (top right) and the Merryners from Double Parlour (below). With stock already disappearing quick, we suggest any interested parties should head over right here and check out what’s left before it’s all gone…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Dead Ben Rises” custom run from Dead Presidents…

Dead Presidents are proud to reveal that a fresh batch of Dead Ben customs have just been unleashed on the Monster Kolor store! Designed and sculpted by Plaseebo and rotocast in resin by True Cast Studio, the run of 4 one-off creations have been treated to multiple Monster Kolor sprays and hand painted detailing from DP, coming complete with a fitted LED light in the base plus replaceable battery. Priced at $175 each plus shipping, the quartet are currently residing in the Monster Kolor store right here…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Green Green Army gacha minis from Point Panda…

Recently spotted over at the Kaiju-Lab blog, the guys over at Chinese toy company Point Panda have just unveiled their latest run of gacha-style minis, the Green Green Army! Consisting of 8 of the world’s most endangered animals – from the Amur Leopard right through to the Red Panda – each “Green Army Man” style PVC figure has been beautifully sculpted in the 2″ keshi scale, decked out with thought provoking, WWII inspired attire, supplies and weapons and packed with their own propaganda-style mini poster. Due for release across Asia (presumably in capsule form) late August, the Green Green Army will set you back just 200yen ($2) a piece- here’s hoping we can get them over in the West at some point!

MAN-E-NEWS// The MiniNikku resin one-offs from ToyAsObject…

The guys over at ToyAsObject are proud to announce their latest custom bootleg release, the MiniNikku resin mini figures! Kit-bashed and re-sculpted by Object’s Sean Gallagher from a number of different classic M.U.S.C.L.E figures, the pair have been cast by none other than Kris Dufler in a multitude of matching one-off resin tints. Due to be sold through the TAO store soon for just $20 set, be sure to keep track of their dedicated Instagram feed here for solid release details over the next few days…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Warrior” and “Mystical” Glorg resin action figures from Scarecrowoven…

Having made a super-limited appearance at HeroesCon back in June, Scarecrowoven‘s Yügla the Glorg resin action figure finally returns for it’s first full release! Available in 2 different body types this time around, “Warrior” and “Mystical”, the 4.5″ tall figures have been kit-bashed and re-sculpted from a number of different vintage toys, both coming complete with a reduced version of the ever popular GLORG relief head sculpt (check the original right here). Hand cast in resin and meticulously painted in the artist’s signature palette of black, silver, neon blue and pink, both Warrior and Mystical have been limited to 50 pieces each, coming packaged on a blistered cardback with art from Scarecrowoven for $40 plus shipping… But that’s not all! On top of the standard release, the artist will also be offering up a special “Fantasy Package”, coming with one Mystical Glorg, a jumbo sticker, plus a Yügla teeshirt (in sizes S-XXL) for just $60. Look out for the Glorgs in the Scarecrowoven store today (08/06) at Noon PST…

Continuing our recent swathe of Madball-related posts, Melt Monster maestro Honkey Lips has just revealed his latest batch of custom figures, the Melt Balls! Coming in at around the same scale as AMToys’ original gross-out line, the 3″ wide balls have each been treated to the artist’s signature “melt” finish, coming complete with super-creepy eye inserts, fake teeth and red boils fit to burst! Limited to a run of just 5 pieces, 3 in black and 2 in white, the Melt Balls will be touching down alongside a whole host of other new melty creations in the HL store this Friday, August 8th at 6pm PST, priced at around $30 a piece…

With the recent success of the first run of Nekos in My Pocket mini figures tucked firmly under his belt, Johan Ulrich over at DeathCat Toys is proud to reveal yet another one of his figures is to receive the “mini” treatment, the beautiful Lilith! Currently undergoing resin production courtesy of DuBose Art, the triptych-style design appears to have adapted to the new scale perfectly, making both a great standalone mini, or, with some slight alterations, an awesome piece of jewelry. Artist MannyX has just revealed that he’ll be returning to the bootleg mini figure ring with his latest resin series, L.U.C.H.A! Kit-bashed and re-sculpted from a number of M.U.S.C.L.E figures as well an assortment of other classic vintage toys, the motley crew of 4 wrestlers have been rescast by the artist in a keshi-gomu style flesh toned resin. Coming packed in an authentic M.U.S.C.L.E inspired 4-pack blister, the limited run of 10 sets will be touching down in the PatrullaX store alongside a whole host of one-off singles this Friday, August 8th at 1pm PST, priced at just $25 and $7 respectively…

Following the massive custom release last week courtesy of sculptors Double Haunt, the guys over at Bad Teeth Comics are proud to reveal that 2 all-new Mini Cheestroyer editions have just touched down in-store! Cast in a pink soft vinyl, the rather aptly titled “Bruised” has been treated to camo-style sprays and hand painted detailing in blue, black and gold, whilst the gummy candy inspired “Five Flavor” comes in a crystal clear vinyl, complete with a rainbow of C-Thru Monster Kolor fades from blue to red. Currently available to purchase right here, the pair have been priced at just $45 each plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// Motorbot’s “My Pet Madball” sculpt revealed…

Motorbot is the latest artist to get in on Madballs’ recent resurgence amongst the indie toy community, proudly presenting his latest creation, the the My Pet Madball! Based on an illustration the artist created a couple of years back, the cycloptic beastie has been inspired by the classic 80’s plush “My Pet Monster”, perfectly realised in 3D as an authentically scaled, 3″ wide ball. Due to be making an initial appearance in resin followed by a full run in a Madball-style foam soon, be sure to keep track of Motorbot’s Instagram feed here for release details later this week…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Teal” Bedtime Bunny resin figures from Peter Kato…

Our good friend Peter Kato has readied a total of 3 new releases that’ll be dropping over the next few weeks, the first of which coming in the form of an all-new batch of “Teal” Bedtime Bunnies! Inspired by fan-reaction to some test shots a few weeks back, the beautiful blue/green tone of the ocean has been captured in 5 different shades ranging from dark to light, with each figure coming complete with a pair of sandy, beach yellow slippers. Limited to a run of 24 figures in total, both small ($12) and medium ($20) varieties will be up for grabs in Peter’s store this Thursday, August 7th at 9pm EST. Having featured at Wonderfestival last week as part of the huge Paralyzing Toys booth, Datadub over at Fig-Lab has just unleashed his remaining exclusives in the Fig-X store! Here’s a quick rundown of what’s currently up for grabs…

Datadub Fig5 “Uamouflage” edition- Datadub’s own Finger5 sofubi micro returns in a special hand painted colourway from none other than Uamou! Cast in a “Boba Fett” grey soft vinyl, the 2″ figure comes complete with one-off green, white and black hand painted detailing for just 2,000yen ($20) a piece.

Black Polito “Millennial Monster” edition- Originally created for the “10 Years Yeah!” petit exhibition a couple of weeks back, Rolito’s elusive Black Polito sofubi returns in Datadub’s signature “Millennial Monster” colourway! Cast in a white vinyl with subtle black and red sprays from the legendary Goto-san and coming complete with removable insert and helmet, the little guy has been limited to an edition of just 5, priced at 7,000yen ($69) each.

Sensor Bat “Millennial Monster” edition- Joining Polito, Galaxy People’s Sensor Bat is also up for grabs in the striking MM colourway! Cast in white vinyl with black, red and silver sprays, Sensor Bat can be yours for just 2,500yen ($25) plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// Scumbags and Superstars’ Mud Brain inspired bootleg Madball sculpt revealed…

Following our look at the “Melting Man” proto early last month, the guys over at Scumbags & Superstars have just revealed the second figure in their upcoming bootleg Madballs series! Inspired by the American football headed “Mud Brain” from infamous KO line Wacki Balls, the figure appears to be considerably bigger than the Melting Man, coming in at around 3″ tall and 4″ wide. To be joined by a whole host of other designs in the near future, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a release, whether it be rubber, foam or soft vinyl, before the year is out. MAN-E-NEWS// Rampage Toys’ Pea-Shooter Mobile sofubi micro revealed…

Following the announcement of the RAMPAGE KAIBUTSUYA series earlier in the week, Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has just revealed yet another new figure destined for soft vinyl soon- the Pea-Shooter Mobile! Fully compatible with the Gachapon Goblin micros (primarily the pictured Crazy Unicorn!), the 1″ tall figure has been hand sculpted by Jon, featuring a static turret with a removable top that can be replaced by the GG top halves. Already in the final stages of wax prototyping, we’re guessing the tiny tank will be making it’s debut at Superfestival and NYCC in just a couple of months time. Stay tuned for more info as soon as we hear anything!

Cojica Toys are proud to announce that the second addition in the ongoing Kyoryuju series, the towering Tyranbo, is set to receive it’s first unpainted colourway next week! Standing at an impressive 9″ tall and coming with 3 points of articulation, the might rex has been produced in a dark blue/green soft vinyl this time around. Limited to a run of just 20, these will be touching down on the Cojica Toys site next Sunday, August 10th for around 5,000yen ($49) a piece. Demand is likely to be pretty high, so expect a lottery style system similar to previous releases…

With the summer in full swing over here in the UK it’s time to chill out with a long drink, and what better way to cool down than to with UME Toys‘ Sippy Shortstraw in an all-new “Pink Punch” colourway! Standing at just under 3″ tall (around 4.5″ with her resin straw), the originally sculpted figure has been cast in solid resin, coming in a hand painted mix of pink, purple and white acrylics. Packed with custom header and signed collectors card, the little lady will be available over at the UME online store today (08/01) at 9pm London time, coming in at just £29 each plus shipping…

The guys over at toy emporium Novelty Haus are proud to unveil their latest collaboration with Baltimore’s GreenPlasticTunnels, the Ω (OHM) resin art figure! Kit-bashed and hand cast from various vintage plastic artifacts of American culture, the summery, multi-hued figure stand at around 3.5″ tall, with each individual appendage having been crafted with quarter inch round pegs for both full articulation and interchangeability with future releases. Packaged in a clear plastic resealable box with two colour glow in the dark cardstock backing cards, the limited run of just 12 pieces will be touching down in the Novelty Haus store today (08/01) at 5pm EST for an undisclosed sum…

MAN-E-NEWS// James Groman’s “Vile-oceraptor” and “Rank-lasaurus” Zombiesaurs revealed…

With the alternate triceratops Rotten Rexx head now finally making it’s way into production (check out our first reveal way back in January here), legendary toy designer and illustrator James Groman has got to work on a new series of Rexx minis, the Zombiesaurs! Currently consisting of 2 different designs, Vile-oceraptor and Rank-lasaurus, the 2-part figures should hopefully be making their debut in sofubi courtesy of Lulubell/Grody Shogun over the coming months. MAN-E-NEWS// Dream Rocket’s Gandye figure in the Monster Kolor store…

Monster Kolor are proud to reveal that they’ve secured a preorder for Dream Rocket’s latest vinyl figure, Gandye! Taken from Dynamic Kikaku/Toei Animation’s classic Devilman anime, the three-eyed monster has been sculpted and hand painted by Dream Rocket’s Yajima-san, standing approximately 12″ tall with an impressive total of 11 different parts. Originally debuting at Wonderfestival last week in a One-Up exclusive colourway, this second version has been produced in a metallic soft vinyl complete with orange and yellow sprays. Available through the Monster Kolor store right here, Gandye has been priced at $90 plus shipping…
