MAN-E-NEWS// The SHUB ZEROTH & Kaijin Dokugan custom set from BLObPUS x Metacrypt…

As if the Kai Thunder Vs. Gorgonzola preorder earlier this week wasn’t enough, BLObPUS has just revealed that he will be teaming up with Metacrypt for yet another 2 pack custom release! Featuring the mighty Shub Zeroth alongside BLObPUS’ own Kaijin Dokugan mini, the pair have been cast in a black soft vinyl, complete with matching metallic and flesh-toned sprays. As with the previous release, these guys will also be offered up as an open preorder, coming in at 14,800yen (approx. $150) plus shipping. Available for a 5 day period starting November 28th at Midnight Japan time, anyone interested is going to need to order through the BLObPUS blog via e-mail right here…

MAN-E-NEWS// The B.A.S.T.A.R.D Christmas Baulbles from Triclops Studio…

The guys over at Triclops Studio have just revealed THE best Christmas decoration any self-respecting toy head will need this year… the B.A.S.T.A.R.D Baulble! Featuring the ever-popular Ballock figure, the little guy has been cast in a festive green resin (unfortunately no chocolate here!), coming hand painted and fitted with a custom made Santa hat with tag. MAN-E-NEWS// Paulus Hyu x Chauskoskis’ Sleepwalker Nimbus sofubi revealed…

Paulus Hyu is set to take his adorable French Bulldog-inspired character into the world of sofubi, as he proudly presents the Sleepwalker Nimbus! Designed by Hyu and sculpted by none other than Chauskoskis, the little guy has been given a fully-fledged body this time around, complete with articulation in the arms, legs and head. MAN-E-NEWS// The Silver Shamrock “Final Battle” 2 pack from Retroband…

Following the release of Skeleton, Pumpkin and Witch, Retroband returns to cult horror Halloween 3 for one last release… the Silver Shamrock “Final Battle” 2 pack! Featuring the film’s main protagonist Dr Challis alongside the evil Cochran of the Silver Shamrock Novelties Factory (Bemused?! Check out the film’s plot here), the pair have been kit-bashed and resculpted from a variety of vintage 3.75″ action figures, coming cast in resin and hand painted by the artist. Double blister packed on a beautifully illustrated, traditional UV coated 6×9” cardback, the “Final Battle” is up for grabs in the Retroband store right here for $130 plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// Paul Kaiju’s Unchiman “Midnight Bloom” lottery…

Paul Kaiju has just revealed that the previously posted “Midnight Bloom” Unchimans will be finally up for grabs via lottery on Sunday, December 8th! Cast in a black soft vinyl this time around, the glorious mass of eyes and flesh has been given a metallic pink base, complete with purple, blue, red and gold sprays. Edition size and pricing are still to be confirmed, so be sure to sign up to Kaiju’s newsletter here to be the first in the know… Got your eye on that stunning Mockbat too? Teased here as a finished wax proto (albeit unassembled) earlier this month, acolorfulmonster is proud to reveal his collaboration with Kenth Toy Works in full… presenting the Space Zombot! Co-designed by the pair and sculpted by Kenth, the awesome figure will not be modular as previously thought, but will instead feature a double-sided design, complete with 4 arms and 2 faces! Due to be produced in sofubi at some point in the near future, the pair intend to fund the project through a Kickstarter campaign next year… Interested parties can keep track of both the Kenth Toy Works and acolorfulmonster IG feeds for more details soon…

Originally debuting almost 2 years ago now, Abell Octovan of My Royal Ego is proud to present the return of Lord On Board… in a “Pink is the New Black” colourway! Standing at around 8″ tall, the self-made resin figure re-imagines the one and only Dark Lord as a skateboarding punk, replete with sneakers, removable deck and that iconic helmet. Cast in a solid pink this time around, the beautifully realised figure is currently available through e-mail order (contact@myroyalego.com) for $180 shipped… But that’s not all! To celebrate the release of “Pink is the New Black”, Octovan is also offering up a super-limited batch of the original too! Cast in a black polished resin with gold accents, this one has also been priced at $180…

Wasting no time since the reveal of the Mushroom People last week, Barry Allen aka Gorgoloid is proud to present the third wave of Kaiju Rhaal! Standing at around 5″ of solid cast resin, the folklore/neo kaiju inspired beast has once again been limited to 4 one-off pieces, each coming coloured in a multitude of marbled Monster Kolor dyes. Finished with a mix of hand brushed detailing and a protective clear coat, the figures will be touching down in the Gorgoloid store this Wednesday, November 27th at 6pm Pacific time for $85 a piece…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Medicom exclusive Yusei Majin Moon (Crescent) from Longneck…

Previewed here last month, Longneck‘s Yusei Majin Moon (Crescent) is now up for preorder through Medicom Toy! Standing at an impressive 10″ tall, the follow up to Yusei Majin comes with a new pair of human arms, a bullet train accessory, plus that all-important Georges Méliès inspired moon head. Cast in a bright yellow, squishy soft vinyl, the piece has been decked out with a number of neon and metallic sprays, complete with an ingenious 2/3 blacked out “Crescent” face. Currently up for grabs via preorder for 16,000yen (approx. $160) plus shipping, Japanese orders can be placed here, whilst international customers are going to need to fill out the dedicated form here. Preorders are due to close on December 31st, with an estimated shipping date of March 2014…

Hot off the heels of Topheroy’s awesome custom run, Jeremi Rimmel over at Miscreation Toys is proud to present the latest addition to the Autopsy Baby family… the deliciously grotesque Lunch Specials! Marking the first general release of the highly sought after “Zombie Staple” sofubi, two different versions will be up for grabs; the “Expired Meat Edition”, cast in a unique marbled red/white soft vinyl with an authentic meat packing tray and nutrition label, and the “Akachanmaki To Go Edition”, coming unassembled in a mix of marbled flesh, GID and pink with serving tray and chop sticks. Limited to just 8 of each, the figures will be touching down in the Miscreation Toys store this Monday, November 25th at 12pm PST for $125 each plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Disarticulators’ Oozeball release revealed in full…

As promised at the beginning of last week, we’re proud to reveal the full line-up for tomorrow’s Oozeball release! Designed/sculpted by Zectron and produced in a super-bouncy urethane rubber by Tru:Tek, the hugely popular Madball/Ooze-It send up will be touching down in ’open run’ editions of both “Bootleg Neon” and “OG” vintage green for $25 each, a batch of 10 in “Midnight” black again priced at $25, plus a super-limited run of custom hand rubs- available either on their own at $30, or as a set with the Deathball for $80… But that’s not all! Intentionally obscured in the above promo image, there will also be a number of unique versions too, including one-off, never to be repeated colourways and custom vintage-style hand sprays. Heading to the Man-E-Toys store this Friday, November 22nd at 9pm London time, be sure to head over early to avoid disappointment!

NOTE// Until the kinks are worked out with the fully playable Oozeball (softer rubber, complete with OOZE!), these will remain in the same harder “display only” rubber used in previous releases.

Teased here just a couple of days back, Patient No.6‘s latest resin sculpture, PTASHKA (In my death i blame my life), has already made it into his store! Marking a slight change in direction from the artist’s usual psychiatry based art, the stunning sculpt features a sinister looking bird perched on an ‘all seeing’ hand, coming cast in an opaque white resin with minimal glossy black and red hand painted detailing. Standing at around 9″ tall, the impressive piece is currently up for grabs in the Patient No.6 store right here for just $86 shipped worldwide…

Inspired by the Odd Rods, Rat Fink and Car Kulture-styled monster models of the 60’s and 70’s, artist Dirty Donny has teamed up with Round 2 for the release of his very own garage-style resin figure, Two Much! Differing slightly from those vintage kits, Donny’s wonderfully realised piece actually manages to match the crazy box art(!), with the faithfully sculpted figure coming unpainted with a number of accessories, a display base and custom decal transfers designed by the artist himself. Releasing this Friday, November 22nd, Two Much will be available from a number of stores, including Monsters in Motion, for just $19.99 plus shipping…

To those still patiently waiting on their AlphaInvader and MicroInfecton shipments, you’re in luck, as Scott Wilkowski has just revealed that he’ll be including a copy of his latest mini figure, Micro Kong, with every outstanding order! Cast in a tan resin, the incredibly detailed micro is also currently up for grabs through Giant Robot via e-mail order too, so anyone interested is going to need to direct their enquiries to info@giantrobot.com ASAP… Here’s hoping the little guy gets a proper release in the near future!

MAN-E-NEWS// Rampage Toys at the Doki Doki Osaka Sofubi Event…

Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has just revealed a whole slew of toys he’ll be bringing along to the third annual Doki Doki Osaka Sofubi Event next weekend! A lot more intimate than the standard Japanese toy cons, with just a few dozen artists in attendance, Jon will namely be focusing on Rampage’s own self produced figures, bringing along a grip of new Gachapon Goblin custom sets (plus the debut of the Daemon “Uni-Oxter” mash-up), mint, black and clear blue unpainted micros, alongside not one, not two, but three Jeff Lamm micro runs, including the pictured “Stee-Gar-Amon” V2.0! Opening it’s doors next Sunday (12/1), expect any leftovers from the event to hit the Rampage store at some point the following week…

Celebrating the debut of his Spirited Away inspired Kaonashi (No-Face) resin, Sander Dinkgreve over at Flaw Toys is currently giving fans a chance at a special one-off version via Instagram! Standing at around 3.7″ tall, the super-smooth figure has been cast in a beautiful clear red resin, featuring a separate, sleek unpainted matt black mask. Those looking to enter are going to need to follow the artist on Instagram at @flawtoys, and repost the above image with the tag #FLAWTOYSWIN. A winner will be picked at random after the 11/23 closing date… Good luck to all who enter!

MAN-E-NEWS// Yakimon’s “Frankenruge” Feejee Fighter for Grasshut’s The End…

Miles of Yakimon is proud to present his latest ceramic masterpiece, the Feejee Fighter! Set to make it’s debut at Grasshut‘s “The End” next month (more details to follow), the gilled creature has been fired in a Frankenruge-inspired olive green, featuring the same white limbs, contrasting red/blue fades and solid black boots as the iconic vintage sofubi. We’re still not too sure if the piece is a one-off or part of a micro-run for the show, but either way, anyone looking to pick one up is going to need to sign up to the Grasshut waiting list by e-mailing their details to rainbowmaster at earthlink.net…

MAN-E-NEWS// Killer Bootlegs x theadamx’s “Hitch” custom bootleg revealed…

Killer Bootlegs has teamed up with theadamx for the release of their first custom bootleg series together, the Alfred Hitchcock inspired “Hitch”! Kicking things off with the Master of Suspense himself, the debut figure is set to feature a kit-bashed vintage Boss Hog body, complete with a 3D sculpted head from none other than HamFX. Currently undergoing the final stages of prototyping, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for word on the finished article soon… With this being the series’ debut figure, we’re left eagerly speculating what Hitchcock character will be appearing next- Vertigo’s Madeleine Elster? Psycho’s Norman Bates? The Birds’ Melanie Daniels? All would make killer additions, but we guess only time will tell!

After a long hiatus from the toy scene, Steve Erst aka Liver Diet returns with his latest resin release, the Crab Men! Originally debuting alongside Erst’s other new creation “Benign Guy” at Rotofugi’s Toy Karma 4 last month, the 4″ tall figure has been hand sculpt and produced by the artist, coming cast in a clear grape colourway for this first full release. Limited to an edition of just 5, expect these to pop up in the Liver Diet store at some point in the near future.
