MAN-E-NEWS// MISHKA’s “Tie Die” Cyco Ape…

MISHKA have revealed that they will be releasing the latest Cyco Ape colourway in-store at Noon EST today (3/17)! Produced by none other than Grody Shogun, the towering 13″ tall monstrosity has been cast in a predominantly black 16 colour “tie dyed” marbled soft vinyl (no paint!) similar to the first run of Rotten Rexx at NYCC last October. Coming bagged and headed with an exclusive primate art print, pricing on the figure is still to be confirmed, but we’re guessing the beast is likely to come in at around $300 plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Lab Mice: Albino Test Subject Group 1 from Splurrt x Rampage Toys…

Yep, yet more Rampage sofubi micros today, as we bring you word of the first Lab Mice release- Albino Test Subject Group 1! Designed/sculpted by Splurrt and produced by Rampage Toys’ Jon Malmstedt in Japan, the debut 3 pack is set to come cast in a white soft vinyl, with a subtle mix of pink, blue and yellow sprays (final paint application TBC). Going up for pre-order in the Rampage Toys store alongside an unpainted black set (plus the Mutant Head Butt Attack leftovers!) this coming Monday, March 17th at 10am Japan time, pricing on the little guys is still to be confirmed…

Seeing numerous different releases over the past 6 of months courtesy of Rampage Toys‘ Gachapon Goblins series, Walter Parenton‘s Bobby Beast and Harry Demon sofubi micros are now up for grabs in 2 new colourways- a squishy Wild Raspberry and GID Triple Goddess! Designed by Parenton, sculpted by Joseph Harmon and produced by Rampage in Japan, the unpainted 2″ figures come packed together with exclusive custom header cards for the release. We’ve been closely following the progress of Awesome Toy‘s debut sofubi FAKE BARON for a few months now, so it came with great pleasure today to find that the figure is finally up for grabs! Heavily inspired by a collection of Pachi (bootleg) Red Baron menko cards from the 70′s, the stunning vintage styled figure stands at just shy of 9.5″ tall, coming cast in a red soft vinyl with silver and yellow hand painted detailing. Currently up for grabs through Medicom Toy for Japanese customers and Toy Underground for overseas, the Super Robot has been priced at just $90 plus shipping…

Teased here in our “Sugar Cookie” Mock Bat coverage just yesterday, Paul Kaiju has just revealed the full line-up of Gobocon mini figure sets that’ll be touching down this weekend! Featuring all 6 inhabitants of “Purgatory Village”; (L-R) Chuto, Machine gun Ghost, Gobocon, Boss Receiver, Neko May, and Gyochō the amphibious bully, the unlikely bunch have been cast in both pink and GID soft vinyl as previously mentioned, with both painted and blank versions up for grabs. Coming packaged in beautiful custom boxes hand-printed by Super*Junk, the Gobocon Sets will be touching down in the Paul Kaiju store this Sunday, March 17th at 6pm PST, priced at $130 and $90 respectively…

With Spring and St Patrick’s Day just around the corner, the colour green has not surprisingly dominated this month’s OTMFG offering, with October Toys proudly presenting the Lucky Green Zombie Pheyden, plus the debut of all-new character, Brocotal! Half vegetable, half gnome, the adorable little guy was designed and sculpted by OT’s George Gaspar, coming in at a micro 1.5″ tall. Produced in a “Leafy Green” injection moulded PVC to contrast against the Pheyden’s slightly lighter tones, both will be landing in the October Toys store right here at 12pm PST on Saturday, March 15th for a wallet friendly $2 each plus shipping…

myplastciheart have just unveiled the latest edition of Lou Pimentel’s Junior sofubi, the Batman inspired Dark Night! Based on the original resin Cranston Fellows Jnr colourway of the same name, the adorable little guy has been produced my mph in a grey soft vinyl this time around, complete with black, white and red masked sprays. Healeymade will be celebrating the luck of the Irish next week with his latest resin masterpiece, the “snake banishing” Incredible Saint Patrick! Originally created for a private commission last year, the custom bootleg “Jake the Snake” action figure has been resurrected once more, this time around coming in a mix of Hulk inspired green and purple resins with black, white and green hand painted painted detailing. Touching down in the Healeymade store next Monday, March 17th (St Patrick’s Day) at 9pm EST, expect confirmation on both pricing and edition size through the artist’s IG feed soon…

Hot off the heals of our look at the Lab Mice wax protos last week, Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has just revealed another 2 sofubi micros that’ll be debuting later this month, Sister Mayo and My Shaggy Little Unicorn! Created as a kind of mini follow-up to last year’s hugely popular Gachapon Goblin series, the all-new Sister Mayo has been designed and sculpted by Art Junkie, whilst the Little Unicorn has been adapted from the original GG sculpt- now coming complete with a thick gruff coat of hair! Due for pre-order alongside Splurrt‘s Lab Mice (pictured below) in both unpainted white and black in the coming weeks, be sure to keep a close eye on the Rampage IG feed here for more details soon…

Teased here earlier in the week, we can now reveal the full release details for Paul Kaiju‘s “Sugar Cookie” Mockbat raffle! Matching 2012’s SC Boss Carrion, the stunning 7″ tall figure has been cast in a hot pink soft vinyl with metallic green, silver and yellow sprays, coming complete with 2 alternate belly attachments plus a companion Hellmock mini. Touching down on the Paul Kaiju site for a 24 hours period starting at 12pm PST this Sunday, March 17th, lucky raffle winners will be expected to pay $150 plus shipping for the set… But that’s not all! Joining the Sugar Cookie Bat, Paul will also be releasing Gobocon mini sets in-store too! Whilst news on these is still pretty thin on the ground at the moment, we can at least confirm that they will be cast in a mix of pink and GID vinyl. Efra Sanchez over at Chamucos Studio is proud to reveal that the ongoing Micfits Social Club has finally entered the world of 3D with the release of a resin logo keychain! Depicting the club’s hilarious Disney/Misfits mash-up figurehead, the 2.75″ tall piece has been digitally sculpted, coming cast in a solid black resin with fitted looped chain. Available in either painted or blank forms priced at $15 and $12 each respectively, the keychains can be found alongside a whole host of new Micfits buttons, patches and stickers in-store right here…

Teased way back in November of last year, Steve Erst aka Liver Diet‘s Crab Man resin figure has finally seen it’s first official outing! Originally debuting alongside Erst’s other new creation “Benign Guy” at Rotofugi’s Toy Karma 4, the 4″ tall figure has been hand sculpt and produced by the artist, coming cast in a clear grape resin with orange/blue sprays and black brushed detailing. Limited to an edition of just 4, each coming with neo-mag articulation at the waist, the bagged and headed Crab Men have been priced at just $25 each plus shipping. Following our look at Mutant Vinyl Hardcore‘s various contributions for the hotly tipped “Mutant Head Butt Attack” at Rampage Studios this Friday, March 14th, Rampage Toys’ Jon Malmstedt has just revealed another 3 of his own custom creations for the show! Featuring the previously teased Meteor-X micro-run, coming in a red soft vinyl with yellow base, neon green lowlights and hot pink “ooze”, these have been joined by 2 one-off customs so far; a fully fledged, battle damaged Beserker Ollie and a stunning metallic blue/purple 6-Eyes DX… Keep track of the Rampage IG feed here for more reveals over the next couple of days, and be sure to come back tomorrow for a look at the remaining MVH customs from Skull Head Butt!

Originally made available at the recent Thrash Out Vol.2 show, the 5″ tall figure has been cast in a clear soft vinyl this time around, coming with masked copper and metallic yellow sprays with subtle silver accents. Celebrating their 4th Anniversary in style, MISHKA Tokyo have just revealed exclusive versions of both Cyco Ape and the MISHKA Boogie-Man! Originally teased here a couple of days back, the jaw-dropping Boogie has been cast in a black soft vinyl with green, red and purple sprays, coming complete with a custom blood splattered apron with pewter Cyco Simon detailing… Also cast in a black vinyl, Cyco Ape on the other hand has been given a full Nag-style workout, featuring a mix of neon blue and magenta sprays, a leopard print vest, studded wrist bands, plus the all important hand threaded hair. Touching down in the MISHKA Tokyo store next Thursday, March 20th, edition size and pricing on both figures is still to be confirmed…

Mandarake have teamed up with Medicom Toy for yet another huge exclusive this month, the “Hawaiian Version” Cosmos Aliens! Featuring both A and B type designs from the original 80’s Ooze-It inspired gachapon series, the pair have been cast in a super-soft fleshy pink vinyl this time around, with vintage-style red, blue, yellow and black sprays. Coming packed in the original gacha box with ooze plugs and bonus ”blood of the alien” collectors card, the mini figures will be touching down in the Nakano Mandarake Microkan on Saturday, March 22nd for 2,800yen ($27) each, online application will begin right here from March 23rd at 9am Japan time…

Max Toy Co have just revealed that the winning entry for last year’s Kaiju Gals competition, Kibunadon from artist Teresa Chiba, is finally ready to hit the wax! Expertly sculpted by Makino-san of TTToys, the beautiful 5 part design will be making it’s soft vinyl debut in April at the Design Festa gallery, Tokyo, with a worldwide release on the Max Toy store planned for soon after. Recently gracing Jet Turre‘s Kai Thunder with one of the most impressive painted runs we’ve seen in a while (check out our IG feed here for a closer look), BLObPUS has revealed that their highly popular Hormorah figure will be the next in the firing line! Whilst we can’t confirm whether the piece will be offered up via lottery or as an open run (fingers crossed on the latter!), it would appear that Hormorah will come cast in a similar GID soft vinyl with the artist’s signature mix of multi-layered black and metallic sprays.
