Rotofugi have teamed up with Chris Ryniak and Squibbles Ink to bring back their collaborative Snybora sofubi for an SDCC exclusive “Blushing Envy” colourway! Sculpted and designed by Ryniak for the ongoing Lake Monster series, the 5″ tall figure has been cast in a grey soft vinyl, coming with green sprays and a black patina that match 2013’s original Blushing Snybora release. Keshi collectors heading to Wondefestival next weekend are going to be in for a treat, as not only can they expect the previously posted figures from Zoomoth and Shamrock Arrow, Newtervision will also be throwing his hat into the ring with an all-new officially licensed Karnov keshi! Based on the lead protagonist in the obscure 1987 platform arcade game from Data East, the Russian strong man has been perfectly realised in mini figure form, coming cast in a flesh toned rubber complete with resin “power-up” ladder accessory. Due to be going on sale exclusively at the Paralyzing Toyz WF booth next Sunday, July 27th, Karnov is likely to be priced at around 3,000yen ($30).
Coming as quite a surprise yesterday, the guys over at Zoomoth have revealed that not only will they be unleashing the previously posted Contra and Splatterhouse keshi at Wonderfestival next weekend, they’ll also be following up their hugely popular Samael sofubi with another officially licensed GnG figure, the fearsome Dullahan aka Shielder! Sculpted in the same scale as the previously released Arthur keshi, the towering beast comes in at just shy of 9″ tall, featuring a removable head that can be used to replicate the rock-hard boss’s signature decapitation move (seen below!). Shimomoku “Lampu Skull Mask”- Originally released (and quickly selling out!) over at Lulubell Toys last week, the latest version of the mischievous Lampu has been cast in a light mint green vinyl this time around, coming complete with a magnetically attached skull mask accessory. Johan Ulrich over at DeathCat Toys very kindly sheds a little more light on his upcoming collaboration with Nerdone, the “Nekos in My Pocket” playset! An ingenious mix of both keshi and sofubi, the super-fun set is due to feature 2 of Johan’s monochromatic rubber Death Cat minis housed in a fully painted MOTULOS castle from Nerdone- all coming packed with the beautiful header art created by Johan that you see above. The first figure to be released in the officially licensed Sega Retrogame Sofubi Collection, cult beat ’em up Altered Beast’s gruesome first stage boss has been sculpted by Masami Yamada, standing at a towering 9.5″ tall. Coming cast in what appears to be a flesh soft vinyl with layered brown and cream sprays, the fully articulated figure comes complete with a separate interchangeable head, plus flaming projectile omake.
