MAN-E-NEWS// The Spirited Away “No-Face” resin figure from Flaw Toys…
As an avid collector of Studio Ghibli figures, Flaw Toys‘ Sander Dinkgreve was disappointed to find that Spirited Away’s No-Face had received little attention, so taking matters into his own hands, the artist’s been hard at work on his very own interpretation! Standing at around 3.7″ tall, the super-smooth figure was hand sculpt and cast by Sander, coming complete with the mysterious spirit’s instantly recognisable mask. Available in both clear smoked and solid black colourways, No-Face has been priced at €28 a piece, and just €50 for the pair. Interested parties can check them out in the Flaw Toys store right here…

With Christmas little over a month away, Krotpong has been getting into the mood with the reveal of a rather festive run of Killer Krampus figures! Inspired by the instantly recognisable blues and whites of Delftware pottery, the icy looking ‘Anti-Santas’ appear to be cast in a white pearl soft vinyl this time around, replete with a mix of light blue sprays and gold/red detailing. Due to come packed with a matching Naughty Child and ruten (to beat said child!), these should be making their way to the Krotpong store soon for $100 a piece. After numerous failed attempts, Triclops Studio have finally sorted their sh*t out and created a wee shop to house their shonky homage to knock-off toys, the B.A.S.T.A.R.D figure line! Opening it’s doors tomorrow (11/15) at 3pm London time, the store is set to feature a limited selection of resin, painted resin, rubber & vinyl figs – including THAT long delayed Venice B.A.S.T.A.R.D Beach collab twin pack release! The guys plan to keep the shop topped-up with new characters as they’re created, with several exciting projects already bubbling at the moment, including an intriguing “sexy” collab, plus special releases for both Thanksgiving and Christmas… Be sure to stay tuned to find out more soon!

Launching at the Paul Kasmin Gallery Shop in Chelsea, NYC, this week, Buff Monster has revealed he will be offering up a number of different mini figures via a vintage-style Toy Machine! Consisting of 2 different sections that’ll be offering up 2 different toy series; the first, a run of Ice Cream Resin Heads which feature 4 different designs (Original, Zombie, Devil, Skull) as well as some rare Double Zombies and a half Devil/half Zombie, and the second, a new batch of Melty Misfit Cheap Toys featuring 2 previously unreleased designs, both are due to come in a mix of blind boxed unpainted, painted and even bronze finishes. Originally conceived by the artist back in October 2012 as a range of buttons and mailable postcards, the set of 6 rather tragic characters were whittled down to the 3 perfectly formed mini figures you see above; Patches the ghost, Nibbles the candy corn and Gourdie the pumpkin. Sculpted and produced by JR Deem over at Sandtastic Toys and Art, the hand cast and painted resin minis are currently up for grabs in-store for just $20 each plus shipping- you better hurry though, as preorders end at Midnight (Eastern Standard Time) on November 17th!

It’s been close to a year since we first laid eyes on Mutant Vinyl Hardcore‘s finished Berserker sculpt, so it came with great pleasure today to find that the breathtaking tribute to Lord Humungous will finally see the light of day early next year! Revealed as a print/toy collaboration with singer/illustrator Farron Loathing from the Lightning Swords of Death, we’re guessing the 2-part release will feature the recently revealed pink Berserkers pictured above- albeit lavished in MVH’s unmistakeable paint style! Having already seen a huge amount of success from their recently released Mini-Cheestroyer, the guys over at Bad Teeth Comics and Double Haunt have just revealed their plans of taking the figure into the realms of full vinyl production! Currently looking for funding through Kickstarter, a pledge of just $35AUS will secure you one of the 4.5″ figures, with the first run due to host GID, Crystal Clear and Clear with Guts editions. Featuring a number of other pledge rewards, including hand-painted resins, clear resins and copies of the Cheestroyer comic book, stretch goals also bring the interesting prospect of a variant head for the figure, plus a micro version of the original “Cheese” character. Running until Thursday, December 12th, the Mini-Cheestroyer Kickstarter campaign can be found right here…

Hot off the heals of Alpha Resin‘s release last week, Adam Saul over at Cop A Squat Toys reveals the latest figure in the ongoing ¡Viva Occult! series, NapNapNap! A loving tribute to Shigeru’s 4 Eyed Blue Garamon Nag, the 4″ tall figure has been hand sculpt and cast in resin by the artist, coming with two sets of googly eyes embedded in the head. Sprayed in a Garamon-inspired metallic blue and cream for this reveal, Saul will hopefully be releasing it as a micro paint run alongside some one-off clear variants soon. Consisting of a number of Medicom releases including Kaiju Ken’s Onilla and Tezuka’s Blueda & Golsenos, the real draw has got to be the 3 pieces pictured above; the previously unrevealed Creamon from Buff Monster and Totim from Nick Clarke, plus yet another TAG exclusive GEEK! Jyujin in a stunning Enishi Green! Fresh from his huge comeback at NYCC last month, our good friend Peter Kato is proud to present his store releases for November! Seeing it’s third edition already, the mole bearing Mogu Tank has been given a “Mocha” inspired colourway this time around, coming hand cast with a removable light tan body with dark grey highlights, a light chocolate nose cone and a rich brown tank tread. Limited to an edition of 10 this time around, the Mogu Tanks come packed in a custom box for just $30 plus shipping… Next up, we have the return of the hugely popular Army Jacks! Debuting, and promptly selling out at NYCC, the digitally sculpted figures stand at a micro-sized 1″ tall (in scale with Mogu Tank), once again coming cast in an army man green resin. Limited to just 24 at $5 each, the Army Jacks will be touching down alongside Mogu Tank in the Peter Kato store this Thursday, November 14th…

Whilst we can’t confirm anything at present, Blobpus‘ recent IG post would suggest that Yamomark and Jet Turre custom runs are in the pipeline! Featuring the tentacled Gorgonzola alongside the hugely popular Kai Thunder, both seem to be cast in a GID vinyl, replete with the artist’s signature mix of layered neon and metallic sprays. We’re still unsure as to whether these will be available as an open run, or a rather more limited lottery sale, although we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for the former! Previewed here earlier in the month, Mike Woods over at Falcon Toys has just revealed that the ingenious ‘Gumball’ Breaking Baddies will finally be up for grabs this week! Kit-bashed from a vintage R2D2 action figure, the hilarious boot has been recast in resin, featuring a gumball-red paint job, a coin turner/R2 mash-up chest decal, plus the piece de resistance… a clear cast dome head with miniature gumballs encased inside! Limited to an edition of 10, each coming packed with a GPK-style sticker, Gumball will be touching down in the Falcon Toys store this Wednesday, November 13th at 5pm Central time for just $35 a piece…

Bob Conge aka Plaseebo is proud to reveal his entry for TAG‘s upcoming ‘Artists Assemble’ group show, the Cyclops YO Tank! Taking the legendary Stan Lee’s DIY platform toy YO into the realms of kaiju, the vinyl figure has had it’s legs removed and replaced with a rotocast resin tank. Fitted with a huge cycloptic glass eye and a switched colour changing LED unit mounted in the base, the piece has then been sprayed in a mix of pink, purple, lime and brown to dazzling effect. Coming signed and numbered by the artist, the Cyclops YO Tank will be up for grabs alongside a whole host of other YO customs at the show’s opening this Friday, November 15th…

A more than worthy follow up to last year’s beautiful Spacesuits Panda, Cacooca proudly present their latest resin figure, Miners Panda! Standing at around 6″ tall, the wonderfully crafted piece once again nails Cacooca’s signature ‘sketchy’ style both in terms of sculpt and paint application, featuring the same inky scribbles and smudges that make all of their 3D work appear to have leapt straight from the artist’s drawing board.
