Debuting in Japan earlier in the year, Shikaruna Studios’ B-Movie Monsters Set has finally made an appearance in the West courtesy of Novelty Haus… Consisting of 6 sofubi micros based on the golden age of horror (including our favourite, the Critter!), the figures range from 1.5″-3″ tall, each coming complete with up to 4 points of articulation. Currently available in 3 different colourways; an unpainted flesh, plus 2 mixed configurations, the super-limited sets each come packed in a clear plastic box for $75 plus shipping. MAN-E-NEWS// The custom Ion Men artist proofs from turboPISTOLA…

Daniel Smith aka turboPISTOLA is proud to present his first run of Ion Men customs! Utilising his sleek clear black artist proof colourway, a total of 12 unique builds have been created for the release, with the 5″ tall sofubi ‘bots coming with a number of different finishes including beautiful sprayed fades, contrasting rubs and tight hand painted detailing. But that’s not all! On top of the awesome paint work, a number of the figures have also been fitted with switched LED units! Easily turned on and off with a little press of the pelvis, the mixed colour lights have been fitted to the end of the arms for an uber-cool laser effect. Due to touch down in the turboPISTOLA store today (12/4) at 9pm Eastern time, all 12 customs have been priced at a wallet friendly $30 plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Scraped Resin x HOODSLAM resin bootlegs…

Scraped Resin has joined forces with Oakland’s most intoxicated pro-wrestling/performance-art spectacle, HOODSLAM! A whole series of resin bootleg figures based off Hoodslam’s f’ed-up cast of psychotic wrestlers is planned, kicking off at Hoodslam’s December show: The Non Denominational Winter Season Celebrational Festivity…of Doom….. Dos! The first bootleg, kitbashed from a variety of 90’s action figures, will be The Dark Sheik. Coming in an edition of 8, with both ‘flesh’ and ‘black’ colourways chosen based on fan votes at Hoodslams FB page, these 3.75″ figures are due to come bagged with a custom Hoodslam header for $20 each as part of Scraped Resin’s Gram Slammers: Twenty Sack Wrestlers series. Due to touch down at the show this Saturday, December 7th, any remaining pieces will be headed to the Hoodslam store soon after. MAN-E-NEWS// The Goseimaju sofubi from Amapro…

Whilst we won’t pretend to know much about Amapro outside of their work with Grumble Toys, their latest release, Goseimaju, is just too crazy to ignore… From what we can gather, the series appears to consist of a variety of different custom one-off configurations, with the soft vinyl figures featuring chest busting heads, grafted bodies and winged apes that would leave even the most dubious of animal testers feeling squeamish! Releasing at the Doki Doki Osaka Sofubi Event last weekend in a Frankenruge-inspired mix of metallic green, blue and purple sprays on pink vinyl, the remaining 2 pieces, 13Go and 26Go (pictured), are currently up for grabs through forwarding service M-World for 7,800yen (approx. $80) and 8,800yen (approx. $90) respectively. MAN-E-NEWS// The “Circulatory System” NapNapNap resin figures from C.A.S.T…

Back by popular demand, Adam Saul of Cop A Squat Toys is proud to present the latest edition of his popular ¡Viva Occult! NapNapNap resin figure! A loving tribute to Shigeru’s 4 Eyed Nag, the hand sculpt and produced piece has been cast in a crystal clear resin this time around- with a hand painted circulatory system insert embedded inside! Coloured in a mix of clear GID blue and purple sprays with a clear coat finish, the batch of 15 figures (TBC) will be touching down in the C.A.S.T store at some point later this week. Be sure to keep an eye on Saul’s IG feed for further news on the release soon…

UPDATE// We have been informed the figures will be releasing in the C.A.S.T store this Saturday, December 7th at 3pm EST. Prcied at $65 each, they have been limited to an edition of just 15.

MAN-E-NEWS// MVH’s Stingy Jack WIP head sculpt revealed…

As if his growing army of still-to-be-released figures weren’t enough, Mutant Vinyl Hardcore‘s Rich Montanari Jr has just revealed that he will be teaming up with Brandt Peters and Circus Posterus for a new version of the Stingy Jack sofubi! Still in the early stages, the new head sculpt is set to take the figure into an altogether more creepy realm (how could we expect anything less?!), so far featuring 2 pairs of eyes, a devil goatee and a Joker-esque grin. Said to be only around 20% complete at present, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the figure as it develops over the coming months… But what about that DX lurking in the background?! Wildly different from the original pumpkin headed Stingy Jack, we can’t help but wonder if he’ll be featuring as part of the project in some form or another too- we guess only time will tell…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Mitari exclusive Poo Shine V2 from Nama Niku…

Teased here last month, Nama Niku has just revealed that the Gargamel exclusive Poo Shine ‘V2’ will be touching down in the Mitari store this Friday, December 6th! An ingenious kitbash that turns the original Sunshine Kinnikuman into a micro “chibi” size, the figure is set to come with the original’s 4 interchangeable heads; Moon Shine, Samurai Shine, Giza Shine and the namesake’s custom sculpted Poo Shine. Hand cast by Eric Nilla in a number of one-off, solid colourways exclusive to the release (previous editions had been mixed part only), the rubber figures are set to come packed in an authentic 70′s style capsule with insert for just 1,050yen (approx. $10) plus shipping. Joining the previously posted Ballock Baulble, the guys over at Triclops Studios have been readying yet another B.A.S.T.A.R.D release just in time for Christmas… the Venice Hulkin’ B.A.S.T.A.R.D 2 Pack! Originally selling out in a matter of minutes upon their release last month, the musclebound pair return for one more round, with The Tarantulas/Ralph Niese’s Final Boss coming cast in a Hulk inspired green, and Triclops’ Beefcake in an “Un-Tanned” flesh. Limited to an edition of just 5, the Hulkin’ 2 Pack will be dropping in the B.A.S.T.A.R.D store later this week for £25 plus shipping. Continuing his unstoppable run of art shows this year, Jeff Lamm has revealed he’ll be invading the Rivet Gallery this Saturday, December 7th for his latest solo exhibition, Giant Monsters, Total Combat! Set to feature a number of original illustrations, silkscreen prints, canvas prints, and digital prints, plus the arrival of the much requested “Muscle Flesh” Greasebat & Friends Gummi Play Set, the real lure has got to be the debut of the long awaited “Battle Damaged” M5 Bravo- coming cast in an exclusive red glitter vinyl courtesy of Unbox Industries! Running from 7pm-10pm this Saturday, any leftovers from the show will hopefully make it to the online store at some point next week…

MAN-E-NEWS// New MOTUKO sofubi from Lamour Supreme x Shamrock Arrow revealed…

It’s been an age since the last MOTUKO release, so it came with great pleasure today to find that Lamour Supreme has revealed an all-new colourway for the ever popular sofubi! Designed by the artist and sculpted/produced by Shamrock Arrow, the ultimate homage to He-Man knock-offs has been produced in a blood red and ivory mixed part vinyl this time around, complete with the standard 6 points of articulation. Unfortunately news on how and when these will be released is still to be confirmed at present, so be sure to keep a close eye on the Lamour IG feed here for more details soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// The End of Man and the Preserver Bird from Sergey Safonov…

Hot off the heals of his recent solo show “After Dark”, Sergey Safonov is proud to announce the release of not one, but two all-new porcelain figures! First up we have the concluding part of the Godot project- The End of the Man… Originally making appearances as a boy and an ageing adult, this final piece bids a fond farewell to the series, with the mini beaked skull coming cast in a beautiful unglazed white bisque porcelain. Available in limited quantities, the figure can be found on the artist’s store right here for $40 shipped.

Next up we have the Preserver bird… A fully functioning set consisting of a dish and bird ‘hood’, this wonderfully realised piece stands at around 5″x5″, coming in the same unglazed white bisque porcelain as The End of Man. Toy Art Gallery are proud to announce that they’ve teamed up with legendary toy designer Tim Clarke for the release of their latest self produced soft vinyl figure, the TOTIMS! A personal idol of ours as the co-creator of both Sectaurs (Coleco) and Boglins (Mattel) in the 1980’s, Clarke has translated his iconic “gross-out” style perfectly for this release, with the 8″ tall totem-style figure coming with a total of 4 interchangeable sections that can be fitted together or capped for display on their own! Cast in a hot pink vinyl for the debut release, the Japan produced TOTIMS will be touching down in the TAG store this Wednesday, December 4th at 12pm PST for an undisclosed sum… Here’s hoping we see a fully painted version soon!

MAN-E-NEWS// One-Off Dokuro DX custom from BLObPUS…

Originally created for last weekend’s Doki Doki Osaka Sofubi Event, BLObPUS has just revealed that a leftover Dokuro DX custom will be up for grabs via lottery this week! Cast in a glow-in-the-dark soft vinyl, the Mutant Vinyl Hardcore piece has been decked out in a number of metallic blue and purple sprays this time around, complete with a creepy pair of oversized glass dolls eye inserts. Priced at an estimated 20,000yen ($200) plus shipping, interested parties are going to need to keep an eye on the BLObPUS blog here for details on how to enter the lottery tomorrow (12/4)…

The guys over at October Toys have just revealed that their Cyber Monday Goodies have just touched down in-store! Seeing the arrival of OMFG Series 2 in a much requested glow-in-the-dark colourway, the batch of 5 2″ scaled PVC mini figures come packed on the standard series blister card for just $10 per set. Limited to an edition of 200, these can be found in the OT store right here… Joining the GID OMFG, Cyber Monday sees the release of not one, not two, but three exclusive Walking Dead comic mini figure sets too! Sculpted by OT’s George Gaspar, each set consists of a main character (either Rick, Carl or Negan), complete with ‘walker’. Standing at around 2″ of injection moulded PVC, the figures have been produced in an exclusive light blue that matches the protos for OT’s own undead series, Z.O.M.B.I.E. Angel Abby have teamed up with GEEK! for an exclusive release, and whilst it sadly doesn’t feature a new Jyjin, the guys have knocked up a micro run of the equally as cool Yaghan People! Cast in a black soft vinyl this time around, Angel Abby have adorned the 24cm tall piece with a number of metallic sprays, finishing off with a pair of creepy orange dolls eye inserts. Available in strictly limited quantities through the Angel Abby store right here, the Yaghan People has been priced at just $90 plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// Healeymade’s Cyberdyne Monday sale…

In a similar vein to the previously posted Cyborg sale from The Mark Ultra, Healeymade will be releasing two new resin figures in what he’s dubbed Cyberdyne Monday! First up we have the return of Zabka in a sleek “Terminate” colourway. Cast in a glossy black resin with silver and red hand painted detailing, these skeleton-come-cyborg warriors have been limited to an edition of 4 this time around, priced at just $80 each with shipping included… Joining the Zabkas, Healey has also resurrected his Deka Sunshine bootleg for a special Cybershine colourway. Standing at around 4″ tall, the hand cast resin figure has been hand painted in solid silver, complete with embedded blue jewels in both the chest and forehead. Pricing and edition size on these is still to be confirmed, but you can expect them in the Healeymade store alongside the Zabkas at some point later today. Continuing their run of monthly releases, Mandarake have once again teamed up with Bearmodel for an exclusive run of Alien Atler and Alien Wolf sofubi! Taken from the ongoing “All Kaiju Collection”, the classic Ultraman monsters stand at around 15cm tall each, coming cast in a cream soft vinyl with light, vintage style paint apps conceived by Leo sofvi bouya. Priced at 5,000yen (approx. $50) each plus shipping, the pair are currently up for grabs via lottery through the Mandarake site right here. Not strictly a sale per-say, Ultra will instead be offering up the second version of the Space Pirate King, with the bounty hunting bootleg coming cast in a variety one-off, unpainted, mixed colour resins.
