Brandon Barker over at ManOrMonster? Studios kicks the new year off with a bang, as he reveals his latest ongoing project… One-Off Wednesdays! Set to run right through 2014, Brandon has vowed to release a totally unique figure every week (that’s 52 in total!), including customs, colour variants and other assorted “oddery” from the MoM? vaults. Launching last night, the first figure up for grabs was the pictured Prophet of Doom. Standing at 5.75″ with a 6″ wing span, the Prophet was kit-bashed from a variety of vintage MOTU figures, complete with additional sculpting, 6 points of neo-mag articulation and a vintage Imperial axe. Priced at $75 plus shipping, the Prophet of Doom can be found in the MoM? store right here

TAG has teamed up with Yakimon for the gallery’s first exclusive of 2014, the New Years Edition Takoshi! Decked out in turquoise, orange, and gold sprays on a lovely glow-in-the-dark soft vinyl, the figure stands 8” tall, coming with articulation in the arms, head and waist. Packed with an ingenious removable mask and micro Tako figure, the New Years Takoshi will be available in the TAG store this Friday, January 3rd at 12pm Pacific time, retailing at just $125 plus shipping…

Originally selling out within a matter of minutes back in November, Blurble‘s Misfits inspired Sparrow is back for one last release! Available in two different colourways this time around; the original “Black Night” and a new “Crimson Red”, the 3″ figures have been hand cast in resin by Dubose Art, with hand painted skeletal detailing from Blurble. Both limited to an edition of just 4 pieces, each figure comes bagged and headed with removable hat and skateboard accessory for just $30 plus shipping. Look out for the little punks in the Blurble store this Saturday, January 4th at 12pm Pacific time…

Revealed in full last month, acolorfulmonster and Kenth Toy Works have kindly shared several resin paint tests for their upcoming collaborative figure, Zombitron! Co-designed by the pair and sculpted by Kenth, the awesome two-faced, four armed creature is due to be produced in sofubi upon the success of an upcoming Kickstarter campaign. Specific details are still thin on the ground at the moment, but we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that blank, painted and resin one-off versions will all feature as reward tiers when the project finally goes live… Stay tuned for more details soon, and be sure to head over to the acolorfulmonster IG feed here for a closer look at those paint tests!

MAN-E-NEWS// The Rampage Toys exclusive “Hawaii Version” Ooze-Ball and Claw set from The Disarticulators…

Hot off the heals of the (In)Action Figure 2 exclusives revealed over the weekend, The Disarticulators come with the latest edition of their new Ooze-Ball and Claw set… the Rampage Toys “Hawaii” version! Due to be making an appearance at Superfestival next Sunday, January 12th, both rubber ball and claw have been cast in a selection of vintage “Hawaii” kaiju inspired colours this time around, including fleshy pink, dark blue, black and yellow.

Limited to an edition of 10 unique sets, each coming with 4 randomly mixed parts, the Hawaii Version Ooze-Ball and Claw are due to come bagged and headed with exclusive artwork from Disarticulator, Tru:Tek, for around 4,000yen (approx. $40) each… Stay tuned for details of the online release soon!

MAN-E-NEWS// RESTORE’s Eternal Cloud sofubi revealed in full…

On display at NYCC in prototype form back in October, RESTORE have just revealed the first fully painted edition of their latest sofubi, Eternal Cloud! More sculpture than toy, the beautifully ornate piece stands at around 8″ tall, coming cast in soft vinyl with high-detail resin embellishments. Featuring a contrasting grey, purple and orange paint scheme with cream spray accents, this first edition is due to drop at some point in February 2014, coming in at 12,000yen (approx. $120) a piece. With 2013 drawing to a close, we’d just like to give you guys a massive thank you for making the last 12 months such a blast. From our loyal readers and collectors who have continued to support our work, right through to the artists who create the amazing toys we feature on a daily basis, the creativity, love and support from the indie toy scene since forming both Man-E-Toys and The Disarticulators has been truly humbling. Driving us on to make 2014 even bigger and better, we have a number of huge projects in the pipeline that we’ll be revealing soon, including a completely revamped site (with forum!), the debut of our first sofubi, our long-awaited Unbox Industries series, regular competitions, plus EVEN MORE hand made custom keshi… It’s going to be a biggie, so be sure to stay with us to always be the first in the know!

Coming fresh out of NY’s finest stonebaked oven, Vinny Tony’s Suck-Pizza is the latest thin and crispy treat to drop from the Sucklord! Offering up an original take on the “Frozen in Carbonite” theme (quite a feat when you consider how much is out there!), poor Solo has been encased in a 5″ resin pizza, complete with hand sprayed and brushed anchovies, mushrooms and pepperoni toppings. Packed in an authentic pizza box created by Sidekick Labs, the figure has been limited to an edition of 38 this time around, priced at $125 each plus shipping. Teased here a couple of weeks back, Eric Nilla has revealed that he’ll be teaming up with Jesse Destasio for a special keshi version of Tankhead! Originally conceived in resin way back in 2010, the resurrected mini figure has been cast in a flexible rubber this time around, coming with articulation at the neck and a choice of both solid and mixed part colourways. News on the release is unfortunately still forthcoming at the moment, so be sure to keep a close eye on both Nilla and Destasio‘s IG feeds for more details soon…

MAN-E-XCLUSIVE// The Disarticulators’ (In)Action Figure 2 show exclusive Ooze-ball and Ooze-claw revealed…

Revealed last week sporting the OG neon green and pink colours, The Disarticulators’ Ooze-claw will be making an appearance at Clutter‘s (In)Action Figure 2 show next month in an exclusive black and magenta colourway! Designed and sculpted by The Disarticulators‘ Zectron and produced in rubber by Tru:Tek, the 2-part design stands at around 2.5″ tall, coming with a craterman-style claw that perfectly cradles both Oozeball and MoD figures for multi-tiered display. Dropping at the event with an exclusive matching magenta Ooze-ball, the claws are due to come bagged with header art co-created by Tru:Tek and Ralph Niese. Limited to an edition of 10 this time around, expect to pay around $40 a set… Those unable to attend the event are going to need to sign up to the Clutter Gallery preview list right here for first dibs on any leftovers!

Originally selling out in a matter of minutes upon release last month, Gorgoloid has bowed to the pressure of fans and produced a second wave of Mushroom People resins! Limited to an edition of 20 one of a kind figures, the Mantango inspired kaijus stand at around 3″ tall, coming hand cast and coloured in a mix of opaque, translucent and two-tone Monster Kolor dyes. Marking the final release for Gorgoloid in 2013, the Mushroom People will be touching down in-store this Monday, December 30th at 6pm Pacific time for just $35 each plus shipping…

Teased here earlier in the week, The Tarantulas have just unveiled their New Years Eve Nibbler release in full! Featuring an all-new painted micro run courtesy of Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys, the “Teleport Fade” edition was inspired by a technique brought to NYCC ’10 by Real x Head’s Mori-san, coming cast in a crystal clear soft vinyl, with just half the body painted in the original Nibbler colours to produce this amazing effect… Dropping in the Fishtank Castle store alongside an unpainted clear Nibbler edition and a digital 1983.5 edition of the Fishtank Castle annual this New Years Eve, as usual, an exact release time won’t be confirmed until on the day- although we’re promised it won’t be near midnight in either the UK or the US! The guys over at Star Wars fan site Star Case have just teased their latest sofubi release, this time parodying everyones favourite bounty hunter, Boba Fett! Whilst a full figure reveal is still unavailable, the pictured box graphics would suggest that the first edition is due to come cast in a royal blue soft vinyl, complete with detailing in Fett’s iconic mix of grey, orangey yellow and green. Touching down in the Star Case store at some point in January, be sure to keep track of their dedicated blog here for full release details soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// Eraserhead and Chopper Manzilla custom keshi from Nama Niku x Eric Nilla revealed…

Nama Niku has just revealed not one, but two all-new custom keshi that’ll be debuting at an undisclosed show next month! First up we have the hilarious Eraserhead. Paying tribute to David Lynch’s cult classic film of the same name, the kinkeshi mini figure has been kitbashed with an actual pencil top eraser, coming complete with Nama’s signature belt branding. Produced by Eric Nilla in a new “sexier” rubber, expect to see the little guy cast up in a variety of one-off colours for around $15-$20 a piece… Next up we have Nama’s first fully articulated figure, Chopper Manzilla! Standing at around 3.75″ tall, an unusual size for a kinkeshi custom, the kitbashed figure comes with joints in the arms and legs, plus two interchangeable heads (including the return of Mekamess!). Once again cast by Eric Nilla, we’re guessing Chopper will be available for around $25-$30 upon release… Stay tuned for confirmation of the show these guys will be featuring at, and details on how to hopefully purchase them afterwards!

Blurble proudly presents his latest custom sofubi, the “Toxic Bootleg” Frenzy Barabarian! Utilising the standard 6″ Frenzy body with a suitably deformed “Mole” head, the Toxic Avenger inspired piece has been adorned with a number of red/blue sprays, subtle green fades and hand painted detailing. Due to come packed with a custom mop accessory for added authenticity, expect old Toxie to touch down in the Blurble store over the next few days for around $50 plus shipping…
